We had an amazing time in El Chalten and Ushuaia. Erin was very patient in organising things to suit our interests, and dealt with lots of changes and tweaks as we finalised our flight details and other parts of our month long trip elsewhere. Highlights were our treks in El Chalten (delicious lunches delivered to our hotel each morning) and walking with the Penguins on the Isla Martillo. We didn't really see much of Buenos Aires as being December 31/January 1 as most places were closed (had we known we might have chosen to spend out time elsewhere on those days). The accomodation was excellent throughout as were our guides Laura and Martin in Ushuaia. The scenery from El Chalten to Ushuaia is spectacular and we would go back in an instant.

Vain Boutique Hotel

Modern boutique hotel with very comfortable beds, great aircon (essential in BA), well equipped and roomy bathroom and all very clean. Nice options for breakfast and good coffee. Nicolas on the front desk was a treasure. My only point would be that the rooms are quite noisy and we could clearly hear people in the room above, and were woken several times by people returning to their rooms late.

Very comfortable and clean hotel with great breakfast options. We had a quiet room facing the side of the building (rooms facing the roads may not be so quiet) and found the rooms to be quite spacious. Bathroom was nice and roomy too. It was great to be able to adjust the heating to our taste (not always the case in hotels).

Mixed feelings on this trek - the view at the end was absolutely spectacular so well worth the effort, and the walk through varied landscapes to get there was also appreciated.

It was such a special experience to walk among the penguins, and learn about their lives. It was reassuring to hear how protected they are despite the tourism (their numbers are growing, a good sign) and our guide Pablo was perfectly strict about respecting them and their environment, which I really appreciated. A long boat trip there, for part of which we did see seals and cormorants, and a long bus trip back (great for a nap) but all worth it for the experience.

Full Day of Hiking in Tierra del Fuego National Park

Laura was an excellent guide on this fascinating overview of the history, flora and fauna of the national park, which is truly beautiful. Personally would have preferred one long hike as opposed to driving between three shorter walks but this is a personal preference. My recommendation would be to ask for more details of the day before confirming (which is what I wish I had done)

Full Day Perito Moreno Glacier

El Calafate

The glacier itself is of course spectacular, and we appreciated being able to walk around and enjoy the numerous pathways at our own pace. The sounds of the glacier was also amazing surprise - did not expect it and when we could find a quieter section to sit and listen was quite humbling.

From the very beginning, Mica guided us through every step of planning our trip to Argentina. Her support was incredible clear, attentive, and always making sure every detail was taken care of so our trip would be perfect.

When we arrived in Buenos Aires, we couldn’t believe the surprise: we had a shuttle to the hotel with a guide! Agostina welcomed us with such warmth that she immediately set the tone for our entire stay. She helped us with the check-in, reviewed the itinerary with us, and even talked about music and Argentine rock her recommendations were amazing. She truly made us feel at home.

The drivers who took us around were also wonderful. The entire SayHueque team made us feel like Buenos Aires was our home, and that made all the difference. They were always checking in, suggesting places to visit, and making sure everything went perfectly.

The tours were unforgettable. Our biking tour guide Patricio (he was the best!) introduced us to mate for the first time, shared local stories, and made us feel like true locals. We had so much fun! The bikes were really good too, we even got luck and got to ride on a Bamboo bike. The next day, Agostina surprised us again with an amazing walking tour full of history, fun facts, interesting songs related to the “Porteño culture” and great suggestions. We left completely amazed. Even with a huge surprise for my husband who was looking for a tshirt of a local argentine show from 30 years ago, and they were still able to do their magic!!

And to end our trip on the highest note: a tango dinner show. Front-row seats, delicious wine, incredible food, it was magical!

She failed to respond multiple times nd the trip was not private as we discussed.

Overall ... good but not great.

Booked through kimkim but local planning through Mater Travel. I am not sure exactly how the information flow goes between the two but some thoughts.

1. Our local contact Justo from Mater Travel was great. Very attentive and prompt. Great energy. Always willing to help.

2. Some gaps in our bookings which we were surprised about. I had assumed using a travel agent would have made this seamless. I think I could have organized some of this equally well just using google.

a. We happened to stumble (11 days before the trip) that an evisa was needed for Brazil part of Iguazu Falls. I would have thought our agent through kimkim would have been more proactive to tell us this. Thankfully my wife looked this up and then we feverishly submitted our documents. We would have wasted 1 day in Iguazu otherwise.

b. Our plane arrived at 10:40am after overnight flight from US to Buenos Aires. Pick up was arranged at 10:50am. Lunch experience scheduled for 12:30pm. Of course, clearing immigration and deplaning does not take 10 minutes. And we were late to our lunch by 30 min. Again ... we noticed this and not kimkim.

c. Hotel Hunidad Obelisco is a nice hotel in a very ok (being generous) street. Even our local contact Justo said that he would have to talk to the company about booking there again. Why was this a surprise for everyone? I feel like I could have booked a better location myself.

d. One of our excursions changed ... and it was never mentioned to us. Again, I guess we should have checked ... but assumed a travel agency would have proactively mentioned.

