Mojca Peterka
I was born in a small town in the middle of Slovenia. Luckily, being located right in the middle of Europe, our culture and history were influenced by many countries. I always had great interest in reading about foreign countries, until I was old enough to go and finally explore the world on my own. It was in early years that I knew that I wanted to work in tourism and make sure to bring the wonderful feelings I was experiencing also to my future clients. Today, I am co-owner and tour organizer in our agency since 2006 and I am grateful that I followed my passion.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I specialize in sightseeing tours combined with special experiences. My main goal is always to listen to clients' wishes, and not only wishes, I also want to get to know their life style, their interests and everyday life. A good travel agent can deduct a lot about the clients, simply by talking with them about everyday stuff. This way we can suggest and plan for activities that clients often don't know that they would like, but at the end they end up enjoying them very much. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"Since I've started studying tourism I knew that I wanted to plan trips in our part of the world. After years of travelling, experiencing new activities and getting to know the people who were willing to share their knowledge and stories, it was only natural that I jumped at the first opportunity and decided to open a tour operator agency with my friend Tomaz, with whom we've known since our studying years. It took a great deal of work and exploring, but we are proud that today we can offer such a high-quality service for all of our clients. Their encouraging words and words of gratitude are what drives us forward. Still, every single trip I plan, I plan with the same enthusiasm as at the start and I think this is worth a lot!"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I really love Carriage ride in winter time to gorgeous lake Lauenen in Switzerland. By the lake you get served cheese fondue, typical Swiss dish in romantic hut. The sparkles from ice crystals which reflect in the moonlight are simply magical. It is a scenery that no photo can capture, you have to experience it!"
