Train trip from Nimes to Clermot Ferrand was unique 106 tunnels through beautiful landscapes. Well worth the trip back to the south of France. The Domes were better than expected and the history was amazing

In our fifty years of marriage, we have traveled to many places. However this trip to France planned through Kimkim and the AMAZING AMANDINE was the best one ever!!! She gathered our input and created a dream itinerary to enable us to explore that beautiful country to get an excellent overview for the next time we visit!. Each tour was interesting and different and every tour guide was knowledgeable in whatever area or activity we were exploring. Favorites were Chef Fred and our French cooking class in Paris including a visit to the market for our ingredients. Axelle took us on the best food tasting and walking tour in Lyon providing some of our favorite memories! And the Seine dinner cruise was a beautiful (and delicious!) way to spend our last night in France. Amandine arranged all transportation as well from airports to hotels to train stations etc. and each driver was friendly and courteous. She was immediately available when we couldn't find one driver right away and in no time we were in touch with him thanks to her. She listened to our input regarding the type of hotels we especially like and found the perfect ones that offered a variety of styles, great locations and excellent accommodations. Deepest thanks and gratitude to Amandine for the best 50th Anniversary trip we will forever cherish! She is truly a gem and it was a special treat to get to meet her and thank her in person!

French Cooking Class with Market Visit

Chef Fred was kind and friendly and it was great fun to chat while walking to the subway to ride to the market and then shopping for the ingredients once we decided on our chosen meal. Getting to cook in his Parisienne kitchen and learn delicious recipes was a fun experience and one of our favorite activities in Paris! Plus he promptly emailed them for us to try at home.

We loved meeting Axelle! She was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun. It was a treat trying the variety of offerings at each stop and learning so much history along the way. This was one of our most favorite memories of our trip!

Axelle was a wonderful tour guide! The stop at Shop de la Rue and samplings of the wine, meats, cheeses and bread in their underground stone area was a great experience! The shop owner's son and partner was funny and adorable!!!

Amazing trip to France! Very pleased with Amandine in helping us plan our excursions etc. The itinerary was great. We did have one hiccup (completely our fault) and we ended up missing a train bringing us back to Paris from Bayeux. Within 5-10 mins we had new train tickets in our email and an updated itinerary once getting back into Paris. The communication from KimKim was outstanding during this stressful time of our trip. Cannot say enough how wonderful it was to have everything taken care of due to our error. Hotels were fabulous, tours were nice and small which we like. We didn't have anymore than 6 people on any given tour with most less than that. We will continue to use KimKim for our yearly International trip! Thanks so much.

We were especially impressed by her quick response when our train was delayed causing us to run late to a dinner cruise. I planned a mother daughter trip to Switzerland, Italy, and Greece with the help of my KimKim specialist, Amandine. This was my 2nd trip through KimKim. I requested safe, mid- luxury hotels, 3 modes of transportation, and safe, confirmed activities/excursions. It was amazing! First, my hotel accommodations were all located in safe places, had A/C, and were absolutely mid- luxury. What a treat to be pleasantly surprised every few days as we traveled through 3 countries. In addition, Amandine arranged for train passes and for particular high volume travel- she even booked seat reservations. What a relief to see my name on a reserved car waiting for us outside the train station to take us to our hotel in Milan, Italy, a highly traveled location with limited taxi availability.
Kimkim was also able to help us with some flight connections across European countries. Finally, let me tell you that booking with Kimkim is worth its weight in gold for booking activities: excursions. We enjoyed a boat ride in Lake Como, Italy and a sailboat sunset cruise in Greece. The boat operators were professionals. No need to be concerned for your safety or if you would receive high quality tour explanations and service. It’s horrible to travel somewhere new and realize that your booked excursion is the less desirable one when you get there. Kimkim has connections with the best and safest excursion companies! I’m already planning my husband’s retirement trip, and, of course, it will be booked through Kimkim.

If you are tired from traveling and need a clean room to stay in prior to your next trip, this is the place. Beautiful remodeled bathrooms. It does, however, have antiquated carpet in the hotel lobby and hallways. The brunch was spectacular: a variety of options.

Absolute highlight of the trip. We went to Jungfrau the same day as their famous marathon. People from around the world come to compete in this. We absolutely loved the cable car up to the summit. It was newly built in 2022.

Amandine put together a trip of a life time for my wife, son, daughter in law and myself. Our favorite places were Aix En Provence, Grotto of Mary Magdalene, Albi and Toulouse. These experiences were made even more memorable by our guides Olivia and Marine. Finally, Amandine really pulled us out of a jam when we forgot our passports in a hotel safe in Toulouse and got them to us in Barcelona before flight was scheduled to leave — 24 hours! Truly amazing client service.

We really enjoyed the trip overall and all our guides and transportation were incredible and made everything special. The only disappointed lies with the lodging options. Our first Hotel was an Astotel (The Palm). We didn't like the location at all and the afternoon snacks were nothing worth having honestly (pre-packaged candies essentially). The only benefit was that it was very clean and close to Montmarte. However, the immediate vicinity was seriously lacking as a place to be in Paris. I'm surprised it was recommended to us. Also at both hotels people talked of views etc, (especially at the Palm with Eiffel tower views) both times our views of trash/back alleys. We did like the area of the 2nd hotel much better but as a 4 star hotel the service wasn't any different from the Palm (3 star) except, they had a spa which was nice but again the service wasn't that great from what I was expecting. Also our air conditioning broke the last night which was annoying, nothing could be done about it in the middle of the night and we left the next morning. I am wondering if we didn't get the nicer views since we didn't book direct with the hotel? Besides making the hotel reservations where we required family rooms (4 people), I don't see the benefit of booking hotels with KimKim. The transportation, car rental, train tickets and private experiences, absolutely. The hotel in Burgundy (which I found) was absolutely incredible, views, hospitality and food was truly unforgettable.
Every guide we interacted with for our private tours were incredible and lovely to be with. We loved David from the Louvre and Kim from the wine tour in Burgundy. However, the limited information we received for each experience was strange to me. For example, our wine tour, when you look on the tour operators website they detail so much yet the kimkim voucher had no details essentially, so we did not really know what we were getting. I feel like the are leaving details out so you can't find out the price but people would be much more reassured if you knew more details. The private bike tour was really great but the bike even for our little one was really hard for her to use with the extremely large hand breaks. The guide was amazing and tried to adjust best he could. My girls loved it (8 yo and 6yo). She made it through regardless with a little blister (the guide had a first aid kit) and she is so strong to overcome it but most younger kids would have a hard time with a bike like that. Our girls are great at biking so a tandem bike was not something we wanted to do at all. The details on how the bikes were presented would have helped to make sense of everything. Basically, the information we got was, meet your guide here and nothing else. We met him at a fountain, walked to a parking garage, where they had maybe 40 bikes +, boxes of helmets etc. If I had known that I wouldn't have been measuring our bikes at home to ensure we had the right sizes.
