What you'll do

After a brief safety orientation in Flåm, you'll don the provided gear, including a flotation suit, lifejacket, hat, gloves, and goggles, to prepare for your RIB journey. As you glide through the fjord from Aurland, your guide will share captivating stories and historical insights about the region, including amusing tales of Norwegian folklore, such as the legendary trolls.

Prepare to be captivated by Norway's stunning fjord landscapes as you set out. Your guide will share fascinating stories and historical insights about the region, enriching your understanding of these majestic natural wonders. You'll cruise past small, picturesque villages nestled along the fjords' edges, with ample opportunities to marvel at cascading waterfalls. The open boat design provides unobstructed views, so remember to have your camera ready for the spectacular vistas.

The experience takes you to the mouth of the Nærøyfjord, where you can reach out and almost touch the Sagfoss waterfall before it's time to turn around for the return trip. Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife as you make your way through the fjords; eagles, seals, and porpoises are known to appear, adding a touch of "I spy" excitement to the trip.

I do not remember the young man’s name that gave the tour but he captained with Maya. He was great. He had interesting quirky stories and facts. He was funny and worked to keep all ages engaged.
