Hotel Review
Armada Hotel
Istanbul

Good location, friendly staff, good service, rooms were comfortable, cute, and cleaned well every day. It was a really nice hotel and had the most amazing breakfast with fresh eggs, frittata, sausage, salad, pastries, bagel, cereals, toast, honey, molasses, bulgar wheat, various cheeses; it really was one of the nicest breakfasts from a hotel we've ever had, plus there's the view of the blue mosque or the sea the other side. The food on the terrace we had at dinner on the first night was also really good - best dolmades we've had (and we dont really like dolmades!) Highly recommend. The only reason it didn't get five stars is there are a few small repairs that need doing here and there so it's not a five star hotel in that sense, but we had a fab time and would definitely go back.

My wife and I visited Turkey in May 2026 having planned and booked the trip in two weeks, thanks to the team at Corciebo Travel, but special mention goes to Buse. We had the pleasure of working with Buse who was very eager to help us plan our vacation and immediately arranged a call to discuss our needs, where we would like to visit and also recommended some tours to consider. We visited Istanbul, where we were met by Ishmail (our guide for our time in the city). Ishmail's knowledge of Istanbul knew no bounds and we had a wonderful time touring the city and learning about the culture, history and food. Following Istanbul, we arrived in Bodrum, where Buse surprised us by securing an all-inclusive resort stay - perfect for us to unwind after 4 days of touring in Istanbul. We really wanted to sail the Turkish Riviera and this is where Buse's agility really helped in securing a gullet stay which my wife and I will remember for the rest of our lives. We sailed with FarOut Turkey, captained by Ahmet and his wonderful crew. My wife had done her own research and Buse was open to using a service provider we preferred, making the booking process so smooth. We wrapped up our Turkish adventure in Antalya and left Turkey with a full and happy heart. Thank you to Buse, Corciebo Travel, all the drivers who supported with transfers and the wonderful crew aboard Cheers (FarOut Turkey). We are already planning our next vacation in the beautiful Turkey.

We loved the special services of being picked up and brought to our lovely hotel, Armada in Istanbul then have our guide Zekiye meet us- she is awesome, so knowledgeable about the history and the stories shared about the places she showed us in Istanbul. She even recommended us to take a boat tour on the Bosphorus. We enjoyed spending two days with her. Then the guide for Cappodacia, Nihat was also equally knowledgeable and shared so much history about the area. We are becoming educated about this beautiful country, Turkey. We especially appreciate both guides’ flexibility to change some venues when we say we were more interested in architecture and visiting small villages to seeing more Christian paintings and churches in caves. We appreciate that. All in all the planning by KimKim’s team made our trip memorable and the transportation seamless.

Hotel Reviews
Kale Konak Hotel

It is a lovely cave hotel at the topmost part of Cappodacia. Our room was beautifully appointed and surprisingly very comfortable. Cool in the heat and warm at night. Plenty of lights as there are no windows. The only negative was the deep steps, as its an ancient site, the steps were difficult for us as older people to handle going up and down to get to our room.

Authenticity & Character
It is an authentic cave hotel, there is also a meditation/Turkish room with pillows for us to lie and read. Its lovely.
Location
It is located just across from the famous cave formation called the Castle.however pretty far from most restaurants in the area. We had limited choices where to eat in the evening as the hotel only served breakfast which were plentiful, sumptuous and very delicious. Luckily our guide would take us to nice restaurants before dropping us off for the day.
Staff
The hostess is a lovely young lady who made sure our breakfast was served promptly as soon as we arrived. She was very warm and friendly.
Cleanliness & Comfort
The room was very clean and the room made up daily.

