Our trip to Morocco, arranged through KimKim, was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We have traveled extensively and have had all kinds of experiences. Everything on this trip exceeded our expectations.

Our private driver and guide, Mohammed, was outstanding — thoughtful, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond to take care of our every need. The vehicle was very comfortable, and traveling from city to city felt easy and enjoyable.

Every riad and desert camp we stayed in was beautiful, comfortable, and full of authentic Moroccan charm. It’s hard to choose a single highlight because the entire experience was amazing — from the camel ride and desert night in the Sahara, to exploring Fez and Marrakech, to the cooking class we loved so much.

We had the special opportunity to share meals in local homes, which were among the most memorable moments of our journey. Visiting synagogues, mosques, and learning about Morocco’s rich blend of cultures — Berber, Jewish, Christian, and Muslim — left a lasting impression. We also enjoyed hikes in the countryside, a visit to the Majorelle Gardens, and a relaxing hammam and massage, which felt heavenly after all the walking.

Most of all, it was the warmth and kindness of the Moroccan people that made this trip so special. Every person we met welcomed us with open hearts and genuine smiles.

We can’t recommend this experience highly enough — Morocco captured our hearts, and we’re already dreaming of returning.

Majid helped us quickly plan a wonderful 10-day trip through a good part of Morocco (Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga, Boumalne Dades/Ait Benhaddou, Marrakesh) which allowed us to experience many of the country's beautiful traditions, culture and people. He organised an excellent and friendly driver, Ismail, who spent countless hours on the road with us and was always happy to share facts, language lessons, tips, insights, and excellent restaurant recommendations. He quickly became one of our most trusted resources and good friend. Both Majid and Ismail were always keen to ensure that we were enjoying ourselves and seeing the best of Morocco. They were in constant touch from the beginning to the end.

Travelling in a small group of only two women, I was pleased with the accommodations selected by Majid. They were always beautiful, safe, and offered exactly what we needed in each city whether that was a beautiful view or a cool respite. Our activities were varied yet tailored to our requests and many of the associated individual guides/hosts always very welcoming. We especially enjoyed the cooking class with Rania, Latifa and their families who so kindly welcomed us into their home for the evening. We also appreciated Mohammed, our expert guide through the Dades Gorge, providing an impromptu opportunity to share mint tea with his Berber friend and learn first-hand about Berber families and culture.

This amazing dar is charm x 1000. Every detail - colour, textures, patterns - is found throughout the property. It is truly an immersive experience of Moroccan culture. The views of Chefchaouen from the rooftop are incredible and are thoroughly enjoyed while having a tasty breakfast with plenty of fresh juice, coffee and mint tea. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and of course matched the beautiful decor of the dar. It's location was well positioned for getting right into Chefchaouen, making it very easy to get out and explore on your own.

This was a beautful hotel with great amenities including a gorgeous rooftop pool. Our stay was very short but we found it very comfortable, clean, and well located to our actvities that day (a hike through the Dades Gorge).

Our biggest regret is that we were only there for one night having arrived in the late afternoon and then headed out the next morning. During our short time there, the staff were simply amazing. They took care of getting us across the desert to the camp, created a delicious meal for dinner, provided musical evening entertainment, and then were up again the next day preparing breakfast and getting us ready to head out. The camp itself was beautful and well appointed, with comfortable bedrooms, but I think it was the staff that made it all the more special.

The crew of guys that run this camp are all so friendly and awesome! It's truly a luxury experience in the middle of the Sahara. The food was delicious, the live music was impressive, and we had a wonderful time here. It's a trek to get to the area but it's truly a one in a lifetime opportunity. Really cool Riad that we stayed at for a night on our way from Merzouga to Marrakech. The place is well styled with great AC and an awesome two-level rooftop. The staff working here were super friendly and accommodating. Their food (breakfast and dinner) were both great!

We had a top floor room here which was great because it let in more light and we were able to sit outside or inside. Whilst we had to climb stairs, the staff did help with the luggage up to the room. Breakfast here was fairly basic - just a bowl of fruit, breads and spreads (no yoghurt, olives etc), although eggs were offered. The picture of the roof top terrace is a bit deceptive as it's not really an inviting area to go and sit to have a drink.

