Lucie gave us excellent service in planning a fourteen day trip to Germany. She diligently listened to our choices of destinations and accommodated all of our changes. She was not only quite friendly, competent and knowledgeable, but patient, working with a senior couple.

We had a good trip to Berlin and London. Lucie Dupuis did an excellent and professional job of assisting in the planning for our trip. She provided useful and insightful input and recommendations as our trip plan evolved.
All scheduled tours in Berlin were excellent, in particular the tours by Insight Cities (Romin and Justin are certainly two of the best guides we have experienced over our 20+ years of traveling).
In London, our guide for the Westminster Tour, by LivTours and guide, Charlotte Everett (of Rebel Tours) was also excellent.
Also, of particular note, was the superior and high end transport and chauffeur service provided by Blacklane and Klass Chauffeur.
We look forward to working with KimKim on our future travel adventures.

The difficulty came with my inability to use the KimKim apt and stay connected.Meeting the rides was hard but did not cause problems with the flow of the trip. The planning was hard going thru my daughter Molly.

All of our hotels were wonderfully located. We could walk or hop onto public transportation to visit everything we wanted to see. Our bicycle tour in Berlin (Berlin on Bike) was wonderful! Although we were mostly on our own, every city tour was interesting and worthwhile: Berlin on Bike (thank you Pete), walking tour in Dresden (thank you Leo), walking tour in Breslau (so sorry to have forgotten our guide's name), and walking tour in Krakow (thank you Chris). Each guide offered insights about the city and made sure we were comfortable.

We added Zakopane to our itinerary and enjoyed our time there. Once there, we were surprised to find everything very crowded, including pedestrian streets, hiking trails, and mini buses to various trailheads. We were there on a beautiful fall weekend and it seemed many thousands of local tourists were there as well.

We loved being in every city we toured, but if we had to pick a favorite, it's certainly Krakow!

This is a charming hotel and our room was quite spacious and comfortable, with a large closet, nice bathroom, and desk area. We had specified a west or south facing balcony, hoping to sit it the sun in the late afternoon. We had a covered porch that was shaded and looked out on a parking lot, so although it was a nice space, next time we would be more specific about our intentions. The reception staff, especially Veronica, were helpful. We enjoyed our dinners in the hotel restaurant.

This is a full service hotel with a fabulous location. You can take a tram (#3 or #7) from the train station and be within 2 blocks of the hotel. Once you don't have luggage, it's very easy to take the 5 minute tram ride over the bridge to old town, or walk and take pictures along the way. Our room was comfortable with a table and chairs, and breakfast was just fine.

Bicycling was the perfect way to tour central Berlin. It would have been intimidating to do this on our own in a strange city, but our tour took us on easy-to-navigate streets and included the highlights we wanted to see. It rained at one point and our tour guide had ponchos for everyone!

Our overall trip to Germany was absolutely amazing. We had a one day tour with Thomas to a castle and a palace absolutely incredible. The following day we went to Rothenberg with Antone. Also very good. The hotel was perfect location. Everything handled perfectly.

The entire trip was amazing and everyone I talk to I recommend Kimkim. Prague was great, the driver was excellent, the hotel right in the middle of it all. My brother and I walked around and enjoyed great beer and food, spent a day in Plsen at Paulaner, and saw lots of sights. The train to Salzburg next was great, and we loved the hotel there- and had an unplanned foray into a festival there that we actually attended both nights because it was so much fun (Ruperti Kirtag) and again, lots of amazing local festbiers! Then off to Munich for the grand finale at Oktoberfest. As it turned out there were friends in town who got us into a tent on the first day, but back to the trip plan, Allie and Fat Tire Tours were amazing and we celebrated in the famous Lowenbrau tent with again- amazing food and beer. I highly recommend getting Kimkim to put together an Oktoberfest tour for you!

The Trip was excellent, we had a wonderful time it was well organized.
Here are few specific notes

Oktoberfest Tour, in our itinerary and vouchers the tour was scheduled for 10AM, at the time I reached out to the provider directly the tour started at 10:30 AM. The guides were excellent and we had a great time, there seemed to be confusion on the time the tour started.

Hotel Restaurant Der Engel in Sasbachwalden: Hotel was great, there was some confusion they had us also reserved for dinner in their restaurant both nights, we did not attend dinner there. We thought it worth noting it included breakfast and dinner.

General note some hotels required reservations in advance for parking, it when driving it should be noted which hotels require paid or reserved parking.

Aside for these few notes I would say the trip was really great, we enjoyed all the guided tours and felt we were very well taken care of. We will return to Germany and look forward to our next Kim Kim travel plan in our future travels.

One of my favorite tours was in Prague with Becky with our culinary tour. She was incredibly patient and hospitable with adjusting our time after some transportation issues. I also loved seeing the gorgeous libraries and architecture with Katerina. She was very kind with helping with transportation and walking needs of members of our travel party. Thank you for arranging this wonderful trip for us! I will gladly recommend Kim Kim to others and use them in the future.