It was a very hot day, we asked if we can forego this activity instead our guide took us to the village of Ayvali and Mustafapha which are very, very special and well worth our time. We visited a traditional Turkish restaurant, had a lovely lunch and met the owner who knew sign language. It was fun to converse with him and with his Deaf aunt via videophone. We also got to watch a small village election for a mayor. The changing of the flags for each party, etc It was fascinating to watch for a while. We also asked for a few hours on our own. We went browsing among the shops near our hotel. We got to watch a master Tuff carver create beautiful formations like we see in the landscape. We enjoyed chatting with some shop owners, learned about Zultanite stones, wow. And just sit in a cafe, and enjoy the views.

Quality of Experience
We chose what we wanted to do and our guide was flexible to find alternatives which we appreciate.

We liked the fact that our guide began our tour after arriving from the airport with light and easy visits viewing the Upchisar valley and so on. It was not fast paced and we appreciate that.

Wow, just wow! Imagine people having to live underground for days!! I do have a phobia of small spaces so I am proud of myself for forging ahead and visit. It was worth it! Learned so much and how ingenious people back then were in creating a living space for their animals, themselves, making wine, kitchen and even a church. How they close those spaces with those heavy circular rocks!! I am very impressed. I am also impressed with myself for being able to navigate through those narrow tunnels!!

The set up is so romantic. Enjoyed the red Turkish wine, so smooth and delicious and the snacks really complements it. This trip was for our 45th wedding anniversary so it made it all the more special. Love the views too. Then we noticed the sky darken, true enough it started to rain suddenly, we all ran into our van. It was so funny. We never got to see the sun set but it emulates our wedding. it rained heavily the morning of our outdoor wedding. We went ahead and then it stopped raining and the sun came out when it was time for our wedding. Wow, we see it as a sign of good luck. So, when it rained on our wedding anniversary romantic sunset event, we see it as a good omen that good days are ahead. Smile.

Love visiting and seeing the landscape and the formations for the first time- I was in awe!! I could not believe my eyes and had to keep looking to see new formations, shapes, and the impossible concept of a heavy rock balanced on a precarious top. It is otherworldly! I was also fascinated to see a police station inside one of the formations! So cool!!

It is awesome to see what nature has formed.

We have never seen anything like this so it was so fascinating to watch the dancing. I am truly impressed that they were able to twirl continuously and in sync with each other with closed eyes!! I did try and oh boy, was I dizzy and off balance, especially when trying to close my eyes too. It takes years of training and skill!! We enjoy learning about different traditions, culture, clothing, food and customs etc. this one fits the bill. We enjoyed learning about the history of this place too and visiting the room with the beautiful lamps, so magical.

We loved trying our hand at creating pottery at the wheel. The guide at the pottery shop explained the process and also the famous ring wine of the Hittites. We loved learning about the history of this art and seeing all the beautiful ceramics. We immensely enjoyed the time spent there. We visited Love Valley and walked a bit, took some pictures then had delicious pistachio coffee for the first time. We sat and enjoyed the view from the cafe. I enjoy seeing the colored ceramic jars decorating the trees instead of "love locks" these are "jars of love and wishes" makes great and fascinating travel pictures.

Quality of Experience
Love seeing the natural formations, it continues to give me awe when I see them, I could stay and stare at what nature made.

It was interesting at first but then seeing more sacred art in different caves became a bit tiring also, it's all uphill on a very hot day. We opted to stop sooner and did not see the rest. I realize we are not Christians and do not feel much affinity toward the paintings. But for Christians and those who love sacred art, seeing these in unusual places, the caves and the fact that these exist for your viewing is spectacular.

When asked our guide we want to stop and not continue, he was flexible and took us to other interesting small villages. We ate lunch at a favorite restaurant of our guide. The Turkish food was excellent, what a coincidence, the owner's aunts and grandfather was Deaf and he signed with me. I was able to chat a bit with one of his aunts via videophone. It was so cool.

