We loved our guides :: Mohammed who kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the airport in Cairo , Muhmood was our tour guide in Cairo very knowledgeable and so sweet and fun to be with. Both Yusefs on our final day with the tour and drop off at airport were equally amazing! All these men were wonderful, accommodating, smart, and had great personalities - they really made our trip to Egypt special!
Our trip on the Nile was amazing and our guide was very knowledgeable! However, , he lacked a fun and outgoing personality, He only spoke when he was informing us about the sites. This was a let down after our Cairo guides!

Mohammed, our trip manager was amazing and easy to work with. His recommendations were great! We loved all our accommodations and transportation ran very smoothly for us!

I had a great experience working with Habiba! They were very responsive and always willing to be flexible when it came to adjusting plans, which I really appreciated. It made the entire process much easier and less stressful. However, there were a few moments where the itinerary seemed to lack some details, and I had to reach out for clarification. The hot air balloon ride over Luxor was absolutely breathtaking and magical - the stunning views of the Nile River, ancient temples, and the Valley of the Kings below were simply unforgettable. Bedouin Safari and Star Gazing Tour

The Bedouin safari did not meet expectations. It wasn’t quite as advertised, and several aspects of the tour were lacking. The majority of the tour was an ATV ride, so if you choose to do this, be sure to bring a scarf or wear something you don’t mind getting dusty. The camel ride was only about 5 minutes long, just a quick trip towards the mountain and back, and the person taking photos for you will ask for a tip even though the pictures weren’t particularly great. The stargazing was pretty interesting, the astronomer discussed a few of the constellations and pointed out a few planets that we then used the telescope to look at - Saturn was the best. The dinner was as expected, but the show felt more like a random collection of acts. After the dinner and the show, you then drive the ATV back to where you started. Most importantly, it definitely didn't offer that romantic "under the stars, tent" Arabian night feeling we were hoping for. While you can still appreciate the experience for what it is, it didn’t quite live up to the magical atmosphere we envisioned. Overall, I would suggest managing expectations for the Bedouin safari.

Our trip to Egypt and Jordan with KimKim was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Thanks to their detailed arrangements, navigating airports was seamless. Having our own driver and guide throughout the trip allowed us to customize our itinerary on the go, ensuring we could spend more or less time at sites based on our interests. This flexibility, combined with the warm welcome from every guide, driver, and hotel staff member we met, made the journey unforgettable.

The highlights were many. Our guides in both countries were knowledgeable and accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel special. In Jordan, our guide Ramzi surprised us with thoughtful gestures, including a beautiful, warm Jordanian coat, when he noticed I was unprepared for the cold mornings. He also gifted us traditional headscarves and showed us how to wear them, making us feel connected to Jordanian culture. Additionally, KimKim’s efforts to celebrate my mom's birthday throughout the trip were extraordinary. From cakes and traditional songs to stunning gifts, they ensured her day felt truly special.

One of the standout benefits of booking with KimKim is the convenience. While their packages are undoubtedly pricey, the hands-off planning and seamless execution make it well worth the investment. Every detail was handled for us, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our trip without stress.

Some locations were unforgettable must-sees. The Valley of the Kings in Egypt stood out for its breathtaking grandeur and rich history—it’s an experience unlike any other. In Jordan, Wadi Rum was an absolute highlight. The surreal desert landscape, with its towering sandstone mountains and expansive red sands, was mesmerizing. Watching the sunrise and sunset in Wadi Rum felt like stepping into another world—a memory we’ll cherish forever.

That said, there were a few areas for improvement.

As a group of three (my parents and me), accommodations were not consistently handled. At times, I slept on a cot in the same room as my parents, while other nights, I had my own room. Given we chose a premium package, it felt like an oversight not to have my own room throughout the trip. Additionally, the cabin booked for us on the Nile cruise was too small for three people. We spent more time in the cabin than expected during the cruise, and without my mom's intervention to upgrade, it could have made for an uncomfortable experience.

The trip to Abu Simbel was another point of contention. After visiting many incredible temples (Luxor, Horus, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Karnak, and the Valley of the Kings), the 4 a.m. wake-up and six hours of driving for a temple that felt similar to others wasn’t worthwhile for us. The effort and time spent in transit far outweighed the experience, and we wish this had been explained better during planning so we could have opted out.

Tipping in Egypt was also challenging. While we understand the cultural norm, managing small tips for drivers, airport assistants, and bag carriers felt like a constant task. It would have been far more convenient if these smaller tips were included in the package price and handled by our guide. We were happy to manage tips for our primary guides, as it felt more personal, but the smaller tips became a source of stress.

