Christmas Market Tour!

Very nice hotel in a quieter location, but close to the subway and fairly easy walking distance to the markets. The staff were kind and helpful. There is a nice little coffee shop and bakery less than a block away.

This hotel was nice, and the staff were very kind. It was a good location close to the train station and within easy walking distance to the market. The breakfast was wonderful! The only problem we had was that the hotel was VERY warm inside, and the only option we had to adjust the temperature was to open a window. This made it a challenge to keep the room at a steady and comfortable temperature and there was a lot of activity and street noise at night, which kept us awake sometimes.

This is a newer hotel that is very nice. We appreciated some of their sustainability efforts. The staff were efficient and kind. The bar/restaurant in the hotel was enjoyable; it had seasonal cocktails in the evenings and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The location of this hotel was nice because it was so close to the train station, but it was a little far of a walk to get to the markets and activities in the city center. It might have been nice to be a little closer to the city center.

We loved meeting our guide, Andrea. In addition to taking us to some great places and sharing delicious local food with us, she shared interesting information about the city and pointed out places we could return to on our own during our stay in Munich.

This was one of our favorite Christmas Markets of the entire trip! An amazing violinist was playing when we first arrived, and the music could be heard throughout the market. It really added to the holiday atmosphere and felt so festive!

We frequently participate in cooking classes when we travel, and this was one of the best we have ever participated in. The instructor was fun and clear, and the recipes were easy and delicious. We also appreciated how the class was set up and provided a group lunch at the end; this created opportunities to socialize with the other participants and make new friends! After class, I emailed the school, and they sent me copies of the recipes so I could easily remake them at home!

We didn't really have an emergency, but we had to call for assistance once when we first arrived in Munich. Our flight arrived an hour early, so we waited for our ride, but even after our scheduled arrival time, we didn't see anyone or hear from anyone. So after waiting 90 minutes, I called for help, and she was able to get in touch with the driver and find out he was on his way, just running a bit behind. She was very helpful and got an answer quickly.
