When it comes to visiting Greece’s islands and ancient sites, one size does not fit all. In fact, it's the perfect destination for an adventure customized to your interests and tastes. Here’s some insight into how kimkim accomplishes that and helps you plan and book your dream trip.

Why choose kimkim?

Connect directly to a local specialist in Greece. We’re passionate about customizing a trip with authentic flavor and unique experiences that speak to your personality. Planning with us means working with an experienced, creative, and highly-vetted local specialist who lives and works in Greece and will collaborate one-on-one with you to create the ideal vacation.

Your trip will be personalized to your specific tastes. Whether you’re interested in white-water rafting and wine tasting, cooking classes and island hopping, sailing through the turquoise Aegean, or seeing ancient ruins away from the crowds—with a guide who highlights secret treasures of even the most visited sites — our specialists will put together the trip that is right for you.

This commitment to experiences and attention starts with our quick and fun onboarding process and continues through the length of your stay in Greece.

Secure and easy booking. Once you are 100% happy with your trip plan, you'll be able to easily book your entire trip through kimkim's secure payment platform.

Customizing Your Perfect Trip

Once we have a sense of who you are and what you’re looking for, you’ll be matched with the right specialist for you. That might be based on the region of Greece you’re looking to visit (like the Peloponnese and Crete) or activities you’re interested in (like trekking or cooking). Because of their expertise and experience, they’ll also steer you toward the right location and time of year for your ideal adventure, ensuring you have access to fantastic trails for hiking and perfect weather for beach time or visiting ancient ruins.

Your customized experience will also incorporate personalized approaches to lodging, guides, and even transportation. Our Greek specialists like to keep excursions meaningful by eschewing “bus excursions” in favor of private tours or intimate group settings. Rather than being dropped off with 100 other people on an island in the Cyclades, imagine having a guide point out architectural marvels and history as she walks you to a private studio visit with a local craftsman in a town you wouldn’t have thought of visiting on your own.

We only want you to interact with the best of the best at every point on your vacation. That’s why every professional you’ll work with on your trip—from hotel proprietors to drivers—are continuously evaluated by our specialists.

Local Specialists, Insider Knowledge

Our experts give suggestions based on traveler reviews and their own personal experience—not on who gives the highest commission. Their tips and insight not only add immense value to our process but set us and our style apart from our competitors.

These are experts who have spent years putting together tours and know the value that creativity and insight bring to your vacation. They are also passionate tourists and proud ambassadors of Greece, eager to bring you to an island you've never heard of or a picturesque sea cave you wouldn't have otherwise visited because they want to show you the best the country has to offer.

Access to Hidden Gems

Our focus is on creating meaningful experiences that immerse you in Greek culture. You’ll be led to Greece’s hidden gems: think spending a day with a local shepherd, trekking through lesser-known gorges on Crete, hopping on board a traditional fishing boat with a local fisherman, or visiting a marble-sculpting atelier on the island of Tinos.

Unique Ways to Experience Greece's Highlights

Not everyone wants to get completely off the grid—but even if you want to hit Greece's most popular sites and cities, kimkim ensures a customized experience.

If you’re a culinary enthusiast eager to visit the Peloponnese, your specialist may suggest a visit to olive groves in Kalamata. You can meet farmers, see the pressing process of fresh olive oil, and do a tasting or even a cooking class that teaches with incredibly fresh local produce.

Likewise, if you’re excited to visit some of the most famous—and notoriously touristy—sites from the ancient world, your specialist will match you with a guide who gets you out of the fray of foot traffic. Take a personalized tour based on what excites you, be it architecture, art history, mythology, or more.

Experience Greece like a local, learning about traditions, customs, and culture in an intimate setting, rather than in a big group, or trying to navigate on your own with a guidebook.

In-Destination Support and Suggestions

Kimkim’s travel experts are also there for you after you’ve decided on the details of your trip. Not only will your specialist provide with additional tips so you can make the most out of your vacation, but we are available to help once you land in Greece. That means anything from suggesting a perfect taverna on Mykonos to facilitating last minute changes to your itinerary (whenever possible) or assisting you if you hit a snag in your travel plans.

Trip to greece, Greece - Oct 3 - Oct 11, 2018

We had a fabulous trip and were able to relax and enjoy every step of the way thanks to kimkim and Tasos. We had a fabulous trip and were able to relax and enjoy every step of the way thanks to kimkim and Tasos. I was nervous at first using a travel service that I couldn't find many reviews for, but it couldn't have been better. The planning process was easy and fun, with an email exchange with Tasos to find the right mix of active/relaxing/cultural activities. He found great hotels for us and arranged all transfers. In the midst of planning, the ferry schedule changed and Tasos alerted us right away so we could make necessary changes to our plans. Without Tasos, we wouldn't have known about that change. Lampros, our driver from the Athens airport to hotel, was very professional and knowledgeable. We were greeted with a vodaphone card and phone battery charger in a welcome packet. We only had one day in Athens, so Tasos arranged a combined Mythology and Food Tour. Katerina, our Mythology guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The suite with private and hot tub at Aphrodite & Venus Hotel on Santorini was beautiful with wonderful breakfast. The Wooden Boat tour with dinner/saxophone/sunset was a fun tour with guide Christina. We also enjoyed our stay in Naxos. The Nastasia Village Hotel was quaint, also with delicious breakfast and made to order eggs each morning. The host family was welcoming and helpful. The Naxos Trekking hike we took was a highlight with a guided tour just for the two of us. The day prior, the original tour guide was called away unexpectedly, but it was seemless to us as Taos made arrangements for a new guide, Matina. He offered a refund for that tour if we weren't satisfied, but that tour was a highlight of the trip. Tasos arranged for the taxi to pick us up from the hotel and meet Matina in Chalki where headed off for our hike. The taxi picked us up at the end of the hike to go back to the hotel. We had Tasos arrange all of our transfers to/from hotel/ferries and it made things so easy. We felt like VIPs when we showed up and just looked for a sign with our name on it. The transfer to the airport at the end was a little tight, but we made it (barely). The itinerary we received from Tasos about a week before departure was thorough and well-organized. It was a great reference during our trip, but just enough that we didn't have to think too much on the trip and could enjoy the sights and the company! We had a couple questions during our stay and Tasos was always quick to respond via email. I would definitely use this service again.
