Casa Balthazar, Lisbon
Historic family-run boutique hotel offering rooms with kitchenettes and hot tubs, a pool, and a tasty breakfast

Fantastic hotel and the most delicious breakfast of the trip. Concierge Ruth went above and beyond and was amazing.

The service was outstanding. The room I stayed in was exceptional. Loved the antique setting.
Well located, very professional staff, and a great location. This hotel provided a great start to our visit.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Lisbon. It is quite quaint and feels more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel. It has a private... Read more
Really nice and unique hotel
Overview
The rooms combine a modern style with antique furniture and hardwood floors to create a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. As they follow the structure of the original house, each room is different. Some have kitchenettes, and three have hot tubs on their large terraces overlooking the city. Views differ as well, as rooms look over the inner courtyard or Lisbon and may include the São Jorge Castle. Bathrooms include showers or bathtubs; some have both, while all feature stylish encaustic or patterned tiles on the floor. While the hotel welcomes guests over 16, its overall vibe is one more suitable for couples or friends.
There's a small pool and a charming courtyard where you can relax, and the helpful staff will welcome you with wine in your room when you arrive. Grab a drink at the honesty bar, and while there's no restaurant, you can enjoy breakfast courtesy of the oldest patisserie in Lisbon, Confeiraria Nacional, owned by the same family and opened in 1829.