Despite these critiques, KimKim truly excelled in making the experience unforgettable. Their ability to deliver a highly personalized, seamless, and expertly managed trip is unmatched. From thoughtful surprises to the ease of having everything arranged, KimKim allowed us to immerse ourselves fully in the beauty and culture of Egypt and Jordan. Between exploring the ancient wonders of the Valley of the Kings and the stunning, otherworldly landscapes of Wadi Rum, we created memories that will last a lifetime. For anyone looking for a stress-free, curated, and enriching travel experience, KimKim is absolutely worth it. We’ll treasure this trip forever.

I am not a cruise person but I loved this one. We had terrific and fun service and the room ( we had a larger suite) was great! I really enjoyed the cruise and would do that again! The hotel was amazingly clean. I was disturbed on the first day by trash in the ocean on house reef and washed up on shore, We picked up a lot of plastic during our first dive. I am sure they do the best possible to keep it clean but that was a bummer. The other dive sites were better but still had some trash.

This was a hotel that we stayed at 2 separate nights to include a desert tour. The first night was not good. The check-in took 45 mins and our room was tiny and low and a bit dated. We could not get into the hotel lounge and barely got to our room for the sunset, only to find the tiny balcony was locked. While I understand the safety concerns, they should have the bell hop take care of this at time of arrival rather than having us call ( and wait) for separate help, On our second night, we ordered room service and it never came! it turned out they had been knocking repeatedly on another door and blamed us for not answering! When we asked for the order to be resent- they did it again! On our second night, I Sun Pyramids asked them to upgrade us to a better room for our trouble. The suite was great, as was the view of the Nile. Throughout, however, this was the only place we felt like a bother and did not experience the friendliness and service that was excellent throughout the rest of Egypt. The exception was the pool area. They were very nice.

The day tour to visit the Pyramids and Sphinx and the Old Egyptian Museum was great overall. We started in the morning, but had the option to begin earlier. The place gets very busy quickly, and starting earlier would have made the experience better. Despite the crowds, we had an amazing time, and the activity was well-organized.

Our visit to the Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo temples was absolutely brilliant. Originally planned to take the bus, we decided to change to a flight at the last minute, and the team handled it seamlessly. Everything was reorganized without any issues, with new guides greeting us, making the experience at Abu Simbel a dream come true. This flexibility and perfect execution made this part of the trip truly outstanding.

The trip to Edfu, Luxor, and Karnak temples was very nice. Though Karnak was busy by the afternoon, the size of the temple complex made it manageable. Although the crowding wasn't a major issue at Luxor and Karnak, we would have preferred smaller crowds for better photos, but by the time we reached Luxor, the setting sun created a very atmospheric experience, which our guide also appreciated for its perfect timing.

We had a great experience with Kim Kim travels for our 9 day trip to Egypt and Jordan. As mentioned by Amr that we don't have to worry about anything regarding our trip, it was a true statement. Our stay and trip to each location was taken care off and we enjoyed it very well.
We were received by Mr. Mohammed (Samara) on the day of the arrival and till we left Egypt he took care of us. Hospitality was good and didn't feel that we are in a different country. The driver Mr. Mohammed took us to all the places in Egypt. Our tour guide in Cairo Dr. Karam Sharaf took us to the Cairo Museum and to the Pyramids and gave an excellent narration about the History of Egyptian Civilization and the process of mummification.
The Nile cruise was good and enjoyed the visit to Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo Temple. Our guide Mohamed Kamal an Egyptologist explained about the Egyptian Civilization and gave an excellent narration of the importance of all the places he took us. One could feel the depth of knowledge he had about history of all the places he took us. Great person and I will without hesitate recommend him for those who want s to know about the history of the temples in Egypt.
Samara send us off from Cairo to Amman and we had a great experience in staying at Wadi Rum and visiting Petra. Our Driver Mr. Mohamad stayed with us for our entire stay at Amman. He was a great person. Our tour guide at Petra Mr. Mahmood Alfageer took us to the Petra treasury and explained the significance of the treasury on 2 mile trial from the visitor gate. Both Egyptian and Jordan people are very hospitable.
I will strongly recommend Kim Kim travels if you are planning a trip to Egypt and Amman. Enclosed few pictures of our visit.

We had aa wonderful trip to Egypt! From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were in very good hands. The local team took very good care of us in each city. Our accommodations were great, including the Nile cruise. Two things I would do differently: I would make the journey when the temperature are A LOT cooler! We would have enjoyed seeing all of the temples and the pyramids more if we were sweating. :) And I would likely not do just a day trip to Alexandria. It was a 6+ hour round trip ride just to see a couple of things and not even go "into" anything. But overall, we were very pleased with the itinerary!

