Sebastian Prino

Hi,
My name is Sebastian, a travel agent specializing in France, with a particular focus on outdoor and gastronomic activities. I believe that traveling should be more than just visiting popular tourist destinations; it should be an immersive journey that connects people with the heart and soul of a place. I take pride in crafting itineraries that combine the breathtaking landscapes of France with its rich culinary traditions, ensuring that each trip is a unique and delicious adventure. Whether it's exploring the vineyards of Bordeaux, hiking in the picturesque Alps, or savoring the finest French cuisine in charming bistros, I'm dedicated to creating tailor-made journeys that leave a lasting impression.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in crafting travel experiences primarily within France.

My expertise extends to the entire country, thanks to my extensive travels throughout its diverse regions. While living in Marseille, I am particularly well-equipped to organize tailor-made trips in the beautiful South of France, which allows me to create unique and personalized itineraries that showcase the culture, landscapes, and hidden gems of the region.

Whether it's the enchanting Provence, the glamorous French Riviera, or the picturesque countryside of the Dordogne, I can design trips that cater to a wide range of interests and preferences.

My aim is to provide the best activities and itineraries for everyone, ensuring that each journey in France is an unforgettable experience."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I was sparked by a life-changing experience. At the age of 20, I embarked on a two-month journey across Europe, and during that trip, I fell in love with the world. The diverse cultures, the rich history, and the breathtaking landscapes I encountered ignited a deep fascination with exploring the globe and it hidden treasures.

This profound connection to travel inspired me to pursue it as a career. After my journey, I decided to formalize my knowledge and commitment to the industry. I enrolled in a program to study tourism, and I dedicated myself to learning the ins and outs of the field. Ultimately, I earned a diploma as both a tour guide and a technical specialist in tourism.

My education and passion have come together to create a career that allows me to share my love for travel with others. I now work as a travel agent, helping people discover France's gems by connecting my clients to great and special experiences led by local people willing to share their culture and secrets.

Travel is not just a job for me; it's a lifelong passion that I'm fortunate to turn into a profession."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One travel experience I'll never forget is a month-long road trip through Spain with my parents in 2013.
We began our journey by renting a car in Barcelona, and from there, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure. The road led us to some of Spain's most captivating cities, including Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, and Salamanca. Along the way, we explored the rich history and diverse cultures of each place.

From the grandeur of Madrid's royal palace to the mesmerizing beauty of the Alhambra in Granada, the trip was a blend of history, architecture, and culinary delights. What made it truly special was the quality time spent with my parents, sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories.

This road trip remains etched in my heart as an extraordinary and cherished travel experience."

From the moment we first contacted KimKim we knew we were in excellent hands. Our trip to France was not just a vacation—it was a beautifully curated experience that exceeded all expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully planned by Sebastian, from luxurious accommodations in Paris to a breathtaking countryside escape to Amboise in the Loire Valley.

What truly set this trip apart was Sebastian’s deep knowledge of France and attention to the little things: charming boutique hotels with local flair, seamless transportation between cities, and insider experiences we never would’ve found on our own. Wine tastings at family-run vineyards, a Seine river cruise at sunset, & many tours of beautiful chateaus were just a few highlights that made this trip unforgettable.

Communication throughout was flawless. We had a personalized itinerary, 24/7 support if needed and thoughtful touches along the way.

Thanks to the KimKim team, we didn’t just see France—we felt it. The romance of Paris, the charm of the countryside, and the rich history around every corner came to life through carefully crafted experiences.

If you’re considering a trip to France, do yourself a favor and let KimKim take the reins. This was a once-in-a-lifetime journey made effortless and extraordinary by someone who truly cares about their clients and their craft.

Merci beaucoup for everything!

All of the transportation arranged went perfectly (trains, private transfers) and the hotels chosen by Sebastian were perfect! All of the guides that we had for our tours were excellent, but there were a few who truly stood out. Emma who was our guide for a D-Day Tour in Normandy, she was wonderful. And Sophie who was our guide for a WWII tour in Paris..she was outstanding!! We will be requesting her if possible for future trips to Paris. The trip exceeded our expectations and we really fell in love with France. Thank you for making it happen!

I loved Reims. It is a beautiful city. The history of the place is awesome. Loved touring the city with Christine as she told the story of the city under Roman rule, to the birth of the France, the devastation of WWI and the rebuilding of the city.

Strasbourg is just so charming. It is an old city with buildings that date back to 1500's and beyond. The cathedral is so impressive. Loved the Alsace village tour with Penelope. She was fun and knowledgeable about all things Alsace.

