What you'll do

This immersive 3.5-hour experience begins when you meet your private guide and set off on a walk tracing Winston Churchill's wartime footsteps through Westminster. Stroll past Whitehall, 10 Downing Street, and the Houses of Parliament, and pause at the places where some of the most defining moments of Britain's wartime history unfolded. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about the routines, relationships, and places that shaped one of the 20th century's most influential leaders.

A highlight is a guided visit to the Churchill War Rooms, the secret underground headquarters where Churchill and his government directed Britain's war effort. Perfectly preserved, the labyrinthine corridors, meeting rooms, and communication centers look just as they did in 1945. Explore vital sites like the Cabinet Rooms (where some of the most strategic decisions of World War II were made), the Map Room (still laid out with original maps charting every troop and ship movement), and the Transatlantic Telephone Room (where Churchill communicated in secret with the US president).

You'll end just around the corner at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel, a beautifully restored Edwardian building originally used as an army recruitment office (and more recently used by the Ministry of Defense). It's a fitting setting for a memorable lunch, enjoyed amid traditional surroundings in the heart of Westminster. You'll also receive a parting gift from your guide: a fragrant memento of the day in the form of a sample of Churchill's favorite perfume.