The rooms are small but nicely appointed with welcoming touches such as flowers and fruit. There was also a fridge in the room. Staff helped us with our luggage up to the room because, as with most riads, there's no lift. Of all the places we stayed, this had the nicest food for breakfast - delicious small ham and egg quiches. We were also welcomed with cookies and an expresso coffee. The top floor had a plunge pool and some sun beds which, while we didn't use them, looked inviting.

We had a ground floor room at this riad which meant that there were no stairs to climb but the room was dark and could have done with some better lighting. The tap in the bathroom needed repairing as it had come away from the unit. Breakfast offered bread, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, spreads and olives plus eggs if you wanted them. It was situated down an alleyway in the medina so you need to be prepared for a 10 minute walk from any vehicle that might drop you off.

Basic hotel with limited service due to it being a public holiday. The room itself was a good size but when we wanted to get a drink and a meal everything was closed up. After about an hour of waiting, we were able to get a drink delivered to our room but then had to go out and find something to eat as the room service options for food were very limited. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of choice and eggs prepared to order if you wanted them.

This riad is actually several properties amalgamated into one. We received a nice welcome with tea and a delicious cookie. There are 2 lifts - one to the terrace and one leading to some of the rooms. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no encouragement to use the terrace and you couldn't order a meal or drink there. The rooms themselves are quite dark as most riads are because they are inward looking. Overall the service here was a bit disjointed and there seemed to be no real direction of any of the men serving food around the pool area. It is possible to order a beer or wine and have an evening meal here but when it came to paying they wanted to be paid instead of us charging to our room. Whilst the pool seemed to be an attraction, there was no inclination to use it as all the dining tables were around the pool. Breakfast options included a huge amount of bread, pastries and cakes along with fruit, yoghurt, spreads, olives etc - far too much for us to eat and that was without even having any eggs.

This hotel was set up previously for Asian tours although it appears that these are not currently happening. The hotel is situated near the medina on the main road and so the rooms facing the road are quite noisy. There is a fridge in the room which is a bonus as not everywhere has these and the rooms are adequate for a couple of nights. Breakfast is served buffet style on the upstairs outdoor terrace with plenty of choice.

Really enjoyed this walk around the medina looking at the various blue streets, entrances, the washing houses, public bake houses and market areas. Our guide was great - he was knowledgeable and patient. He took into account the walking pace we were capable of and we had plenty of stops for photos etc. We got to sample some freshly baked cookies from the bake house and see how they operated and learned a lot about the history of the medina which included the Jewish quarter.

We were met at the airport by Kahlid and from there it was nothing but first class service. Unfortunately I had had a foot injury, but Kahlid changed tactic from being our guide to my carer on a heartbeat. He arranged medical supplies - a moon boot - and trips to get X-rays and doctor’s appointments. He was unbelievably kind and concerned and nothing was too much trouble. We were met at the airport by Kahlid and from there it was nothing but first class service. Unfortunately I had had a foot injury, but Kahlid changed tactic from being our guide to my carer on a heartbeat. He arranged medical supplies - a moon boot - and trips to get X-rays and doctor’s appointments. He was unbelievably kind and concerned and nothing was too much trouble. He even arranged a tuk tuk to take me around the Medina! Whilst we did not complete our journey because we returned home early, what we did see of Marrakech was due to Kahlid’s kindness. He patiently sat in the waiting rooms while I had medical attention. I really can’t thank Kimkim enough because I know our driver was communicating with Hassan who shared his concern and helped arrange medical attention. For anyone to know they will be helped if they find themselves in health trouble, the level of assistance given to my husband and I was gold.

Omar was very polite and helped keep my nervous wife calm on our hike in the mountain trails, and let her ride the mule which was fun. We had a memorable lunch that he served us on the patio on his mountain home.
Ismail drove us to our destinations each day, and he spoke such good English, while always able to explain the culture and history of the country and sights we could see, and always using good humor to make us laugh.
The young men at the Agafay domes were very nice to us, and gave us music, meals, and shows that we will remember for a lifetime.
I am not making this up!
