Sebastian Prino

Hi,
My name is Sebastian, a travel agent specializing in France, with a particular focus on outdoor and gastronomic activities. I believe that traveling should be more than just visiting popular tourist destinations; it should be an immersive journey that connects people with the heart and soul of a place. I take pride in crafting itineraries that combine the breathtaking landscapes of France with its rich culinary traditions, ensuring that each trip is a unique and delicious adventure. Whether it's exploring the vineyards of Bordeaux, hiking in the picturesque Alps, or savoring the finest French cuisine in charming bistros, I'm dedicated to creating tailor-made journeys that leave a lasting impression.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in crafting travel experiences primarily within France.

My expertise extends to the entire country, thanks to my extensive travels throughout its diverse regions. While living in Marseille, I am particularly well-equipped to organize tailor-made trips in the beautiful South of France, which allows me to create unique and personalized itineraries that showcase the culture, landscapes, and hidden gems of the region.

Whether it's the enchanting Provence, the glamorous French Riviera, or the picturesque countryside of the Dordogne, I can design trips that cater to a wide range of interests and preferences.

My aim is to provide the best activities and itineraries for everyone, ensuring that each journey in France is an unforgettable experience."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I was sparked by a life-changing experience. At the age of 20, I embarked on a two-month journey across Europe, and during that trip, I fell in love with the world. The diverse cultures, the rich history, and the breathtaking landscapes I encountered ignited a deep fascination with exploring the globe and it hidden treasures.

This profound connection to travel inspired me to pursue it as a career. After my journey, I decided to formalize my knowledge and commitment to the industry. I enrolled in a program to study tourism, and I dedicated myself to learning the ins and outs of the field. Ultimately, I earned a diploma as both a tour guide and a technical specialist in tourism.

My education and passion have come together to create a career that allows me to share my love for travel with others. I now work as a travel agent, helping people discover France's gems by connecting my clients to great and special experiences led by local people willing to share their culture and secrets.

Travel is not just a job for me; it's a lifelong passion that I'm fortunate to turn into a profession."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One travel experience I'll never forget is a month-long road trip through Spain with my parents in 2013.
We began our journey by renting a car in Barcelona, and from there, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure. The road led us to some of Spain's most captivating cities, including Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, and Salamanca. Along the way, we explored the rich history and diverse cultures of each place.

From the grandeur of Madrid's royal palace to the mesmerizing beauty of the Alhambra in Granada, the trip was a blend of history, architecture, and culinary delights. What made it truly special was the quality time spent with my parents, sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories.

This road trip remains etched in my heart as an extraordinary and cherished travel experience."

The 'Unusual Day in Champagne' tour was my favorite activity. We were picked up from our B&B in a little Renault van by a local guide who was very knowledgeable and friendly, making me feel like I was out with a friend. We visited two very different wineries, enjoyed a well-done picnic outside one of them, and experienced a smaller, more intimate champagne house. The guide's deep knowledge and willingness to answer all our questions made the day really special and memorable.

Our favorites were a wonderful Patisserie cooking class with Chef Mattieu, an amazing private tour of the Marais with Livia and a very special trip to the charming town of Amboise to see the Chateau de Clos-Lucé (home of Leonardo da Vinci) and a great visit to Chenonceau & lunch at a chateau cooked by the Countess. On that tour, our guide Alexane, was so engaging and full of fascinating facts. All of the private transfers went off without a hitch! We could never have planned such a great trip on our own. Sebastian listened to what we were interested in seeing and was responsive to our feedback. We would definitely use Kim Kim again.

Charming hotel in the lively and interesting area of Montmartre. Our room was small but clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was super helpful and nice. And, the breakfast was an amazing with a delicious selection of patisserie and hot and cold items. There isn't a lot of closet/hook space for three people, but we were fine and the staff and service made up for it. The plus is that it's in a very cool area with numerous cafes and tiny shops. The minus is that it's a bit far from the center of the city with most of the museums and attractions. We enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous. Wish we could have stayed for the entire tour, but we had to leave after lunch to catch our train back to Paris. Our guide Alexane was phenomenal. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and had all sorts of stories and history. She really engaged our granddaughter as well as the adults. The Chateaus and gardens were amazing. We really enjoyed our special lunch at Villesavin Castle. Highly recommend this experience. Thanks to Sebastian, we were able to get through at least 2/3 of it and he arranged a private driver to take us to the hotel and the train that made it possible.