Loved visiting the spice and the Grand Bazaar. I liked that our guide took us to the spice market the first day as its smaller and to acquaint us to “bazaars” then the Grand Bazaar which can be a bit overwhelming with its size but we only chose a few “streets” as we had specific things we wanted to buy. We also visited the oldest Turkish delight candy store, visited Rustum mosque with its beautiful blue tiles, and went on a boat tour on the Bosphorus to see both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul which fascinated us. It was a wonderful ending to a lovely tour to just sit on the boat, relax and drink tea seeing the sights. Highly recommend to end with that as we were a bit foot weary by then.

Quality of Experience
As explained above, we get to see bits of history in the places we visited, we even had lunch at the famous Pudding House, delicious food- very authentic Turkish which we appreciate. We even visited an old notable cemetery. Fascinated at the different approach to burials. Fascinating

Zehra was amazing. Very quick to deal with our requests and answer our questions and she kept an open dialogue with us throughout the trip ensuring we had all the contact info on all our guides and drivers.
Our guide Eda in Istanbul was very good. She showed us how to you the transit system and sent us directions for our outings on our free day.
a tip for other travellers - air flights in turkey only allow 15kg checkin whereas international is 23kg. We had to pay extra on every flight.
Pera Palace Hotel was excellent. In Cappadocia, Alan and I were in a small room much Lower Than the rest of our group and little space for our luggage. The 2 at the higher level had separate rooms with fireplaces and plenty of room. We ended up upgrading 2 level and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to be at the same level as our friends. Otherwise you had to wait for golf carts to get back and forth. The room we were given was amazing. Also the pool was heated. The hot air balloon was amazing. I would recommend it to everyone!
Our guide in Antalya, Fatih Babaoglu, wasn't sure what he was supposed to show us until I showed him our writeup. It was a long day visiting the Roman ruins which made a very late lunch.
The boat from Olympos to feithye was a disappointment, partly because it was so rough and cool we weren't really able to swim. We could barely move around the boat when it was moving. We couldn't get into Blue Lagoon. Secondly the food was not great. There was very little protein in the meals so we were hungry sooner. Very basic meals, little variety and desert really only 1 night. Also no power outlets in the cabins so my husband could not use his sleep apnea machine and had to store his insulin at the bar (making it easier for him to forget it). Cabins were extremely small and not well laid out. My husband and I had a double and single in our room so had to crawl over each other to get in and out of the bed.
Bodrum was great. The Marmara Hotel was great and the views awesome. It would have been great to have had a heated pool as it was chilly. As it was up in the mountain we needed a taxi to get back up but it wasn't too expensive.
We really needed a full day in Pamukkale . It had some amazing sites but we didn't arrive til around 1pm and had to get lunch before we toured the main attractions. We ended up taking a golf cart to see the Roman ruins (which I think might be the best way as they are really spread out). We would have liked to have gone in the Cleopatra pool as it was open again but we didn't have time and we couldn't go in the limestone laden springs as it was too slippy. It was still wonderful to see. The Richmond Pamukkale Thermal Pool was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotels on our tour. It was a very worn resort hotel and catered to huge groups. Even the dinner wasn't great - too crowded too many people and buffet style!

We couldn't ask for a better and most knowledgeable tour guide, Cengiz in Istanbul, showing us the Blue Mosque, The Topkapi Palace, the Bazaar, taking us on a Food Tour and explaining the history of each place we visited, making the trip even more enjoyable. The Turkish Bath was the hit of our tour in Istanbul as the girls absolutely loved it. We flew into Cappadocia to do the Air Balloon which was cancelled due to poor weather conditions. This did not matter as their tour in the Underground City and the Perfume making made up for it. Not only that but our accommodations in the Kayakapi Premium Cave Hotel was incredible and the sun came out for the kids to enjoy the pool and a swim before flying back to Istanbul. This trip was absolutely wonderful thanks to Burcu, our drivers, and our tour guides. I only wish we were their a few more days to enjoy this beautiful city!

It was wonderful not to worry about the logistics; everything from domestic flights and private transfers to hotel accommodations was arranged for us.

