What you'll do

This flavorful stroll around one of Paris' most romantic neighborhoods begins when you join your guide at the meeting point in Montmartre, located in the city's northern 18th arrondissement. Start an uphill walk along winding cobbled streets lined with charming, pastel-colored buildings as your guide shares fascinating anecdotes about the area's transformation from a small village to a vibrant Parisian district. Learn about its bohemian heyday, when leading intellectuals and Impressionist artists frequented its sidewalk cafés and raucous cabarets, and see spots immortalized in famous paintings and films.

As you work up an appetite exploring the famously steep streets, your guide will lead you through hidden alleys and across leafy squares to find some of its best patisseries, cafés, and artisan food shops. You might step into a traditional fromagerie to taste regional cheeses, sample freshly baked bread at a local boulangerie, nibble on the finest handmade chocolates or macarons, and sip a glass of wine at a classic brasserie. Along with multiple stops for tastings and treats, you'll also get the chance to take in some of the best views of the city (and grab a memorable selfie) at the hilltop Sacré-Cœur Basilica.