Long trip in and out of town, but worth seeing. Our driver, Gabriel, was a charming young man, but unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to guide us inside the grounds as he had planned. He didn't have the proper credentials. The Palace was quite full of visitors. The audio guide was a bit perplexing to use, but we got the hang of it. Very fun. Our driver, Niko, took us not just in Montmartre, but he took us by other things that we had not yet seen like the Moulin Rouge, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Pantheon. He also stopped the car and took a sweet photo of us popped up through the top of the car with the Eiffel Tower in the background. We thought that the "tour" would have a set agenda, but he wanted us to tell him what we wanted to see and we weren't quite prepared for that. He ended in Saint-Germain-des-Prés at a restaurant that he recommended and we had dinner there, but we had to find our way by taxi back to the hotel afterward. It was fun buzzing around and taking photos through the top of the car.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the warm welcome from the team, the comfort of your room, and the breakfast selection. Montmartre is indeed a vibrant neighborhood, full of cafés, local boutiques, and a unique atmosphere that many travelers love.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding the storage space in the room. It's helpful for future guests, especially those traveling as a group. Also, meet up with our guide for Luve tour was a miss and could’ve been improved. Another tour-guide saved the day and got on the phone to help us get to proper location.

We did not get to tour the steps up to Notre Dame towers, this could’ve been arranged if we had been more informed of our options.

Hi Prab,

Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback.

We are glad to hear that the trip overall went well and that the drivers met your expectations in terms of punctuality and professionalism.

We are, however, very sorry to read about your experience with one of the guides. The situation you describe in the metro, especially with your son being left behind, is not acceptable and should never happen. This clearly reflects a lack of anticipation and group management, and we fully understand how stressful this must have been.

We take this feedback very seriously and will address it directly with the guide concerned to ensure this does not happen again. Proper coordination, clear communication, and ensuring the safety and cohesion of the group at all times are essential standards we expect.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention — it helps us improve our operations on the ground.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss this further.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed feedback. It’s very helpful for us on the ground.

We’re really glad to hear how much you enjoyed the bike ride in Aix, the hike in Antibes, and especially your guides — we’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to them. It means a lot. Great as well to know the Nice food tour stood out so strongly, and that you had a good overall experience with the hotels.

The winery experience: your feedback is very clear. Early-season operations can sometimes impact the overall atmosphere, and we’ll review this partner and the timing to ensure a better fit in the future.

We’re very happy you enjoyed both the Nice and Menton festivities overall — they are quite unique moments of the season.

Thanks again for your trust and your thoughtful feedback. It helps us continuously adjust and stay very close to the reality on the ground.

Warm regards,
Sebastian

All of our excursions and guides were amazing. The hotels were well situated for the sites we were seeing. Having all the train tickets booked in advance was fantastic and their timings were great. The only negative on our trip was the night hotel staff at the Aragon hotel in Carcassonne. During our tour of the walled city we noticed that only a couple of stores / cafes were actually open even though the internet listed large numbers of restaurants as open. For this reason we asked the lady at the hotel reception desk if she could assist in calling some nearby restaurants to see if any were actually open for dinner. The lady declined to assist and said you’ll just need to go by yourself to see if they are open. Without phone service or transportation we couldn’t easily get to these places to see if they were actually open. This level of customer service sucks. Hotels being booked though Kim Kim should be prepared to assist travelers staying with them and have a list of open restaurants or make calls to verify if a place is actually open for dinner.

Hotel was clean but night desk person was not helpful. She would not assist us in calling some restaurants to see if they were actually open given it was the off season. Instead she said you’ll need to go to them to see if they are open. The internet showed all restaurants as open but in reality very few actually were. Without phone service or transportation it was not possible to just go by places to see if they were open. In all of my travels this is the only hotel that I’ve been to where they wouldn’t assist us in finding a place to eat. Poor customer service!

Hi Glenn,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the excursions, the guides, the hotel locations, and the train logistics. We know how important smooth connections and well-timed travel are, and we are glad this part of the trip worked well for you.

We are, however, very sorry to read about your experience with the night staff at the Aragon hotel in Carcassonne. We fully understand how frustrating this situation must have been, especially after discovering that many restaurants listed online were in fact closed. Your request for assistance was reasonable, and the response you received clearly did not meet the level of care we expect from our accommodation partners.

We take this feedback seriously and will address it directly with the hotel, including the need for better on-site support in the evenings and clearer, up-to-date local dining information. In historic towns like Carcassonne, opening days and hours can vary significantly depending on the season, and local guidance is often essential.

Thank you again for your trust and for highlighting this point so we can improve future experiences for our travellers.

Cheers,
Sebastian