We had a fantastic time exploring Berlin, Prague, and Munich, and experienced a diverse array of activities during our 10-day trip. Our local specialist, Lucie, secured excellent accommodations in Berlin and Munich, even though both cities were extremely busy due to the marathon and Oktoberfest, respectively.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tours in Berlin and Prague, where we sampled local cuisine and learned fascinating facts about each city. Our time at Oktoberfest was unforgettable, and we had a blast celebrating one of the biggest parties in the world.

The trip offered a great balance of scheduled activities, including private and small group tours, along with plenty of free time. It never felt rushed or overpacked. On the final day, we were captivated by the beauty of the Bavarian Alps and Neuschwanstein Castle. It was a truly memorable way to end our journey.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Living Hotel Weißensee. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood and features a charming beer garden, where we spent our evenings sipping beer and enjoying the cool air. The rooms were clean, though slightly dated, and the location was a bit removed from Berlin’s city center.

Hey, so I've got some feedback on our recent trip, pointing out the good and the bad stuff.

First off, here's what was positive:
1)the apple Strudel class in Salzburg.
2)the Munich food tour.
3)the two-day guided tours in Heidelberg.
4)the private boat trip and wine tasting excursion in Strasbourg.

But, here's what was not acceptable:
1) The first-class train seats from Salzburg to Munich were a mess. One was in the handicap area, and the other had no legroom, which sucked.
2) The private boat tour in Strasbourg was fun, but the captain asking for €250 at the end was a bit of a shock and pretty awkward.

3) Also, the meeting spot for that boat trip in Strasbourg was a pain to find. We probably wouldn't have found it without the Uber driver's help.

4) On August 6, I expressed my concern regarding the train schedule from Munich to Salzburg on our arrival date, August 26th.....

"I am inquiring about potential disruptions to our planned itinerary, specifically regarding train travel within Germany. Recent communications have alerted me to possible delays and related complications. Considering the information available at the following link (https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/08/05/germany-trains-delays-broken-railroad/), I would appreciate your assessment of the potential impact on our travel arrangements."

Unfortunately, this matter was not addressed.

Finally, in comparison to our previous experience with KimKim in Argentina and Peru, which proved highly successful and cost-effective, this particular trip did not yield comparable results.

My wife and I just returned from our 10 day trip to Germany. The trip was planned to perfection and there were zero issues. Mathilde selections of hotels, train travel and tours fit nicely into exactly what we were looking for. We began in Mainz, then off to Munich, then Nuremberg (with a day trip to Rothenburg), and we ended with Berlin. We will definitely use Mathilde/KimKim again for our international travel needs. Thank you Mathilde and the rest of the Kim Kim that also helped us along the way

The first few days we felt were a little rushed with city/hotel changes and early morning trains. This led us to cancel one of our scheduled tours due to fatigue and pouring rain in Zurich. After we arrived in Munich on day 5 the pace slowed to be more manageable. Still our bus trip to Linderhof and Neuschwanstein felt very rushed. I would have liked to have spent more time at both locations. Pedro our guide for that trip was very good but to keep the tour on time we left 3 people at Linderhof. I was concerned about making it back to the bus in time at Neuschwanstein, so I missed visiting the castle and waited in town while my husband went. It was probably a good decision as we left another passenger there.

Our 2 private tours in Munich were excellent. Kevin took us on a walking "Beer and Bites" tour which we both enjoyed. Max took us to Berchtesgaden and Eagles Nest. Both tours were well paced, and we enjoyed discussing history with both guides. We had some confusion with our guide in Nuremburg. He did not have our name and was looking for another customer and our paperwork said we would be meeting "Kevin" at our hotel. After some discussion between us and the hotel staff we realized that Bastien had booked both the hotel and the tour for us and we were his client for the day. Charlie was also an excellent guide and included some YouTube videos in his car to help give context to some of the WWII sites we visited.

Each of the hotels we stayed in were comfortable. Hotel Beausite in Interlocken was very picturesque and appeared quite old on the outside. The interior was clean, modern and very comfortable. Our room at Hotel Cocoon in Munich was huge and included 1 1/2 baths, sauna and large seating area in the room. The hotel in Nuremburg was next to the market area and an easy walk to the historic area.

I was a little concerned about having a rental car, but my husband did the driving. We had no problems finding parking and navigating from one city to the next. We did have difficulty finding the car rental return location in Frankfurt. The address was shown at the train station but was behind construction barriers. We had to circle a few blocks before final spotting a sign on the fourth floor of a parking garage near the station.

Overall, our trip was fabulous! We have joked that we were touring Europe one mistake at a time. Fortunately, the mistakes were minor and easily corrected. We quickly learned to navigate the public transportation in each city and were even able to add a side trip to Dachau while we were in Munich.