Very easy planning and booking process on kimkim... Everything happens through messaging which provides history but also an opportunity to respond whenever we have time. Planning recap and comments are useful features in the planning stages. I will use this service again!

We had the most amazing time in Egypt. Ibrahim was able to build a package to suit our itinerary perfectly. We were taken care of by a company called Egypt Promotions. Our guides throughout were fabulous, especially Mohamed for our last two days in Cairo. The drivers and attendants were also faultless. The 4 day boat trip on the Nile was spectacular with all the staff making it so good. We have learned so much in our week and plan to read up some more to better our comprehension of the history of the ancient kings and gods of Egypt.
The only negative comment would be the hotel we stayed in Cairo - Helnan Dreamland - not the accommodation but the staff, especially at the restaurant, who were less than attentive making us get up ourselves to request service and at one time we waited 40 minutes for a bottle of wine because there was no corkscrew to be found. Twice we had restaurant staff knocking at our door at night because they had made mistakes on the bill. We then made a deliberate effort to finalize the account the night before checkout (as we had an early morning pick up) only to be confronted with extra charges, but as we tried to explain we were simply told we could not check out until it was settled and they brought in the heavy weight to make sure we understood!!! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a wonderful trip to Egypt through KimKim! Lareine was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our planning process, and she put together a fabulous itinerary for us that allowed us to see so much of Egypt in 10 days. She made all the bookings per our preferences and made it easy. We started in Cairo (which included a visit to the Great Pyramids), continued to a Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor, and ended the trip at a resort on the Red Sea in Hurghada. Seeing the pyramids and riding camels were definitely highlights, but we really enjoyed the entire trip and it all felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

All of our tour guides, representatives, and drivers gave us very good service and made us feel comfortable. They went above and beyond to help with things like getting through the airport, translating, even just tips and tricks about the culture and sites. Our Cairo tour guide Mohamed Samir in particular did a great job in giving us a personalized experience, adjusting our days based on our interests, what kind of shopping we wanted to do, and what kind of food we wanted to eat. Representative Samara was also great about constantly checking in with us, from our flight in all the way until the end of our trip.  

All of our accommodations were nice, but specifically the Sonesta Nuba in Aswan and the Premier Le Reve in Hurghada were beautiful! We would have loved more time at both. 

The only thing we might not recommend are the sound & light shows at various ruins. They are not that exciting and not necessarily worth the time/price. Also, we unknowingly travelled during Ramadan so we had to contend with some holiday hours at sites and restaurants. We did not miss out on anything because of this, but I'd avoid travelling during Ramadan if possible.

So well organised by Mohammed who was incredibly patience and approachable in helping me organising a trip in which I saw many sides of Egypt from world famous sites that need no introduction to the lesser seen parts where the experience was both unique and memorable. Staring with the Great Pyramids of Giza and the great Egyptian Museum in Cairo followed by a relaxing day to Alexandria on the Mediterranean, guide Ahmed gave me a really good introduction to Egypt both ancient and modern from the Pharaohs to Egypt's role in the modern world, giving a great in depth description of all the sophisticated symbology including the hieroglyphics and exploring ancient Egypt's relationships with ancient Greece and Rome in the amazing Alexandria Catacombs. Ahmed's superb introduction to Egypt provided a great foundation for the next part of my trip which was a Nile Cruise visiting Egypt's great monuments including Abu Simbel, the Kom Obo, Edufu, Philae, Hatshepstut and Karnak Temples and the Valley of the Kings where the guide really brought over 3,000 years of history to life. The hot air balloon trip was also a great recommendation, seeing the valley from above at sunrise.

When planning trips, including this one, I try as best as I can to optimise the experience to the full, including selecting locations that enable this, but often, locations deliver so much more than one anticipates, and this was where the second week of my trip became special, including providing me with a personal 'Triple Crown' of memorable experiences starting with diving in the Red Sea at Hurghada seeing some amazing marine life while feel so assured underwater courtesy of a great instructor, Mohamed Ali, whose instructions were so clear that I felt so calm and assured underwater and got a good command of the scuba equipment, one of the finest diving experiences I have had. From beautiful underwater sites, the next stop was an amazing night sky while camping in the Black Desert, one of Egypt's lesser visited parts, looking so other-worldly, as if it had never been visited. The experience was made extra special by guide Evram who was so friendly and fun. His enthusiasm for camping and the outdoors was so evident, which made me feel safe and welcomed in a thrilling remote location. The Milky Way shone like jewels in the Triple Crown, but the crowning glory though was summiting Mount Sinai at sunset, a special experience. in between the desert safaris recommended by Mohamed were also excellent, especially the camel rides.

