Whales of Iceland Museum in Reykjavik, Reykjavík

Overview

Enjoy visiting the Whales of Iceland Museum in Reykjavik. It features an exhibition with 23 artificial life-size models of the various whale species found in Icelandic waters throughout its natural history. You'll view an 82-foot-long (25-m) blue whale, a full-size sperm whale, the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale, and many more. See them all in their actual size!

Each whale was modelled after an actual whale in the ocean and features their personal markings and characteristics. The models are also soft, squishy and fun to touch, all painted by hand.
