Experiences
We’ll arrange a mix of traditional cultural activities and cutting-edge attractions, tailored to your interests. Dive into Japanese traditions with a tea ceremony, calligraphy class, or archery lesson, or enjoy the performing arts with tickets to kabuki or Noh theatre. Prefer modern attractions? We can secure entry to places like TeamLab Borderless, anime-themed cafés, or the Studio Ghibli Museum. Want to explore iconic landmarks such as Tokyo Skytree or plan a day trip to Mt. Fuji? We’ll handle all reservations and tickets in advance, ensuring every experience is smooth and stress-free.

Anime & Disney
For anime enthusiasts and Disney lovers, we’ll design unforgettable trips centered around your passions. Visit the whimsical Studio Ghibli Museum or dive into adventures filled with Pokémon and other anime-themed stops. We’ll secure tickets to the Ghibli Museum (a fan favorite) and curate itineraries focusing on your favorite franchises, whether it’s Sailor Moon, Pokémon, or Demon Slayer. Explore Akihabara’s anime shops, themed cafés, and arcades, or shop for rare collectibles in Ikebukuro and Harajuku.

If Disney is your dream, we’ll plan magical visits to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, two of the most unique parks in the world. From ride tips to dining recommendations, we’ll help you make the most of your Disney adventure.

Japanese Food
Food is an essential part of any trip to Japan, and we’ll help you savor the country’s incredible culinary culture. From securing reservations at top restaurants for kaiseki dining to recommending the best ramen shops, we’ll ensure you experience the finest Japanese cuisine. Staying at a ryokan? We’ll arrange for meals to be included, letting you enjoy traditional breakfasts and multi-course dinners. Interested in food tours, market visits, or sake tastings? We’ll organize those too for a deeper dive into Japan’s gastronomic delights.

Accommodation
From comfortable 3-star hotels to luxurious 5-star stays, we’ll find accommodations that perfectly suit your budget and style. For an authentic cultural experience, we can arrange for you to stay at a traditional ryokan, a Japanese inn featuring tatami mat rooms, hot spring baths, and exquisite meals. We’ll ensure every arrangement is tailored to your needs, including securing ryokan stays with breakfast and dinner for a complete immersion in Japanese hospitality.

Transportation
Navigating Japan’s famously efficient transport system can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make it easy. We’ll organize your **transportation**, from high-speed Shinkansen journeys to local trains, ferries, and buses. Your itinerary will include detailed train schedules, station names, and tickets or special passes, ensuring seamless travel. Whether it’s Tokyo’s intricate subway system or a scenic ferry to Miyajima Island, we’ll make sure every detail is covered.

Your Journey, Our Expertise
At You Could Travel, we focus on making your travel dreams come true by handling all reservations, tickets, and insider planning, leaving you free to focus on what matters most: enjoying your trip. Working with Cory was a pleasure for planning and booking our trip. Cory was able to integrate our ideas with her expertise of Japan to give us the style of trip we preferred. From setting us up with local and inter city transportation to helping us experience the cultural elements of Ikebana, lacquerware, cooking, dining, tea ceremony, confection production, and sumo, Cory laid it all out. While traveling through Japan can be tricky and challenging we found Cory's directions, advice, and the trip planning notes and links made our 17 day, 5 city trip very enjoyable.

I am a planner at my core and it was a huge leap of faith to trust someone else to plan the details of my solo trip. Cory exceeded my expectations and delivered an amazing experience in Japan. Cory optimized my long wish list of to dos with enough structure and flexibility to accommodate the unexpected. It was in that flexibility that provide me the opportunity to linger in a bookstore just a little bit longer, or pop into a small local coffee roaster and chat with the owner and learn about the beans he roasted on site and even met his mother who popped in - magic truly occurs in the moments between breaths. And the guides Cory partners with are such amazing people, each of them made the trip so special.

Cory’s in country support continued to provide the level of attention and care that she is known for. No trip or event is flawless but knowing that Cory was there to help solve for those unplanned situations made the trip so much better. I ended up having a few questions and a late train change request that Cory quickly responded to and managed for me - allowing for a seamless experience.

I absolutely cannot wait to go back with my family and work with Cory again. I recommend Cory, with absolute confidence, to partner with you on your trip to Japan.

I’m also really glad the in-country support gave you peace of mind. You’re right—no trip is ever flawless—but knowing someone has your back when plans shift makes all the difference. I appreciate having to ways to see Mt Fuji since Hakone gave us a foggy day when the ropeway wasn’t running. Along our journey people we met often asked about our favorite experience, a question I could not answer because each moment offered something special. That’s a credit to Cory. I do think it would be helpful to tweak itineraries a bit based on seasons as December days are shorter than spring and summer.

