My trip through Bosnia (and part of Croatia) with a rental car was fantastic. My trip through Bosnia (and part of Croatia) with a rental car was fantastic. My local specialist, Laurent, skillfully helped me figure out a loose itinerary based on my interests and set up my hotels ahead of time, so it was no muss no fuss, and the hotels were excellent and charming overall. Bosnia was relatively un-touristed when I visited, except for Mostar which lured in the day-trippers from Croatia, so it was great to not have to deal with hordes of tour buses. I had great culinary adventures with roast lamb in Jablanica, čevapi in Travnik, croissants at a 500 year old bakery in Sarajevo, fresh trout in Una National Park, and so on. There was splendid bridge architecture in Mostar, Sarajevo, Višegrad, and Trebinje. Amazing castle overlooks and old town hikes in Počitjelj, the decaying 1984 Winter Olympics venue in Sarajevo, and the sculpture garden at Ostrožac castle was incredible. Beautiful Muslim, Orthodox and Catholic holy places were often built right next to each other in nearly every town. And the river and waterfall colors throughout the country from the limestone and other rocks were incredible. Also notable, the very well done and sobering Srebrenica memorial museum and cemetery, a definite must-visit along with the numerous "Sarajevo Roses" throughout the city, awful reminders of the terrible war in the 90s. One tip: Try to mostly drive in the day time, if you can, because the roads in Bosnia are often very narrow, winding, and sometimes rough and irregularly patched

Thank you so much Joseph for this wonderful and detailed feedback. I’m really happy to hear that the trip went so well and that Bosnia left such a strong impression on you.

It was a real pleasure helping you shape this itinerary around your interests, and I’m especially glad the route, hotels, food experiences, and cultural stops all came together so nicely.

Thank you again for traveling with us and for sharing such thoughtful impressions.

Even if you do your research, it is always daunting to be in Australia and book a tour via email with an unknown company in another country. However, in this case our eight day tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina with Green Visions was excellent and delivered on all aspects.

Firstly, our contact with Samer in the Bosnian office was prompt, positive, efficient and reassuring. He initially solicited information from me about our requirements and interests and proposed a draft itinerary. We sent this back and forth a couple of times until we had a plan that met our needs. Each time, Samer provided advice but also listened to us.

Secondly, the itinerary was as comprehensive as it could be in our timeframe but also varied and offered diverse experiences. The pace of the tour was relaxed. We discovered that the beauty of a private tour was the flexibility. Even with the itinerary we could vary the day by eliminating or adding places or spending less or more time at places, so long as we were at our accommodation that night. The hotels all met our needs and were centrally located. The minibus was basic but sufficed. The price of the tour was very reasonable we felt.

Our guide Lorenc was very knowledgeable and organised and communicated clearly. He was also flexible so we could change things spontaneously as we went along. In can be quite hard to be in a car with a stranger for several days but Lorenc was personable and easy to talk to about a range of topics. He was generous in spirit, shared his passion for his county and nature and provided a deeper understanding of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its people, history, and culture. We had quite a few laughs along the way too. In the end we appreciated his consideration and care of the two of us and he showed a genuine concern that we should have the best experience of his country. Lorenc is a very thoughtful and kind man. While Green Visions largely offers adventure and hiking tours, I would recommend them for cultural tours too.

Dear Rae, Your kind words are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to write this detailed review. I am delighted that the trip met your expectations and that, despite postponing it from May to October, everything went smoothly.

Hopefully, we will see you back in Bosnia sometime in the future.
Thank you once again for choosing us and visiting Bosnia with us.

Greetings from Sarajevo, from Lorenc, Samer, and the entire Green Visions Team.

Thank you Samer for opening our eyes to what Bosnia has to offer, it was truly a great experience!

Average no frills hotel. It was clean, location was great, staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Room was a little small, but this wasn't issue for us as it was just a good place to rest after a long day of exploring.I have no concerns at all with my stay here.

I should mention that Samer's speciality is guiding hikes in the mountain, and as this is also a passion of mine we were well matched.

The team was ecomodating with my changing whims. I walked around 8 hours a day which is exactly what I asked for. It was a perfect tailor made trip and which it can go on. They were also effective in getting covid tests.
Communication with samer was easy via the kimkim app.
Can I give 6 stars for this trip?
Bosnia in June is divine.

Cheers. Gil from cleveland.
Note that I love travel and this is my 70th country. I consider bosnia as top 10.

The only thing we didn't like about our trip was that it was over.
Stunnigly beautiful mountains and villages, fresh water, cozy cabins and delicious food.
Our guide Samer was not only a true professional but also a wonderful person we really enjoyed spending time with. Highly recommended and we look forward to coming back.

Hello Doron,
Thank you very much for great words.

I truly enjoyed the tour we did, from many different reasons, my first hiking tour of the season, weather and most of all the company.

Have a great time in Mostar and hope our paths will cross again.
All the best.

Unfortunately we weren't able to climb the Maglic Mountain because one of the girls didn't have 'high' hiking shoes because she didn't knew this was a pre, so maybe it's good to notice this when people are booking. The rafting was good for the diversity in the week. Overall: very happy with Kimkim and would book again here. No further recommendations and thanks for all.