All three of our guides were amazing. Zekiye showed us around Istanbul for two days, providing interesting historical and local context along the way while being incredibly personable. From historic sites like the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace to a trip across the Bosphorus to Kadikoy, we were able to experience many different sides of Istanbul. Efe spent two days with us in Cappadocia and took great care of us, facilitating fun and engaging visits to Kaymakli Underground City, Goreme Open Air Museum, and a local pottery shop in Avanos. Finally, Ozan took us to Ephesus for the day and even showed us around a bit of Izmir near our hotel. He brought great energy to the Ephesus tour and was very knowledgeable about the site's history.

We would definitely recommend the KimKim team to anyone traveling to Turkey! Turkey is a beautiful county, and we are already discussing when we can return for another visit.

We had a very enjoyable and a deep dive into the fascinating history of Turkey. We appreciated experiencing the iconic sites of Istanbul: Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace (Harem), Haghia Sophia and Hippodrome. In Cappadocia to experience the Goreme Valley Monastery, Derinkuyu Underground city and the unique geological formations and balloon ride. In the Aegean region Urlice Vineyards, Ephesus, Aphrodisiacs, Hierapolis and Pamukiale. Experiencing the port city of Fethiye and while on the boat to visit Butterfly Valley, Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon), St Nicholas Island, Kas, Sunken City and Kekova. Around Antalya to visit Myra, Phaselis, Perge and the incredible theater in Aspendos. We enjoyed staying in the old town of Antalya.
Zehra, our travel consultant, was very knowledgeable and helpful in putting together the trip we wanted and getting us off the beaten path. Despite a few delays on flights the entire trip went smoothly, and we were in contact with Zehra at each phase of the trip. The trip was more costly than I anticipated but when you consider it was a private tour for 3 weeks, the vehicle travel and the days we were with guides, the cost is understandable.
All the guides were very knowledgeable and professional. I would point out that guides Uraz Nehir and Mustafa Sahun were exceptional. Good safe drivers are essential. Most of the drivers were very careful. The drivers in Istanbul were too fast for our liking and the one on arrival in Antalya was replaced after the first day because of his driving habits. Ahmed, our driver from Izmir to Fethiye, was exceptional. He was professional, very careful on the road and was very mindful of our well-being. He was also the only driver which spoke some English.
The accommodations were mostly lovely boutique hotels with hotel reception staff which were very friendly and helpful. The Richmond Pamukkale Thermal was the exception in being a massive tourist hotel that was not as pleasant as our other hotels.
The boat trip was great despite the occasionally cool and windy conditions. It was about the right number of days. The beauty and history of the coast was impressive. Something that we appreciated very much was the flexibility of the daily activities to meet our preferences. For example, Judi saw a poster with the cliff tombs of Myra. Our guide was receptive to seeing Myra and Phaselis when we disembarked from our boat trip on the way to Antalya.

