John at the airport was great. It would be great to have had an email detailing specifics with the local excursions, ie food tour, how long it would last, that there was a full meal at the end, etc for planning sake. It felt more like we were told day before/day of where to meet. We canx our catamaran tour as we didn't know it would last 8 hours. Basically more details earlier would have been great. Read more

Great pool, rooms are very small, bathroom shower is very old and sub-par. Buffet was good, lots of choices for food. Good location to walk into town and there is a beach club where you can rent sunbeds.

I also truly appreciate your comments regarding the communication around the activities. I completely understand that having all the practical details easily available well in advance can make planning each day feel much more comfortable.

I would just like to clarify that the trip plan shared with you from the initial planning stage, and before the trip was booked, included the descriptions and duration of the activities, including that the catamaran experience was a full-day excursion. The final operational information, such as exact meeting points and times, is normally reconfirmed closer to each activity, but I understand from your feedback that having these details highlighted again earlier would have been helpful. This is something we can certainly take into consideration for future travelers.

I’m also sorry to hear that the room and bathroom at Galaxy Hotel did not fully meet your expectations. At the time of booking, the hotel was selected as the best match among the available options based on the agreed budget, location, availability, and overall facilities. I’m glad that you nevertheless enjoyed its pool, breakfast, and convenient location close to both the town and the beach.

Bill made the drive to Elafonisi beach an absolute highlight of our trip - so much care and comfort went into making sure we had a good time and the conversation along the way was a once in a lifetime, that is probably the most standout day among many stand out days. Kimkim rolled with some last minute schedule additions, some forgotten items at a hotel earlier in our trip, and they literally had our needs addressed before we even realized what we were going to need. We are at the stage in our lives that organizing a trip like this independently would add more tension and more stress during our vacation, having to navigate the tiny ancient streets and windy mountain and costal roads would have made the trip a point of contention and stress for us. Knowing that we had assistance when we needed it and safe and thoughtful tour groups and drivers was such a gift.

I worked with Penny initially to coordinate the trip and she was absolutely wonderful. The week before we were to leave, I wrote to Penny to set up a call only to learn she had left the company. This was quite unsettling to me. Penny told me she personally would pick us up at Athens airport when we arrived and help get us settled at our hotel. I am an older woman and was with my 12 year old granddaughter (who is very tall and appears to look 17-18 years old). I suffer from a serious medical condition causes me to lose consciousness under certain circumstances.

First day we were picked up a hotel for a “walking tour” in Athens, The driver dropped us off on a corner, told us to go under the street and meet somewhere for group. Very unclear where to go. The What’s App only worked with WiFi connection that we did not have. It took us several minutes to connect with anyone, and finally met up with the group. The tour guide walked extremely fast and combined with extended periods of just standing was more than I could do. I had to stop and sit down. We gave back the devices and went on our own after that point. It was not a pleasant experience at all and very confusing as to where to be and when.

The day continued with several issues including the curtain holder in our hotel room falling off the window on my head. Jet lag did not help us at all either.

I cannot say enough good things about KimKim and our team at Be A Greek for our recent trip! I have been raving about my experience to anyone who will listen, seriously. We were heading to Greece for a wedding, we had flights and the wedding, and a big dream of building an unforgettable trip around it. This was my first time using KimKim, but i saw the company mentioned in the mags and newspapers i trust (can’t recall if it was NYT and Travel and Leisure, but most likely). The process of getting started was so easy, and within hours I was connected with Marianna at Be A Greek. Ok, the coolest thing about this KimKim process was the access to local experts. She listed to what we wanted, and was so patient with my sometimes inconsistent time to be able to plan. She did it all. She really listened. I wanted to stay away from big groups, no crazy instagram only spots. We wanted history, activity, food, we wanted to be immersed, but also luxurious and romantic. She nailed it. She booked a great semi-private tour guide at Naxos Cultural Tours, she found a private guide who was just as passionate about history and mythology as I am for Delphi, and a delightfully hilarious private guide for the Acropolis. Lovely hotels. And DAILY communication from the KimKim team with reminders about our itinerary for the next day, times, pdf copies our flights or boats, every detail was seen to. For example, when we landed in Athens we had a few hours to kill at the airport before our connecting flight to Naxos. Marianna had a delightful guide meet us at the airport, and Bianca told us stories, took us for coffee, and helped ease us into Greek life all in a layover. That little detail was incredible. I will 100% be using KimKim again, and highly recommend you do too!! Epharisto to Marianna and the KimKim team!

We loved every single moment in Greece and hope to return to visit more islands.
We loved all of our transfer drivers, especially Tony! He was hands down our favorite driver!!! Michael, who lead our biblical tour, In the Footsteps of St. Paul was fabulous as well.
Overall, the private boat trips were our favorite days, although the weather for our Mama Mia Tour kept us from seeing some of our destinations like the chapel.

Really appreciated how Theo customized the tour to what we wanted to see.

The only thing I would comment pn is that we decided to eat dinner at the wine tasting and it felt like they forgot about us and part of the wine tasting when we got our food.

We had a wonderful experience with Marianna and the whole team! From figuring out what kind of trip we were looking to plan and shifting around our original itinerary to making sure every detail was handled flawlessly, Marianna was available to guide us every step of the way. We had a wonderful experience with Marianna and the whole team! From figuring out what kind of trip we were looking to plan and shifting around our original itinerary to making sure every detail was handled flawlessly, Marianna was available to guide us every step of the way. She planned an amazing itinerary and all of the details (transfers/inner island flights/ferry tickets) were super organized. While we were in Greece the team was very responsive and the WhatsApp thread was super helpful in making sure we knew what was next and we never felt we needed to stress about anything! We did an amazing bike tour and cooking class on Naxos with Aurelia Bikes and it was our family’s favorite excursion but here were so many good ones to choose from. ATVs on Santorini and a boat tour allowed us to see much of the island. Excursions were all different and spaced so that we still had free time to explore on our own. The guided tours in Athens and Naxos were amazing as well. Overall we are so happy with the itinerary and the entire trip. Thank you so much for making our vacation so memorable and easy!
