We have had a great trip. Our Annapurna trekking was tough but beautiful and worth all the effort and every step. We also had the pleasure of exploring other parts of Nepal which Ngima arranged. Villages, historic towns and a national park. We felt like we were in good hands and it was clear to us that Ngima and the guides, porter and driver under his charge, really wanted us to have a great experience and he went above and beyond to achieve that. I did the Three Passes Trek from mid-April to early May as a solo female traveler. Ngima was wonderful at planning the trip. I was impressed by how organized and communicative he was beforehand. Throughout the trip, he met me at the airport and kept tabs on all logistics to make sure things went well when flights to Lukla became delayed and when I felt slightly unwell above 16k feet. He personally guided me around Kathmandu. My trekking guide was Tashi and porter was Rabi. They were absolutely fantastic. I felt they were looking out for me at all times and incredibly respectful. We formed a little trail family. When I didn’t feel well, we changed routes to have a more leisurely trek downhill instead of tackling two more high elevation passes. This was the experience of a lifetime! 1000/10 would recommend!

KimKim and Amanda were wonderful to work with while planning our Nepal trip. We felt we were guided well, hitting the areas that interested us most. Kim Kim was an excellent choice of tour agent for us.The team including Ngima( our main contact in Kathmandu) and Ang Gelu sherpa( our guide, for the 10 days) were fantastic.They understood our needs and were very accomodating.the itenary they set up for us was wonderful and covered all areas on Nepal. the accomodation choices were excellent. They worked well as a team with us. Would highly recommend this agency and I would use them again if I return to Nepal.

Lumbini Hokke Hotel

We went to Lumbini in the off season so the hotel was practically empty when we arrived. The location was perfect, very close to all the sites you would want to see in Lumbini. the rooms were clean and set up in a Japanese tradition and style, which was cute. The staff were very helpful and friendly and accomodating for our needs. Unfortuantely the Japanese bath was not open and when we asked for it to be opened we were told its an extra charge of $ 80 US. The Japanese bath area looked not well maintained but otherwise the hotel was wonderful.

I loved the location of this hotel.It was such a peaceful place with a view of the mountains. Felt very peaceful here to sit outside and read by the pool. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.Food was great as I am a vegetarian and it catered well for our food preferences. Would stay again!

Excellent hotel. The history of the hotel made it very unique place to stay. the courtyard was my favourite place to sit and read daily. Food was great.Staff were very helpful.Location was perfect only 3-5 minute drive from the airport which made all our travels very easy. Would stay here again!

Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini

The drive from Chitwan from Lumbini was along a non existent road,it was a dirt road all the way. Road works constantly going on which stopped the traffic.The "road" was extremely busy with trucks, buses, cars and motorbikes.This was on the mountian side so felt very unsafe to me.Ideally i would have flown.

Full-day Chitwan activities

Chitwan National Park

We started the day early with a canoe ride on the river to see the crocodiles and bird life.Very peaceful. Saw lots of crocodiles too. this was followed by trip to Chitwan national park to see the rhinos and tiger.We were out on the safari for 4 hours and saw at least 15 white one horned rhinos which was amazing.Unfortunatley we did not see any tigers or sloth bears. Good successful day

The second part of our trek was just as challenging as the first day .A lot of steps down and then a steady climb up for 2.5 hours ,all worth it, you have constant views of the mountains and also the valley. We stopped at a teahouse for lunch in Gandruk,where they made food from scratch for us for lunch which was delicious.

The drive was no issues to Dhampus.We started our trek from Damphus with stunning views on route.Stopped at a tea house for lunch which was delicious.Continued our trek to Landruk and stayed at a beautiful lodge.the location of the lodge was great with phenomenal views of the mountains.The rooms were clean and pleasant but basic.We were told this is the best lodge in the region.The food was simple and limited in choice for vegetarians but sufficient for us and we understood the difficulty in supplies. The trek was difficult but well worth it.

Our trip was a very memorable experience from start to finish! Our guide Pratikshya wanted to know our interests and concerns every step of the way. The accommodations at each of our stops could not have been better. The employees at each of our hotels were welcoming and helpful. The trip was full of surprises from the many temples to the trip to the Annapurna base camp. One of my favorite experiences was the MoMo cooking class with some helpful local women. The lake area was a relaxing change from Kathmandu and the views on the day hike were spactacular. Our stay at the chiwan National Park exceeded expectations. Our guide during our stay went our of his way to see that we experinced all the best at the Park.

Our trip was extraordinary from beginning to end. Amanda helped us with our itinerary until it was just what we wanted. The 3 totally different areas we visited were fascinating. We learned so much about the people, religions, culture and foods of Nepal.
From our first meeting with Raj we knew we were in good hands. He as welcoming and helpful as he went through our week’s itinerary.
Our guide for the first 2 locations was Pratikshya. She was energetic, fun, knowledgeable, patient and kind. We loved our time with her. She helped us change our itinerary when our mountain flight was cancelled and we were able to visit a base camp instead which was wonderful.
When we went to Chitwan we had Gobinda as our naturalist. He was very knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of.
The hotels we stayed in were all first class. Nepali Ghar was charming. The restaurant was great and the staff was very helpful.
Temple Tree Resort and Spa was beautiful, had great spa services and great food. The Bahari Lodge in Chitwan was amazing. The cabins were fantastic, the staff top notch and the food delicious.
This trip exceeded all expectations and I can’t thank KimKim enough for your help and guidance. If I could change one thing, I’d stay in Chitwan one more day. I will definitely encourage my friends to visit Nepal and use your company to guide them. I would love to come back someday soon to do some trekking.