The first week was Historic Egypt, and the second was Adventure Egypt, both of which were special experiences which will last a lifetime, including in the stars seen in the Black Desert where the Pharaohs believed their eternity was. Tips for future Egypt trip planners - if visiting the deserts, be sure to get Evram as your guide, as you'll have a great time!

Our tour was the perfect itinerary and number of days for what we were wanting out of our trip to Egypt. We appreciated the help from the Egypt Promotion representative who helped us navigate the Cairo airport quickly. Samara was good about checking in with us through WhatsApp throughout our trip. Our drivers were good in all locations, which was very appreciated in the crazy traffic.

Mohammed was our guide in Cairo and Alexandria and was extremely knowledgeable in the sites we visited, and everything in between, and we learned a lot from him.

Ahmed was our guide during the Nile Cruise and tour stops, and we cannot say enough good things about him! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he was so much fun to tour with, and he made sure our schedule was set up to beat the crowds. He made sure we stayed engaged with everything we learned from temple to temple and offered a lot of fun photo ops to capture our experience. We'd highly recommend him to anyone doing an Egypt tour!

Regarding Egypt Promotion as a tour company, overall our experience was very positive and things were very organized. However, it seemed like many different people were involved at various phases of the tour which didn't really always seem necessary (three different reps from the company who served in a supervisory role as we transitioned to different segments of the tour, separate bag carriers, separate airport helper, separate drivers, etc.) and it just gave us a feeling that we were tipping way more than we expected due to more people being involved. Our preference would be to work with one driver, one tour guide, and one company representative for the duration of the tour.

Our family had an awesome trip to Egypt and Jordan. As a family of 5 (kids aged 16, 14 & 13) we experienced some difficulties securing hotel rooms and had to get involved with larger hotel chains to book ourselves. Otherwise, the planning was excellent and smooth. Our tour guides and drivers were excellent! There was no time during our trip where we felt anything but completely safe and cared for. Mohamed planned every last detail to maximize our experiences with the level of activity that we desired. Everything far exceeded our expectations.

Steigenberger Legacy Nile Cruise

I spent two nights on the Nile Cruise in both Luxor and Aswan. The cruise was smooth, the tour guides were great, and the experience was enjoyable. The activities on the cruise were well-organized, and I particularly enjoyed the trip to Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples. Overall, a fantastic experience on the Nile Cruise.

Petra Moon Hotel

I had a one-night stay at Petra Moon Luxury Hotel and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and conveniently located for exploring Petra. The staff was friendly, and the amenities were good. A decent place to stay for a short visit to Petra.

Aladdin Camp

Wadi Rum, Aqaba

The visit to Petra and the subsequent stay at the Camp was a seamless transition. Exploring the ancient city of Petra followed by a night at the camp in Wadi Rum offered a blend of history and nature. A well-coordinated itinerary for a memorable experience.

The private Felucca Ride on the Nile with lunch was a serene and picturesque experience. Sailing on the Nile while enjoying a delicious meal was a highlight of my trip. The peaceful ambiance and scenic views made it a memorable outing.

What a trip! From the first planning stages till the last day of the trip, everything was as close to perfect as possible. Habiba Mohamed from Sun Pyramids Tours planned the trip for me after I mentioned what I thought I might like to see. She made some suggestions that I agreed upon and she also communicates very well and I was always kept up to date. My trip included Cairo, Aswan and Luxor. Hotels were arranged as well as in- country flights. But the best part was the guides and drivers. Habiba arranged them for me...I was met at airports, hotels and returned and always on time. the guides are a special breed. They all seemed to be "Egyptologists" having gone to school to learn more about their country and its history. Great detail, knowledge and passion from all of them. Special mention in Cairo to Ahmed Ibrahim, in Luxor to Ahmed Amin and in Aswan, Ahmed Amin. These men were personable, had great English skills, but more importantly, they all had a vast knowledge of Egypt, it's history, all the dynasties, periods, individual pharaohs and kings, what they did or did not accomplish during their reign and where they are buried. They are very proud of their country and its civilization. A pleasure to listen to and learn from. And a special mention to my driver in Cairo for a few days, Ahmed Zaher. Driving in Cairo is special as there are really no rules and all the cars dance with each other so closely...you really don't understand why they don't hit each other...but, Ahmed was amazing. An incredible trip planned almost perfectly!
