What you'll do

This three-hour excursion begins near Lambeth North Station, where you'll join your private guide, choose from a fleet of comfortable, retro-style e-bikes, and don an optional helmet (or get in character with a tweed flat cap). Begin with a pedal through Archbishop's Park to get comfortable with your bike, then cruise past the 800-year-old Tudor splendor of Lambeth Palace and pause on the south bank of the River Thames for a postcard-worthy view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

As you continue across the river into Westminster, your entertaining guide will share colorful stories of this historic seat of power, politics, and espionage. Depending on your timing, you may also cut through St. James's Park to reach Buckingham Palace just in time to catch the Changing of the Guards, make a foray into Hyde Park to cycle along the banks of the Serpentine, or follow in the footsteps of royal processions as you trace The Mall toward Whitehall and Horse Guards Parade.

Zip through Trafalgar Square as your guide points out the iconic shapes of Nelson's Column and the National Gallery, then trade Westminster for the West End as you bike into the cobbled alleys of Covent Garden. Wind your way past historic theaters and bustling markets, discover London's only Italianate piazza, and stop for refreshments (not included) at an infamous 17th-century pub known for its ties to bare-knuckle boxing.

Pause at Cleopatra's Needle to learn why this ancient Egyptian obelisk guards the River Thames, then follow the Victoria Embankment south past the giant wheel of the London Eye. After a cinematic trip across the Westminster Bridge in the shadow of Big Ben, you'll pass through the Leake Street Tunnel. Known as the "Banksy Tunnel," this 984-foot (300 m) art installation is the city's largest graffiti wall, and you'll be invited to grab a can of spray paint and leave your mark before cycling back to the starting point.
