Robi was exceptional. Robi is a local guide who has been professionally dedicated to guiding in Croatia for many years. It is usual to get someone this knowledgable in everything about a country who is the 'cycling' guide. His attitude was also one of being extremely flexible, and checking in with us on anything we wanted to modify, right up to 'in the moment' changes. He did an excellent job of ensuring the three sets of tandem bikes we had in our group were well secured in his bike trailer. Thank-you Robi.
In terms of Croatia, as people who have cycled in 20++ countries over the last several decades, Croatia is a 'jewel' in terms of the scenery, the food, the 'old' towns themselves, and the people of Croatia. Far exceeded our expectations.
We also found the functionality of the Kimkim application easy to manoeuvre within, and when we had to reach out directly to Kimkim regarding COVID, the people were 'client first' oriented; which was a great relief (our trip was delayed twice as it was originally scheduled for the time when COVID -19 was declared a pandemic- early spring 2019).

The rooms are all very new, with everything working well, as one would expect in a high end accommodation.
Location in the old town is excellent. The staff was excellent. No elevator so you need to be comfortable with stairs. Overall they have done an excellent job with this location.
The General Manager was excellent, but the remainder of the experience was average. The AC in the building did not work for instance, and it was 'stuck' in beaurocratic decision making to get it going. It is a large hotel, and perhaps best suited for large bus groups rather than more discerning smaller groups. Or perhaps they will iron out the current operations to have a better overall experience (hotel just reopened from a 2 year renovation).
The staff and location and ambience were all excellent. The only thing holding this hotel back from amazing is the quality of the bed mattresses. Any easy thing to remedy.
The hotel rooms are 'tired' in terms of the quality of the beds, and the air-conditioning is 'musty'. The location is excellent, and the staff was all great we well. but the room quality did not meet our expectations in terms of beds and AC.
This is a v very 'interesting' place to stay. The owner manager is very dedicated to 'food', growing almost everything we ate at dinner, and having been a professional chef for 20+ years before rerunning to HVAR to open this hotel. And he is happy to share his knowledge and showcase his garden. It was hard to fathom that so much land was dedicated ti gardening in the old town, rather than letting it be redeveloped for tourism. Bravo to the owner. This will work well for people who want to engage with the owners, who are interested in food and organic vegetable gardening. Th balconies have a amazing few of the harbour and sea as well.
