"My passion for travel started from my curiosity about history. I love learning about the history of different countries and cultures and seeing the influence of people in different corners of the world. It is truly an eye-opening experience. "

"I will never forget my experience in Kiev, Ukraine where I got to experience a unique culture and history. Post-Soviet Ukraine surprised me with magnificent architecture and glorious monuments (especially the Motherland Monument). A totally different experience was visiting the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster which shook the whole world. Seeing the abandoned villages and imagining the lives of people who once lived there makes you think about how we as people have so much influence on our planet. "

The hotel was simply amazing! The cabins were beautiful inside and the views outside were breathtaking. The location of the hotel made it easy to walk into Svolvær. We had a beautiful dinner for our large group at the restaurant Borsen and it was spectacular. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to lofoten

A private driver for the day
Norway

We had a wonderful time exploring two different locations in lofoten. We went first a beach walk in Haukland and a visit to the town of Henningsvær. We are so happy we had the driver because we could enjoy the scenery and also not have to worry about finding parking. I’m glad we only had two stops. You don’t want to feel rushed.

The golfing was a highlight for the guys in our group. They were lucky and had beautiful weather, but overall it was a once in a lifetime experience. The transportation to the course and back was very smooth.

Voss was a fantastic experience. The team at Outdoor Norway was amazing. Mohan was a great guide. We saw one of the employees later at a park and he even helped teach the kids some parkour moves! I wish I remembered his name, all I know is that he is from Spain.

Bergen is a beatiful city. Maria was a great guide, made it fun even in the rain!

Kadri's team was exceptional. Quick responses. Easy set up. Everything was at our fingertips and instruction were crystal clear. I didn't have to worry about a thing!

Or flight was cancelled from the US, I contacted KimKim agents and they worked to rebook things for me while I slept. I woke up the next morning with changes to my trip which made the whole thing easier. We enjoyed the recommendations and reservations they made for tours. We had just finished a cycling trip and we were taking a few more days to see the western part of Norway. We spent time in Alesund, Loen, Flam and Bergen and rented the car on our own. We really enjoyed the time on our own to explore Loen and the Jostedalbreen National Park. I highly recommend the Loen Skylift, it is a bit pricey, but the views are outstanding. We also visited the glacier museum on the drive to Flam. Renting an electric vehicle was easy and we easily found charging... Read more

We had just finished a cycling trip and we were taking a few more days to see the western part of Norway. We spent time in Alesund, Loen, Flam and Bergen and rented the car on our own. We really enjoyed the time on our own to explore Loen and the Jostedalbreen National Park. I highly recommend the Loen Skylift, it is a bit pricey, but the views are outstanding. We also visited the glacier museum on the drive to Flam. Renting an electric vehicle was easy and we easily found charging stations, be prepared for long tunnels if you are driving to Bergen.
We were lucky to arrive at places in between tour buses and cruise ships. Most of the towns had very large cruise ships docked in the fjords nearby and that created a crowded downtowns while people were off the ship or bus tours. Norway has a short tourist season and lovely cool weather, so plan ahead. I was very happy with the service provided by Kimkim and the app made finding tickets and confirmations very easy.

This was my third trip with KimKim. And, as usual, everything went perfectly. Denmark is a wonderful country and they have organized and run their country much better than we in the US have. I am 82 and at this age I enjoy simply watching people and absorbing their lifestyles, just seeing how their society functions. I will definitely will use KimKim again as a travel arranger. Using the contact information kimkim provided prior to our trip, we connected and received an answer immediately. No worries! Most important for travelers is to have help readily available. Sodermalm is not the most scenic place, compared to the Gamla Stan, but our tour guide added focus on the history of the area and the changing culture, as well as pointing out dining locations. A really good counterpoint to the usual glitzy tourist tour.

Glad we had the chance to see this extension of Stockholm. Very scenic. The lunch provided was very good, but unfortunately when one is in the dining room, we could not hear the narration of the boat's guide as he pointed out special locations and described some history. As nice as it was to have the lunch, I think that it would be a better experience to wander the boat or sit in one of the several passenger areas, use the snack bar if necessary, and soak in the sights AND the guide's narration.

We had a GREAT GUIDE! He was full of stories about the history of the castle, as well as the general history of Sweden at the time of this castle's active life. Interesting place to visit, not quite like the typical palace tour where rooms are loaded with fancy furniture etc, but instead magnificent rooms that have stories to tell.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the trip planning and overall service for our Norway trip. The only reason I am giving stars is because Norway is an incredible country and, thankfully, it runs so well on its own. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the trip planning and overall service for our Norway trip. The only reason I am giving stars is because Norway is an incredible country and, thankfully, it runs so well on its own. Also, the hotel in Alta , Onga was extraordinary, and we were lucky enough to see the Aurora, which was truly unforgettable.

That said, the planning felt overly commercial and generic. From hotel reservations to transfers to restaurant recommendations, everything seemed focused on standard tourist logistics rather than creating a meaningful or authentic cultural experience. We had no real opportunities to connect with Norwegian culture, traditions, or local experiences, which is what I expected from a company like Kimkim.

There were also several major issues that should never happen with a professional travel agent:
1. The castle visit in Denmark – we were not informed of the ticket time, and we missed the visit completely.
2. Bergen airport transfer – we were forced to arrive extremely early, which caused us to miss the only great part of the Bergen hotel: the breakfast.
3. Transfers advertised as private – we were clearly told in writing (and charged accordingly) that all transfers would be private, yet in Alta the transfer was shared. Because of this, we had to miss a museum visit.

Overall, there was very little attention to detail and almost no care in making sure the trip flowed smoothly. For the high price I paid, the service and planning did not match expectations at all.

I strongly recommend that future Kimkim travelers consider working with a different Norway specialist.

Onga in Alta was absolutely wonderful. In such a cold and extreme environment, the hotel felt incredibly warm, cozy, and welcoming. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect place to stay in Northern Norway. What truly stood out was the staff — they genuinely go out of their way to accommodate guests and make everyone feel comfortable and cared for. Their hospitality made a huge difference in our experience. A perfect stay and highly recommended!

At the same time, I’m really glad to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at ONGA Boutique Hotel in Alta. Your kind words about the warm atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and especially the staff’s genuine care and hospitality are wonderful to hear. It’s exactly the type of experience we aim to include in our itineraries, and I’m very happy that this part of your trip stood out so positively.

We are sorry that we did not double check with you that you had clearly understood all the information provided in the confirmation documents. I understand that the marking of the ticket timeslot in the confirmation documents was not clear for you, and that this resulted in confusion on the ground and ultimately missing the castle visit.

Regarding the transfer in Alta, there seems to have been a misunderstanding. Our team understood that you would like to have a stop in Alta city to explore, and we were not aware that you specifically wished to visit the Alta Museum located outside of the city instead. I’m very sorry that this miscommunication led to you missing a visit that was important to you.

I am also sorry to hear that, despite our support team adjusting your Bergen Airport transfer from 7:00 to 7:20 instead of 7:30, you still missed the breakfast at your hotel. I understand how disappointing that must have been, especially as it was something you were looking forward to.

Finally, I regret that the transfer in Alta did not match your expectation of a private service as stated. This should have been clearly aligned with what was promised.

Your comments about the trip lacking authentic cultural experiences are very important to us, and we will take them seriously as we continue to improve both our itineraries and communication.
