11 Days Exploring Morocco

We spent 11 fantastic days exploring the sights, tastes and sounds of Morocco. Our driver, Tayeb, was super informative and a pleasure to speak with throughout our journey. He was a safe and experienced driver which was very reassuring. Our stays were in Rabat, Chefchauen, Fez, the Sahara, Ait Benhaddou and Marrakech. We enjoyed the variety of landscapes along the way, the hustle of the medinas, and the quiet dunes of the Sahara. Dune buggy and camel riding in the desert were memorable highlights. The Medina and food tasting tour with Abdul in Fez really helped us appreciate the history and culture of the people living and working in the Medina.
Hotel Reviews
Great staff, beautiful courtyard, delicious dinner and breakfast.
A lovely experience in the desert- very well located camp - felt private.
Activity Reviews
Very beautiful and a good introduction to an important mosque.
Once we finally got up in the air, we enjoyed the experience. (We were delayed by fog for two hours.) Our view above the clouds was beautiful, but brief, as we had to descend below the clouds again quickly. It took some time to find a safe place to set down, but floating over Berber villages was quite interesting.
Very interesting! Highly recommended.
Lots of fun! A great way to experience the dunes.
The landscape was beautiful. I wished we had a longer walk through the gorge. It was very pretty but brief.
We enjoyed our self guided tour of Ait Ben Haddou. Ouarzazate was a brief visit for photos. The roses are not in bloom in January so there was not much to see in the Roses Valley.
Our tour guide, Abdul was amazing! He took the time to share the hidden gems within Marrakech and answered our many questions.
We loved the food tour, but arrive hungry! There was so much delicious food to eat along the way - too much really! Pace yourself. We particularly enjoyed learning about the cooking process and sampling the Tangia and Machoui at Chez Lamine - both dishes unique to Marrakesh.
This was a long travel day, and unfortunately, there was a traffic delay which slowed us down. We opted not to have the camel ride on arrival to the desert as it was approaching sunset and getting late.