We just returned on a 10 day trip to Turkiye.
Corbeico did a fantastic job or planning, booking and the executing the trip. We worked with Buse to plan our entire trip and tailored it to what we wanted to do. She was very patient in terms of answering my questions and making useful suggestions. We made our own hotel bookings because we wanted better quality hotels. Each pickup and drop off was perfectly on time. Their people were always at the airport to pick us up on time. We never had to wait around. Their vans were clean and the drivers were punctual. Our Istanbul guide Ismail showed us around for 3 days. We had a great day of seeing the main Sultanahment area sites- Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Bascilica Cistern, Topkapi palaceband Harem were the highlights. Ismail then took us to Dolmabacche Palace (a bit over the top), the grand Sulemaniye mosque, Egyptian Spice market, Ortakoy and a Bosphorus cruise. In between we went to Cappadocia and the returned for a day to the Asian side of Istanbul. Ismail was again our guide and took us around to Camlica hill, Uskadur, Kuzguncuk and Kadikoy. Ismail always took us to good local restaurants as we wanted to try Istanbul street food rather than eat at fancy restaurants.
We spent 3 days in Cappadocia as well. Our guide Didem was superb. The places that we enjoyed the most were the Goreme open air museum and the Zelve open air museum. The geology and cave houses, some with churches and painted frescoes. The geology in Cappadocia is truly like nothing else we have seen. An ancient volcano deposited ash over a vast area and erosion and weathering over millions of years has created a unique geology of towers, conical shapes etc. The Derinkuyu underground city was one of the highlights. It is hard to imagine how this elaborate underground city could house 30,000 people, their livestock, grain, water and have elaborate ventilation systems. Didem also took us to local restaurants to eat simple, authentic Turkish food as we requested. Some of the stops to see overpriced Pottery and semi precious jewelry was something we could have avoided. The pottery and precious stones were lovely but the prices were absurdly high. The two castles Uchisar and Ortahisar were quite imposing. The clean air, fresh air in Cappadocia was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Due to weather conditions our Balloon trip got canceled on the day we booked it as well as on the reserve day. That would have enhanced the experience in Cappadocia

All in all a very successful trip that exceeded our expectations

I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that your 10-day trip to Turkiye exceeded your expectations! It was a true pleasure working with you to tailor the itinerary exactly to your wishes, and I really appreciate your patience and collaboration throughout the planning process.
I am so glad to hear that all your transfers were seamless, on time, and comfortable. We take great pride in our punctuality, so knowing that our drivers and airport teams met your standards means a lot to us.
I will certainly pass on your wonderful compliments to Ismail and Didem. Ismail was so happy to show you around both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul—and I'm glad he could guide you to those authentic local street food spots you wanted to try! It sounds like you had a truly rich cultural and culinary experience.
In Cappadocia, I'm delighted that Didem could bring the fascinating history of the Göreme and Zelve open-air museums, as well as the incredible Derinkuyu underground city, to life for you.
A Quick Note on Your Feedback:
I completely understand your note regarding the pottery and jewelry stops and the high prices there. We always want our guests to feel comfortable, so I will review this feedback with our local team to ensure our future stops feel more balanced and high-value.
Also, I am incredibly sorry that the weather didn't cooperate for your hot air balloon ride, even on the reserve day. Mother Nature can be unpredictable, but I hope it gives you a wonderful reason to visit Cappadocia again in the future!
Thank you again for trusting Corbeico Travel (and me!) with your Turkish adventure. I would be absolutely delighted to help you plan any future trips back to Turkiye whenever you are ready.
Take care, and I hope to hear from you again soon!
Warm regards,

Every communication, every driver, every guide and all reservations were perfectly on time and professional. Ground transportation was clean and high quality. Each of our guides were terrific - Volkan in Istanbul, Burcu in Ephesus/Laodicea/Pamukkale, Yakup in Antalya, and Sumer (Efe) in Cappadocia. Hotels were all unique from each other and consistently nice. In-country flights were super easy and on time. Food in Turkey is terrific, though somewhat limited for vegetarians. Our guides went out of their way to help us find places that had good vege options. We really felt that we were given the best tour of Turkey that 13 days could allow. This was definitely not an inexpensive trip, but the quality of everything and the professionalism of this team made it feel like we absolutely got our money's worth! We really loved Turkey! Now if they'd all just quit smoking, lol! If you love history, you need to do this trip.

Kimkim was recommended to me by my brother and I’m so glad I used this service.
Everything was planned perfectly in country from the moment we were picked at the Istanbul airport to the drop off at the end.
We had 3 different engaging, knowledgeable guides over the course of 9 days. They all spoke excellent English and accommodated our every need. Hotels were well-located and at our comfort level.
Zehra planned and executed this trip exactly as we wanted it. Much appreciated and well-done!