Lucie did an incredible job planning our family trip to Germany & Austria. I provided her with information about the types of things we would like to see and do as well as our preferences and budget and she put together the perfect itinerary. It was nice to be able to meet with her virtually to discuss the trip and ask questions. Both countries were absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the history and culture. We had an amazing and memorable trip!

Mathilde was amazing. She helped us plan everything on the trip and made recommendations when needed. We highly recommend Kim Kim and especially Mathilde!!

Valentine was very helpful in planning our trip and gave us several options as we were trying to decide what to do. Our hotel in Munich was outstanding and we got to experience a lot in three days!

We had a great family trip to Austria and Germany thanks to the efforts of Lucie and KimKim in helping us plan and organize everything. I've never used a travel service before but knew I didn't have the time to really plan out everything for our trip and Lucie was so helpful suggesting ideas and taking feedback on what our group would find interesting. She helped plan and arrange everything from hotels, all transportation (even from the airport/train station to the hotel), and tours/tour guides. I think one of our favorites was the tour of Dachau with our guide Tom who provided so much history and context for us in a conversational way, I think we got so much more out of it than we would have if we just went on our own and walked around.

Dachau was an interesting and poignant historical site and I really appreciated having a tour guide who was able to give us candid historical context around the times and events that took place there. I felt like we learned so much more and benefitted from being able to ask questions of an expert while exploring the site. Would definitely do something like this again.

Schonbrunn Palance and the grounds were beautiful and we really enjoyed walking around, but I think our group was a little "palaced-out" and some skipped the apartments in Vienna. Overall glad we went to see it.

Kamilla and her team’s planning was invaluable to make our trip to Germany unforgettable. There were very few snafu‘s and I was able to reach out and have Kamilla help immediately. We toured from Berlin down to Munich. We had an individual personal tour as well as a small group and larger bus tour. All the chosen tours were exactly on point for what we were looking for. As a family, the grey line Neuschwanstein tour with our bus tour guide, Hanae, was everyone’s favorite. Our least favorite day was the hop on hop off tour in Stuttgart. The bus driver missed stopping at one of the locations where we wanted to get off. We had a wonderful tour of Munich on the free walking tour. Our tour guide’s name was Patrick and he was just phenomenal. Overall, I would highly recommend Kamilla and her team for planning a well tailored vacation to Germany!

Although this hotel looked just like the picture, the size was very very tiny. Even with two of us in one room, we felt cramped. Although overall, the hotel was very clean, there was a small bug on the bed and then in the morning, another stink bug on my suitcase. This hotel was fine. My son thought it was very cute, but it was not a hotel I would want to return to.

Day Trip from Munich to Rothenburg ob der Tauber

This tour might have been better if we had tried to do this from Stuttgart. It was a long way from Munich and the driving felt like as much of the day as the touring if not more. It was about an hour and a half drive to the first stop at Harburg Castle and then another hour and a half drive to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Then finally a 3 Hour Dr. back to Munich.

The castle was lovely. Our guide’s name was Lothar and he was an elderly gentleman. He was very nice. His English was adequate. The hike to the waterfall was a bit disorganized as although he had a map, he had not really been there and was uncertain of several aspects. He was very knowledgeable about the mineral content of the rocks and was a pleasant companion overall.

Lucie helped organize the most perfect family vacation to Germany! She was very helpful with incorporating our many suggestions and changes we asked for. Thank you for specizing the trip to us; it turned out everything we hoped for. We very much like the Cold War and Berlin history walking tour. Kiran was awesome! We even had folks want to join the tour with us he did such a wonderful job. Of course they will likely book their own tour in the future. The trip organized to Neuschwanstein castle was also fantastic. Everything was taken care off from, the bus to the castle, tickets, free time to look around on our own and trip back. The tour guide was from South Africa and his English was very easy to understand! He also even included time for potty breaks on the bus. ride. They thought of everything; all we needed to do was show up and enjoy! Lucie at KimKim did a great job at finding us family friendly hotels that absolutely fit our needs. This is not the easiest for a family of 5. Since we had a multiple night stay in Munich, Lucie was able to arrange a apartment like suite with small kitchen and even a washing machine, which turned out to be a great bonus I didn't think I would use but it was oh so helpful!!. Out hotels were organized to in the city centers so being able to use and experience the German rail system like we hoped was a plus.

Who wouldn't want to stay in a castle?? This out of the way spot was really great. Sleeping in a castle but with all the modern conveniences. The breakfast buffet was awesome and they even personalized it by making table name plates for each family. Hotel guests with kids also have an outdoor play area that has many "knight" in training obstacles to run and play on. Awesome for families. There is also a castle tour and museum right on the property. So cool!!

They really mean call if anything is amiss and work to fix it right away. We couldn't find out transportation for m the airport and With massaging with KimKim we got everything worked out. Had to go to plan B ( just grabbing a taxis at the airport) since we never did find our driver. But KimKim folks were on the ball and very much tried to help. We even received reimbursement for the added expense before we returned home!