Based on our discussions, he put together a full itinerary packed with great activities and excellent hotels. Except for a couple of minor snafus and delays which prevented us from doing everything, the choices Greg made were generally excellent. At our request, Greg arranged for private tours in Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. The hotels selected were generally excellent. He prearranged all train tickets between cities and provided good guidance in explaining how to navigate local transportation. The best guided tours were the Shinjuku food tour (absolutely top notch sushi (I think the guide's name is Takeshi)) and in Kyoto ( our guide Pam was one of the best guides we've ever had - highly engaged, great sense of humor and extremely accommodating). The private tea ceremony and small group session with a geisha (who conversed with us, played a game and performed a traditional dance) in Kyoto were very special and particularly memorable. We found crowds somewhat overwhelming in popular spots in Kyoto and the Hiroshima peace museum (absolutely packed and could not really see the exhibits well). But all-in-all the planned activities were well worth it, and the package was very well organized. One piece of advice - do as much research on your own in advance so that you can make sure any particular items of places of interest will be included in the agenda which can be custom tailored to your interests, and leave some free time in order to relax, explore on your own, etc.

Some of Greg's instructions on how to get places, and what our timing was, were a bit confusing, but he offered to get on a call with us, which we did, and were able to clear up the confusion. So make sure you're clear on all of the details and know where to find what you need either on the KimKim app or from other source given to you by the travel agent.
One of the real highlights was that the company Greg used for our tours (Magical Trips) keeps the groups very small and uses local guides. We got to ask all sorts of questions of the guides and really connected with them, as well as the other person or people who were in our group. Through those conversations we learned the most about Japan's culture and daily life and this really made our trip.

We have returned from a 21 day trip around Honshu, organized by the local specialist, Greg. Normally we plan our own adventures but were overwhelmed by the multitude of possibilities in Japan. Greg provided excellent planning to experience as much as possible, as efficiently as possible, within our time frame. Our trip included a few guided days as well as some local cultural experiences. We particularly enjoyed the kintsugi experience in Kyoto and loved visiting the tea farmer in Uji. For the other days, we had either specific recommendations (which sometimes included train tickets) as well as more loose recommendations for things to do at our leisure and on our own. The combination worked well! All the little details were covered, including a pocket wifi device which proved invaluable. Prior to the trip, Greg was alerted to the endurance/mobility limitations of one of our party and worked to create itineraries which would work with less demanding walking. Having someone in country familiar with the landscapes and distances was very helpful in our specific case. As the trip commenced, that limitation actually increased, but Greg was able to pivot to adapt to the changing needs, primarily consulting with guides to adjust the itineraries when it looked like we wouldn't be able to manage.

This villa is absolutely beautiful, with a sauna as well as indoor and outdoor baths. It is isolated with beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces. The breakfast is delivered in the morning, but was a bit disappointing. I know Japan is a tea culture but there was no coffee (didn't know in advance to buy coffee for the machine). My only problem with it is that it is located way up a hill from the center of Takayama. It's a tough walk back up to the villa. We did take a taxi back to the villa and had to assist the driver to find the villa , even with his gps. Luckily I remembered some visual landmarks to get us to the space!

There is a shuttle to the villa at check in and check out - maybe shuttles at other times? It really is tough to get to on foot.

Excellent location literally across from the fish market and close to bus transportation. Beautiful rooms with large baths.

Excellent location within a few minutes to the train station and center. Smaller rooms but clean and comfortable. We weren't prepared for the tatami mats at breakfast and the low chairs but the food was excellent.

Kyoto

Nishiki Market as included as part of our explorations with a guide. The hype about Nishiki Market I widespread but it was honestly a bit disappointing. It is packed with tourists and barely any locals. The crowds make it tough to even get to some of the stalls. It feels like it was a "necessary" stop but it was so removed from the original market.

Great afternoon exploring the market, including many tastes of the local fish and specialties (gold leaf ice cream!) and then far beyond in the town.

I knew about kintsugi prior to this experience but had no idea about the complexity involved. This was an excellent overview of not only the actual hands-on work but the background of the materials.

It was important to me to make sure everything was comfortable and manageable, especially with the mobility changes that came up. I’m glad we could stay flexible and make those adjustments so the trip could still be enjoyable and smooth.

It was a real pleasure helping you plan this adventure through Japan, and I’m so happy it all came together in a way that felt just right.

Thanks for everything, Greg. We got to see so many spots and stops and there were lots of good recommendations and specific instructions along the way to make everything go smoothly. Pam, our guide in Kyoto, was particularly helpful.
