In general, the communication during planning and booking was less thorough than other KimKim trips we've done in the past to other destinations. Details were sometimes confusing, requiring a back-and-forth, and the initial itemized booking confirmations were missing details we had to ask for. In general, the communication during planning and booking was less thorough than other KimKim trips we've done in the past to other destinations. Details were sometimes confusing, requiring a back-and-forth, and the initial itemized booking confirmations were missing details we had to ask for. That said, the plans themselves were wonderful, and we had a great trip! Our guides were thorough and patient with moving at the speed of our kids. The accommodations were great (even though we did not get our original first choice of jungle lodgings). There was a last-minute change and some confusion regarding our guide at Machu Picchu. It worked out fine, but there was no proactive phone communication from our specialist or guide, so we were confused for a little while during a moment of transfer with long lines.

Again, though, it was an excellent trip. Highlights: river rafting, La Casona de Yucay, Tambopata National Reserve.
