What you'll do
Your day will start with a pick-up from your hotel to a cozy pottery studio where you'll meet with your teacher. First, you will be introduced to the primary material used for pottery-making: clay. Following this, your experienced teacher will share their knowledge and expertise on the art of pottery, imparting their unique techniques to all those in attendance. You'll have the opportunity to watch the potter at work, creating stunning pieces using techniques that have been passed down for generations. You'll learn about the materials, tools, and methods used to create these exquisite masterpieces, gaining insight into the intricate process of shaping, glazing, and firing the clay.
After the introduction, it's your turn to test your skills and put your newfound knowledge to work! Your teacher will always be available to answer questions and help guide you. Enjoy the process of learning new skills, experimenting with traditional techniques, and letting your imagination run wild.
You will be able to pick up your own pottery after it has been properly baked as soon as the following afternoon!