Senem was our guide and we could not have been happier with her. Ephesus had been a must on our tour and we were not disappointed. Senem had a knowledge of the place and its time that helped us to image how people must have lived there. We throughly enjoyed our day.

This was a great trip, well planned! We wanted to explore Turkey with our 9- and 11-year-old kids, but were a bit anxious about all the domestic flights and road trips on top of the transatlantic flights. Berat worked with us to take some locations off the itinerary and add others based on our preferences, and gave us knowledgeable insights that helped us make decisions. We tailored the trip to our wishes and our kids' stamina, and we had an incredible time. Turkey is a beautiful country, very accessible, and its people were very welcoming.

Our local guides (Zekiye, Ozan, and Efe) took us through sites in three different regions with just the right amount of historical and cultural information. They were great with our kids, sensitive to how ambitious we chose to be on any given day. Our drivers were all prompt and friendly. We received almost daily WhatsApp communications from Murat, one of our trip planners, with reminders about our itinerary and helpful information, which were greatly appreciated.

At times during the trip planning process, communication was slow, with us waiting several days for replies to questions. Ultimately, this was not a problem, because we planned our itinerary well in advance. But even so, we had a few minor surprise alterations to the trip on the ground, which might have been avoided by better communication. These were small things (one site visit moved to another day; a bike ride deemed too ambitious for our kids despite a conversation about it weeks earlier). Our planners and guides shuffled our schedule and found replacement items very efficiently, and none of this deteriorated from the trip in the end. Still, some momentary confusion for us and a little disappointment for our kids might have been avoided. None of this is a major criticism. We had a terrific trip and would recommend Berat and her whole team of planners and guides.

Kale Konak Hotel

The cave hotels of Cappadocia are a pretty magical experience, as long as you're okay with they're being little to no daylight in your room. The charm and design of Kale Konak is very special. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff is very kind and helpful.

Bed was a bit hard... and you should be advised that the cave walls and ceiling vents do shed a bit of grit and dust which could be felt in our bed. This is probably unavoidable and was almost part of the charm, but it wasn't ideal.
Nur Beach Hotel
Antalya

We were here in the off-season, and it seemed to us that the hotel was completing some renovations and/or was not quite ready for the busy season. Little things were off: the pool wasn't ready, the wifi didn't work, our room's safe didn't work, the balcony door had no lock on it. These small items did not ruin our stay, however. Because the hotel was far from at-capacity, they graciously upgraded our room to a larger one with an extraordinary view, and provided rollaway beds for our kids.

A great experience with my guide Efe and driver Musa.
I liked how flexible they were—we sometimes switched the order of our stops so we could avoid rain/tour buses, etc and also added stops when time became available. All being previously discussed, of course.
Thank you to both Efe and Musa!

We were a party of 3 friends who booked our trip to Turkey with KimKim and we 100% recommend them and would return to Turkey to travel again with this agency! Our tour arrangers were exceptionally responsive - Murat and Hulya helped coordinate for us when we were in Turkey and were incredible - our messages were meticulously detailed with our itinerary, driver information and flight info. They went above and beyond to take care of us- when I left my Kindle at a hotel - they coordinated with our driver and guide in the next city to retrieve that item for me so I could have it in hand before I left Turkey. Similarly, when the weather was not looking good for our hot air balloon flight in Capadoccia, they rearranged our itinerary so that we could go on our flight the day before - and it was SO memorable! Our tour guides - Emre, Ozan and Efe - were all so knowledgeable, hospitable, and professional - Ozan especially enriched our experience and helped us fall in love with Turkey. All of the drivers and tour vans were exceptional - my friends and I had never ridden in such comfortable tour vehicles (they had refrigerators in the car for water). All of the hotel accommodations were comfortable - Berat made sure we each had our own beds in each hotel. Amongst all of them - we LOVED the Kale Kona Hotel - we hope to return there one day, it was an amazing place. We hope to return to Turkey with KimKim one day to go to other places we have not seen yet.
