As you walk through the sanctuary, you'll see species such as monkeys, sloths, macaws, and reptiles while learning about their rescue stories and the center's mission to return as many animals as possible to the wild.

You'll then travel inland toward the lush Talamanca region, passing through the Bribri Indigenous Reserve. Here you'll visit Bribri artisan, Doña Petronilla, and explore "Chocolate House." You'll observe as she roasts, grinds, and mixes cacao to make chocolate in multiple forms, which you'll get to sample and even purchase as a treat for later.

The day rounds out with a stop at the scenic Dos Aguas waterfall.
