Born in the heart of Naples, but now calling the northern beauty of Brescia home, I am a travel enthusiast on a mission to share the wonders of Italy with other explorers.

From Madrid and Tenerife's sun-drenched streets to Benidorm's lively shores, I have lived, worked, and explored some of Spain's most vibrant destinations.

"One of my most memorable travel moments was during a family trip to Capri. As we entered the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto), I was overcome with emotion. The waterā€™s vibrant blue, glowing under the sunlight, was so surreal that I couldnā€™t help but cry. It was a breathtaking moment of pure wonder, reminding me how travel has the power to move you and create unforgettable memories."

We had a good time in Italy...went to Naples and then Sorrento. Right ifd the bat oue flighr was cancelled and we were diverted to another flight. Becauae if this change the agents canvelled our private airpoet transfer, so we had to spend 70 euro to get a very sketchy ride in a taxi. Knowing what we know now, we would not go back to Naples. Our hotel was nice but in a very bad area. It was dirty and crime ridden, lots of pickpockets. I feel ike we should have been prewarned about this. We... Read more

We enjoyed our Pompeii visit with a private guide, and Maria was great, but it was advertised as a 3 hour tour and we only spent an hour and a half there. Also, we ate at a restaurant in Pompeii that made my husband very sick.
Sorrento was great but we missed both of the boat days due to my husband's food poisoning. On our final day the transport service was supposed to pick us up at 9 to go to the airport but he didn't arrive until 9:45. He then drove like a maniac to the airport, which was terrifying.
All in all, I'm not sure if I would book again with this service. I didnt appreciate having to pay for a taxi because our flight number changed. I also didn't appreciate our tour being cut so short. I think we should have been warned more about the dangers of Naples as well. Our last day was very stressful due to the late start to the airport and the scary driving experience.

To help mitigate the impact of unforeseen travel changes, we recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes coverage for flight delays or cancellations in this way, unexpected out of pocket expenses are covered due to the disruption.
Regarding your stay in Naples, I understand that your perception of the area differed from what you expected. The hotel you stayed in is one that our travelers typically find comfortable and convenient, and we have not received safety concerns from any previous guests. That said, I recognize how personal comfort and perception can vary. We always suggest staying aware of surroundings and using main streets after dark ā€” just as one would in any major European city. Naples is a vibrant city rich in history and culture, and our recommended hotels are carefully selected with both convenience and security in mind.

Regarding the Pompeii experience, the total duration of approximately three hours includes both the guided portion and the scheduled lunch break, so timing may vary slightly depending on the groupā€™s pace. Iā€™m very sorry to hear that your husband felt unwell after lunch. Although we have not received similar reports about this restaurant, I understand how unpleasant that must have been. Even though the situation was outside our control, we took steps to assist you ā€” including arranging refunds where possible, as well as we rescheduled your cooking class free of charge on the previous days.
Finally, thank you for noting your experience with the airport transfer driver. I have shared your feedback with the transport company to ensure that this does not happen in the future.

My family and I had a wonderful time in Italy thanks to kimkim and our travel specialist, Manuela. This was our third time using kimkim for a vacation and, as before, everything went swimmingly. Manuela was incredibly helpful in curating an itinerary for us based on our schedule and preferences. She was prompt with her communication and insightful with her recommendations. Our itinerary including stays in Rome, Florence, Venice and Amalfi, with travel via train between regions.

In Rome, our local guides, Giulia and Valentina, were terrific for our visits to the ancient Roman Forum and Vatican. They also provided great insight into other local, off the beaten path, places to visit. Manuela helped us pick an ideal hotel location that was walking distance to most of the main attractions.

Later, we had a splendid time in Florence, and our local guide Paola was amazing. She offered us a rich history of the city as we walked around explored the sights. Manuela also helped us with planning a daytime road trip to Siena and Montergionni. Our driver for the day, Marco, was very accommodating given that we were traveling with a toddler, and provided us ample time to explore the Tuscan countryside.

We did a short stay in Venice, which was a very charming experience. Our local guide gave us a wonderful tour of St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's palace.

