Ms. Trang was super amazing and understanding of the time differences and intricacies of international travel--17h time difference from Hawaii. She booked our itinerary from landing in Hanoi to departure from Hanoi, and accommodated all of our travel needs, including issues that I wasn't even aware of. She didn't make assumptions and instead asked us what we were interested in doing, while guiding me and making suggestions based on information I had shared with her of our travel preferences and accounted for travel time in order to maximize our first trip to Viet Nam. She booked us on 2 private tours in Hanoi, including a Russian jeep tour and local attraction tour. She even paid extra to expedite my husband's Viet Nam visa when she realized it had been delayed and was able to get it for him the night before we left for our flight. She also found me a seamstress who sewed my 2 custom-made suits, advocated for my husband and me to get an upgraded hotel room with windows, and reserved upgraded seats on our flight from Hanoi back to Tokyo. She also recommended Stellar of the Seas cruise in Halong Bay and booked a 4-day, 3-night cruise for us which was a perfect duration for us. It was unexpectedly easy and efficient to communicate through the KimKim app and Ms. Trang was very patient with me. She is the epitome of customer service and I will definitely use KimKim travel agency for my future international travel.
Ms. Trang had book Duc and a driver to pick us up at Hanoi airport while Duc gave us an introduction to the city . Our Hanoi City tours were with Ben and a driver, as well as Gracie and a driver. We all communicated via Whatsapp which was extremely helpful given the language differences. They all went out of the way to help us make restaurant recommendations and suggestions for local activities following the tours. Ms. Trang went above expectations and had carefully choreographed our entire trip to Viet Nam so that we wouldn't get lost and felt welcomed to learn about the country's history and beautiful surroundings.
Hotel Reviews
My husband and I were so impressed with our 4-day 3 night cruise on Stellar of the Seas. The boat was small and intimate instead of some of the large party boats we had passed by on the Stellar. There were approximately 20 guests on our voyage which gave us the opportunity to really get to to know the other travelers and staff working on the boat. The rooms on the boats were new and gorgeous. The staff welcomed us by showering us with rose petals, white glove service, and a private butler. Our butler's name is Boo and he had our bed decorated with rose petals for our anniversary. We were also gifted a delicious cake with sparklers and a bouquet at dinner! It was over-the-top luxury. The off boat excursions were fabulous, including a wooden rowboat trip through grottos with a fisherman and our group were excited to see wild monkeys during that trip. We also enjoyed learning Tai-Chi every morning from Thinh who was the resident tour guide on Stellar of the Seas. We were so glad that we had picked Stellar of the Seas for the opportunities to do kayaking, bicycling through a village, hiking through caves and up a tall mountain, and the rowboat trip. We made some new friends who we hope to keep in touch with after the cruise. And the views of all of the small islands in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay are so serene and beautiful. Stellar of the Seas is the best way to relax and decompress for a special occasion. There were several couples who were returning guests on the cruise!
The front desk staff welcomed us warmly when we checked in; however, we were shocked when we were shown to our room and discovered that there were no windows to the outside, which is not what we expect from the USA. We were told by the manager that they had no more rooms with windows, so Ms. Trang from KimKim Travel called Champton to let them know that she had reserved a hotel room with windows, so the hotel upgraded us to a double-size suite with windows. Thank goodness or else my husband would have had a claustrophobic attack from the room with no windows. Otherwise, the breakfast buffet each morning was sumptuous and the view from the rooftop bar was spectacular. The location was perfect for wandering the streets of Old Hanoi by foot. We checked out too early in the morning on our last day to take advantage of the free breakfast. The hotel staff had prepared a breakfast box for their other guests who had early check-out times, but were delayed in preparing out boxes so we ate at the airport instead. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Champton.
Hi Men-Jean, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. You’ve been such a lovely guest, and it truly made me happy to support you throughout your trip. Wishing you plenty of good health, and I hope to welcome you back to Southeast Asia again someday soon.
Cheers, Trang ❤
