What you'll do

Kick off your adventure in Flåm, where you'll board a comfortable shuttle bus for a scenic 20-minute ride to the village of Gudvangen. Upon arrival, you'll have a few minutes to wander at your leisure before heading to the harbor to meet your charismatic guide. You'll gear up and then load into your RIB. The boats are small, fitting about 12 people to ensure a more personal experience, and allow you to get up close to the beautiful surroundings. As you zoom past towering cliffs and over pristine waters, your guide will share fascinating tales and local history, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

Along the way, you'll make a stop and go ashore to visit Undredal, nestled between tall mountains and known for its world-famous brown and white goat cheese. Here, you'll be greeted by your host from a local cheese farm. This part of the excursion includes a short introduction to the traditions and production process of their award-winning goat cheese. You'll then have the chance to taste several types served with flatbread and jam, and if you find a favorite, you can purchase it from the café before departing. Afterward, sit back and enjoy the rest of the boat trip back to Flåm.

Our guide, Nathan, was very informative and provided a lot of details about the area. The cheese tasting was fun. We never felt pressured to buy anything. The suits are really warm and help protect against the wind. We were given lots of opportunities to take some amazing photos. Read more

Nathan was excellent. I liked that he reviewed safety protocols (especially what to do if he was somehow incapacitated)