After a long train ride to Naples, we stayed in Sorrento for our Amalfi experience. Which, as per Manuela's accurate advice, is definitely more family friendly than the smaller locales. Here, Manuela arranged a driving tour of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. All locations were superb, and our driver was terrific.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Italy, and Manuela and her colleagues were instrumental in helping us with our experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend their services to those looking to book a trip to Italy.

Any questions we had were answered promptly. There were many logistics to plan out with our itinerary and every single one happened without an issue. The only recommendation we have is to include the name of the company for any of the excursion to make finding who we need to meet easier. Oftentimes there were multiple tour companies at the same meeting spot and the same time and when we didnā€™t have a name of the guide, it wouldā€™ve been helpful to know the name of the company to ask around. Thank you so much, Manuela and the kimkim team for making our 5 year anniversary a trip of a lifetime.

Very safe and clean with ample space in the rooms. Bed was very soft. Really appreciate the surprise of a free upgrade of the room. Bathroom was top notch. Only negative was the key card entry didnā€™t work so we had to use a standard key to unlock the door but still needed the key card for the lights. Plus we had to bring the key to the front desk everyday so they could clean the room and then pick it up from them again.

Such a cute and intentional B&B. Breakfast was phenomenal. Would not recommend for someone without a car but wanting to explore Cinque Terre as itā€™s not in a convenient location to get to the train station. However, they are kind enough to offer bikes if desired. Unfortunately going through a travel agent was a downfall as we found out when we were there that there is helpful information they typically provide to their guests (transportation from the train station at arrival, reservations at highly sought after restaurants, etc.) that was not passed along to us.

all but one of the guides were excellent, with the best guide in Malaga and the weakest in Granada
only issue was car service at Madrid airport and inability to contact driver

We had an amazing time and reccommend this itinerary to anyone looking for a trip that is equal parts adventure and relaxation!

We really enjoyed the trip. All the hotels were lovely and quite nice for our family. The locations in the cities were central and we had no trouble getting around. Parking is a bit tough in spain for a "big" car and quite pricey sometimes.
The car we had was limit in trunk size (BMW X2 coupe with 4 medium luggage). We managed to fit everything with a bit of a puzzle. The guides in Barcelona were great. We really enjoyed the cooking class (paella). The city tour in Bilbao was... Read more

The Andorra hotel was great but a bit out of the way. It was very calm. We went to Ordino Arcalis for a hike and it was spectacular. We also took the train to Vall de Nuria which was also memorable.

The airport transfers were awesome. The hotel was ok. It was one block off a major avenue near a hospital. So, we heard sirens day and night. Paid extra for a balcony and rooftop bar. Being one block off major streets, we were surrounded by taller buildings blocking all views from balcony and roof top bar. No one ever used the rooftop bar in the evenings. Also, no severs were visible to order drinks from, ie useless. Never used! The rooftop bar area was used for breakfast area which was ok.... Read more

The airport transfers were awesome. The hotel was ok. It was one block off a major avenue near a hospital. So, we heard sirens day and night. Paid extra for a balcony and rooftop bar. Also, no severs were visible to order drinks from, ie useless. Never used! The rooftop bar area was used for breakfast area which was ok. However, breakfast buffet was the same exact food every single morning. No variety or other options given.
The scheduled tours were provided by Liv Tours. All the guides and drivers were excellent and went above and beyond. One guide Ribal who was amazing, remembered us from our tour with him and came over to say Ā«Ā HiĀ Ā» the following day when we were with another guide from Liv Tours. He (Lou name?) was also great and at the end of our Collosseum tour with him , he summed up our time perfectly Ā“It was like spending time with family!ā€™
Our Day Trip to Pompeii and Positano was a delight. We were impressed by our guideā€™s knowledge of Pompeii and could tell she really enjoyed sharing her knowledge and experience with us. We were disappointed kimkim could not book us and advised us against a long day trip by van to Florence & Pisa. I personally donā€™t like the opaque pricing but I understand itā€™s typical of travel agencies.

It is a nice boutique hotel. I would not say it was 5 stars but charge as one. It is located in a central location. Everything is walkable. However, the hotel has no views from balcony or rooftops bar. No one ever used rooftop bar as it had no servers. The breakfast buffet was identical every day. Staff was excellent! We had room serviced every day and turn down service too. Close to a hospital so sirens noise 24/7.