My city/cathedral tour with Christine was superb. We started with the building where the WWII surrender was signed and then onto the Mars gate, winding our way to the cathedral. Notre Dame in Reims was fantastic. I know that it was the place were virtually every French king was crowned. So much history, as Clovis was the bridge from the Roman Empire to a recognized French empire. It was nice to see that Reims Cathedral did not suffer the indignities of the French Revolution, that had to wait for WWI. Glad there were American philanthropists that decided Reims was worth rebuilding.

I chose this hotel because it had a lift. The lift was out of order. Our suite was on the 2nd floor, but it’s 4 flights up. This was tough on my knee and my ankle. Hotel staff was kind enough to hold our luggage and deliver it to our room for an early check in. But upon departure at 7am, we had to take our 4 large heavy pieces of luggage down the stairs ourselves.

Authenticity & Character
We had the suite - very modern and dark. Black tile everywhere, black glass dividing walls made the room very dark. Shower with no door makes for a wet experience. No good lighting over vanity. The make up mirrors didn’t work - they had a usb port but couldn’t make it work. Hair dryer was tough to use as you have to press the handle with your palm to make it work. Not easy for long, thick hair. 2 windows let in some light, but overall very dark & modern. There is a step up to the vanity shower area. I almost slipped on the wet floor from the shower.

Sebastian expertly curated an incredible itinerary: we explored stunning chateaus, had insightful city tours with locals, wandered through charming towns, learned to bake classic french pastries, and so much more. The kimkim process made arranging this easy: we had a live chat, and could drop questions into it and have answers within hours. In fact, Kimkim had provided the second revision of our proposed itinerary before the other travel company we had contacted even answered our first email. The speed and clarity was unmatched! Unfortunately we had some last-minute disruptions to our vacation plans due to work conflicts, requiring a complete shift in our vacation dates. The kimkim team handled it easily, and was able to rebook our vacation on the new dates with minimal changes. They’re real pros: everything was conveniently arranged for us, we just had to show up. However, we were not “on our own” once we got there: Sebastian and his colleagues were easily within reach on whatsapp, there to help us navigate our trip and answer any questions we had. Some would call this a trip of a lifetime, but it was so good I hope we can do something like it again!

It means a lot to know that you felt supported throughout the trip, both during the planning phase and while you were here. That’s exactly the experience we aim to deliver—easy, seamless, and memorable.

I really hope we get to work together again in the future
maybe for a new region or a different season? 😉

Wishing you both all the best until then!

Warm regards,
Sebastian

We enjoyed our time in Paris, Lyon, and southern France, however we had a few issues with our trip planning. Our "food tours" were definitely not what we considered to be a food tour. In our Lyon experience, we had 3 sad pieces of sausage and 1 small piece of cheese after a 3 hour historical tour. That was it. We were starving and had to purchase several other snacks along the way on our own. The food tour in Marseille was just sweets and no actual savory dishes representative of the area... Read more

In our Lyon experience, we had 3 sad pieces of sausage and 1 small piece of cheese after a 3 hour historical tour. That was it. We were starving and had to purchase several other snacks along the way on our own. The food tour in Marseille was just sweets and no actual savory dishes representative of the area (which is what we typically associate with a food tour. Also, our bike tour in Aix-en-Provence was not properly booked, the guide was unaware that we were coming and but thankfully he was able to add us on to another group later that morning. It was not a private bike tour as we had originally booked.

The highlight of the trip was our 2 days of wine tasting with Eric in the ChĂąteauneuf-du-Pape/ Gigondas and Bandol/Cassis areas.

Before the trip we had emphasized to our trip planner that we wanted to focus on a culinary/wine tour of France. We were disappointed in the culinary planning part of the trip for sure!

Hi Anil, how are you?

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—I truly appreciate your honesty.

I’m really glad to hear that you enjoyed your time in Paris, Lyon, and southern France, and especially that the two days of wine tasting with Eric stood out as a highlight. He’s a fantastic guide, and I’m happy those experiences met your expectations.

That said, I’m very sorry to hear that several parts of the trip—particularly the culinary experiences—didn’t align with what you were hoping for.

As for the mix-up with the bike tour in Aix-en-Provence—I sincerely apologize for the confusion and for the tour not being private as originally booked. I'm grateful to the guide for making it work, but you were right to expect a smoother experience from the start.

Thank you again for sharing both the positives and the areas where we need to improve.
Warm regards,
Sebastian

I enjoyed the trip. I can’t remember the names of the guides but they were all very knowledgeable for the walking tours. A memorable trip for my first visit to France. I especially enjoyed the custom perfume making.

A better more specific description for the Frenc fashion I was anticipating sometime of Actual fashion show or demonstration on how to wear certain items like accessories and design schools or methods. The walking tour did not include much fashion which is one of my interest since I lived to elsewhere and create Designs.