Our local specialist was not Erin. Our local specialist Pratikshya and she was outstanding. The golden triangle was a great taste of city life to mountains to low land. The hotels / resorts were beyond top notch.

Structured Planning: While I used to plan my own travel, Sangita helped to narrow down my options by getting to know my budget and preferences. Her advice and tips saved me a lot of my planning time. Sangita also sends out preparations and packing reminders prior to the trip, and her broader team stayed in contact with me throughout my trekking trip.

Always looked after and shown the best places by our super experienced guide Furo Sonom Sherpa with plenty of freedom to explore the city or countryside on down days - if you're looking for a guided trip in Nepal or your not the most confident overseas traveler, this is the way to go.

Our Nepal trip was amazing, Sangita planned everything very well to the last detail, and customized the itinerary exactly to our preferences. She's very knowledgeable and we learned so much from her. Walking with her while she expertly navigates the narrow streets of Kathmandu was so much fun, and we saw parts of the city few travellers get to see.
Our trek with Mitra was carefully thought out, we felt in very good hands as he did this route many times.
Sangita organized two Newari cooking classes for us which was both very exciting and tasty, and we got to learn from Nepali expert homemakers.
Sanit took us on a journey through Buddhist and Hindu temples and rituals, and gave us a very in-depth explanation of eastern philosophy.

Sangita was always on top of things, gave us constant support whenever we contacted her, and welcomed us into Nepal <3

The Traditional Stay in Patan offered very clean rooms, but the room configurations were quite strange. We had to change rooms a few times because each had a separate issue. The accommodation was cold with no proper heating in the rooms, which was a bit uncomfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay as Aabas, the breakfast was great, shower, bed and amenities were above our expectations, the view from the rooftop pool is awe inspiring.

We had so much fun learning from Rita and Sangita the art of making MoMo. Ours weren't particularly perfect, but with the help of our teachers we got to enjoy a great meal of our making. The food came out amazing and since we made everything from scratch we can now make it to our friends back home.

Sangita did an excellent job putting our trip to Nepal together. Everything worked like clockwork from the airport pick up to the drop off. She listened to our ideas and concerns and came up with the prefect trek for us (Pikey Peak). Throughout the entire planning and travel period she was always friendly, available and answered our questions without any delay. You could feel how much she cared about us and made sure we were ok both in Kathmandu as well as . She came and visited us in Kathmandu and even gave us a private walking tour in Thamil showing us some insider locations. THANK YOU Sangita.
The Pikey Peak trek was a spectacular hike along the Himalayans with stunning views of Mount Everest. Our guide, Mietra, was a local and knew the area very well. He also knew the owners of the Tea Houses and made sure we were very well taken care of. The warm breakfasts, lunches and dinners were delicious everywhere.
Our porter Buan always had a big smile on his face, despite the heavy bag he had to carry. Also a shoutout to our driver, who managed to drive us safely to/from the trails despite the very bad road conditions (most roads were washed away in September).

In Kathmandu we met Raj and Bipin, both excellent always on time and spoke excellent English. No language misunderstandings and always accommodated our needs. Food recommendations were great and we enjoyed a wonderful Nepalese experience in Kathmandu.
We went to Pokhara and Rabin did a great job accommodating all our activities such as paragliding, Sunrise Zipline, Canoeing and light trekking. Once again Rabin could not have been more helpful. Always on time or early and helped us enormously.
We went on to Chitwan at Tiger Tops, looking for Tigers. Sam was our guide, once again, as with all guides, communication was perfect and he thought outside the box to help us. In particular when I had trouble getting into the back of the jeep, he provided a crate as a stepping stool for me. Most helpful and helped make the ride more enjoyable without worrying about getting in and out of the jeep.
Food has been incredible and plentiful. All staff most accommodating and polite. Such an amazing experience.
Last we went to Bhutan and met our guide BJ and driver Mr Supra. BJ gave us a wonderful history of Buddhism and the History of Bhutan. He gave us a perfect view and taste of Bhutan. He even managed to give us a free room upgrade in one of the hotels when we wanted to be close to the dining area, as we were so happily tired from sight-seeing and needed an early morning departure to get to the start of the trek to Tigers Nest. BJ and Mr Supra could not have been more helpful in assisting us safely up to Tigers Nest Monastery and then the long trek back down to the parking lot.
What a wonderful vacation. So thankful for Social Tours help in organizing this trip, always available and always helpful and always waiting patiently at every airport to assist departures and arrivals with ease and happiness.

Truly a unique experience - Sangita had everything organized perfectly from pick-ups to transfers and even checking in on us during the trip to ensure we were ok.

The trekking route (Pikey-Peak) was amazing, with Himalaya views most of the time. Mitra guided us safely from teahouse to teahouse and knew all the people to interact with so well. We enjoyed delicious Nepali food in all locations, and bottled water was available everywhere as well.
Our porter Buan was reliable and always ready to assist with the luggage :)

While trekking was not always easy, it made for a wonderful experience with amazing sights!!!
