What you'll do

You'll be picked up from your accommodations and transferred to the entrance of Sky Walk for this 2.5-hour tour.

Meet your naturalist guide, who will tell you about the forest's ecosystem and resident wildlife. Then you'll take off on a relaxing 2-mile (3-km) hike along a series of trails and five suspension bridges, some reaching 230 feet (70 meters) above the forest floor. The bridges vary in length from 115 feet (35 meters) to 470 feet (143 meters). Travelers should expect to walk up and down hills to get between the various bridges.

Your guide will point out flora and fauna along the walk, including various birds and insects, as well as the distinct "layers" of the forest. You'll also pass two waterfalls, the taller of which is 82 feet (25 meters). You'll climb some steps and do some uphill walking around the waterfalls. Keep your eyes open for monkeys, birds, snakes, and more.

After completing the walk, you'll head back to your hotel in La Fortuna.

Saw howler monkeys, snakes, spiders and other critters.
Our guide Maria seemed to be in a hurry to return home and did not continue with us to the waterfall (half of the tour). Nature was beautiful.
