Bandipur was simply gorgeous - it was like being on a movie set, it was so unreal! Chitwan was unforgettable - hugging and feeding the elephants was simply a dream come true! We actually were fortunate enough to receive a blessing from a Hindu Living Goddess on our last day! I could go on forever - it was THAT amazing and so well planned out! And we learned SO much from Rajive! Our drivers were wonderfully skilled in navigating the rocky unpaved roads! It was perfect! We are already planning our next trip with Kim Kim! 🙏 Dhanyabad! ❤️

She is very social and fun, and clearly knows the trail and accommodations very well. The circuit itself was stunning and everyday had different environment, views, and cultural villages. We were super happy with our booking through kimkim because we also felt it was more organized than other groups on trail and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The itinerary was very flexible and allowed for changes due to weather conditions or personal preference which was super nice as well. All in all, would definitely use Kimkim/Himalayan Trails again!

What a great introduction to Nepal. My trip was so well organized and each place I stayed was unique with friendly hosts. What a great introduction to Nepal. My trip was so well organized and each place I stayed was unique with friendly hosts. Waking to Mountains in Nagarkot day 1 was amazing followed my 4 days of hiking up and down lush, terraced valleys with my amazing guides, Mingma and Dorze. I loved making Nepali food with Christina and Maya at Mata Chen, such a beautiful place to stay. My final day biking from Panouti to Kathmandu with my incredible guide Usha was surreal. He was so knowledgeable, and his humor and overall personality made us feel like Nepal was home for the week. He is definitely one of the reasons my teenage son got so much out of "the best vacation ever". We have been home for over a week, and we still miss Nepal, Rajive, and all of the wonderful people we met along the way. We will definitely be back to visit and explore more of the beauty of Nepal; this trip changed us all forever and we are so thankful for the pictures and memories that will remind us that we need to get back sooner than later!

This trip was fantastic thanks to our guides and porters. They were some of the kindest people we met while in Nepal and were incrediblely knowledgeable about anything we had questions about. Himalayan Trails oversaw all of our trek and there was very little we needed to do besides hike. The mountains, people, and culture of Nepal will be an unforgettable part of the world for me moving forward! I can't wait to go back again!

From start to finish the planning and execution by the team was amazing. I did the 4 day trek up to Muldai and back down through Ghorepani, my guide Wanchhu was great throughout, making sure everything ran smoothly. Kripa was in constant communication and always made sure everything was answered when I had questions. Big thank you to Sushmita as well who went out of her way to get my phone back when I left it in a cab on the first day. This team really goes the extra mile and I will be definitely be using kimkim in the future and recommending it to other people.

My recent trip (mid-March 2023) to Nepal was perfectly executed with help from Amanda at Himalayan Trails and the best guide you could hope for, Dawa. The guided site-seeing in Kathmandu was the perfect start to the trip, and provided a great deal of context around the culture and religions of Nepal before setting out on our trek. We explored the Nar-Phu valley for a week, which was incredible. For those looking for an off-the-beaten-path trek with few other people on the trails and a unique look back in time, this is the place for you. We then returned to the main Annapurna Circuit for a side-trip up to Tilicho Lake. Seeing the highest lake in the world was an absolute highlight. This truly was an incredible trip, made all the more easy by the seamless communication with Amanda. I also cannot speak highly enough about Dawa, who was extremely knowledgeable, adaptable to my needs, and also a great trekking companion who I shared many cups of tea and card games with along the way :) I would recommend KimKim, Himalayan Trails, and Dawa to anyone. We had an amazing experience winter hiking the Himalayas for 2 weeks. From booking with Amanda and guiding by Tendu Sherpa, we were well looked after. Tendu Sherpa and our equally wonderful Kathmandu in-town guide were both terrific. Professional, kind, knowledgeable. And, importantly, fun.

Tendu Sherpa, for example, went above and beyond to care for our experience starting with our flight into Lukha and on our winter "off-season" trek to Ama Dablam basecamp. He gave us the gift of a glimpse into the beautiful Sherpa community and culture, including guiding us through a Sherpa museum with a family prayer room, sharing stories of his own family, and introducing us to extended family in Namche Bizar. In one beautiful and unexpected moment, our 12-year-old daughter had the chance to play and draw and laugh with 4-year-old girl, Ang Sherpa, and hear Ang Sherpa sing "Frozen".

We lucked out on the 6-day trek with blue skies and clear long views. We also got to visit schools, like the Hilary School, and monasteries.

Back in Kathmandu, we mountain biked and saw more OF the city and the local hills that we otherwise would have. In short, our trip was incredible. We felt safe, welcomed, supported and inspired throughout.

My trip to Nepal through Kimkim was spectacular. I usually make all of my own arrangements as it can be difficult to find companies who cater to solo travelers, so finding this company was exciting. From my start with Erin being so patient helping me form the perfect itinerary, to Krishna helping me while I was in Nepal, my trip was seamless. I’m already looking to book my next trip with them! 5/5 stars for kimkim!

Our guide was nice and helpful but unfortunately didn't know the area so well having only been there twice before, and encouraged us to add a section to our trek that she hadn't previously done and was keen to do, but which turned out to be far too challenging for us - so I suggest checking with Amanda in advance how well your guide knows the area. The porter and drivers we had were very good. Overall a great trip.

Our guide, Wang Chu, and porter, Neema , we’re first rate. I think one of the most important things a guide can do is understand his clients and Wang Chu was able to do that very quickly. He made adjustments throughout the trip that catered to what we were looking for and made our experience unbelievable. We often times felt like we were the only ones on the circuit and saw things I know other groups did not get to witness.

The trek itself was difficult at times but rewarding in every instance. The scenery was spectacular and Wang Chu taught us a great deal about the culture, livelihood and history of the Nepalese people as we trekked from village to village. What a great classroom and teacher!

I am glad we chose the Manislu circuit and I would recommend that to anyone interested in trekking the Himalayans. It offered a good challenge, varied landscapes and what felt like a relatively less travelled path.