3. Iguazu was great.

5. Tigre Delta good for 24 hrs for our family.

Great trip loved everything. we really enjoyed ourselves, The guides were friendly, personable and very informative. Everything in country was excellent and very fun!

My only complaint, is that at the time of planning the trip, I feel it was not made clear at all, that I was responsible to try to book and pay for all the domestic flights (AFTER paying for the total trip in FULL)- meaning that some of the already paid for tours would be missed due unavailability of flights. One of the most significant reasons I utilized your company to begin with, was to avoid doing all that myself. However, to be fair, even though I felt misled then abandoned (after payment in full) by the initial in country planning agent, after vociferous complaints to your Colorado headquarters the situation was resolved. My concerns were not at all about cost (money was never an issue). I just felt it wasn't clear. If I had understood, I would have just said please do the domestic flight booking and just include it in the total price.
But it all worked out in the end!

One of most memorable vacations that my family and I have had, thanks to Mery Morelli and her team, notably, Luciana Franchi.

Mery supported me through the process of planning our travels in Patagonia, providing necessary information and options to customize the trip based on our likes and dislikes. The process entailed several iterations from my side but Mery was extremely patient and worked with me to finalize the itinerary. Once the itinerary was confirmed, Luciana helped with several logistics related details and even with last minutes adds to the itinerary (Buenos Aires Tango Show and Santiago City Tour).

Everything worked like clockwork! The team tracked our flights, sent us alerts, and were there to pick up us up at the airports. Everyone we interacted with was professional, pleasant, and had showed a passion for what they do. Our travel guides (Natalia, Romina, and Paulina) were super knowledgeable and ensured we got the most out of the tours.

Altogether, an exceptional experience and I highly recommend this team for anyone planning a trip to South America.

TripAdvisor reviews are spot on - the hotel is in an incredible location, the rooms are clean and well maintained. My overall hotel rating is a 3/5 because of the service in the restaurants and pool bar. Each engagement was a challenge, from ordering a beer and waiting 30 minutes (at the pool tiki bar) or for 2 of our 3 breakfasts the buffet ran out of eggs and other items. This is unacceptable for a “5 star hotel”. The breakfast setting was chaos.

KimKim provided an excellent service from start to finish. Initialy listening carefully to what we were looking for, Flor and then Anahi provided an itinerary which was varied and perfect, suggesting things we would not have thought of and arranging activities that we would not have been able to do ourselves, such as a private tango lesson and visit to a local Milonga in Buenos Aires.
Every pick up worked perfectly and the communication during the trip was particularly good, with WhatsApp messages answered quickly, so we felt fully supported whilst traveling, but also enough freedom and independence to do our own thing. The hotels were a perfect standard. All in good locations, of a good standard, but more boutique than fancy, which is exactly what we asked for.
It is hard to note highlights, as there were so many! We both loved Brazil, which actually was a big surprise. We went there as an easy entry from the UK, but fell in love with it. The Brazilians are so friendly, and the whole atmosphere there is light and happy and energetic, with music and dancing everywhere. And prices are very reasonable!
Iguazo Falls is astonishing. After being amazed at the Argentinian side, we were perplexed by what we could see from the Brazilian side that was different. But is was different! The power of the falls was so close and you could really see the huge expanse. Such an amazing experience!
Buenos Aires was a joy, with beautiful weather so we could walk around, and an amazing tango show. Doing a bike tour to see some of the city was a great idea and the ranch trip we did was such fun!
El Calafete was a highlight due to the glacier trip and beautiful weather. We met many people who had not trecked the glacier as they were not aware that their trip did not include this, or they were not aware it was possible, as there are so many types of trip sold. We were absolutely delighted to have trekked on the glacier and it was a big highlight of the holiday, so thank you, KimKim, for arranging this! The ranch trip was different to the one in BA, and we really loved the variety.
El Chalten was trecking and camping time and one for the serious walkers. So a change of scene again, before heading back to lovely Rio for a night before returning home.
An amazing trip and a level of organization and support that we have not experienced before!

The level of service at this boutique hotel is really exceptional. The staff wer delightful, helpful and attentive and the rooms are gorgeous with beautiful views. The breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is a little too far out of town to walk, hence I did not give it 5 stars, however a taxi ride into town is only £3 each way, and because it is a little outside of town, it does mean we were one of the last pick-ups and first drop offs from any trips - a few more minutes in bed in the morning and home earlier than others at the other end of town!

But just enjoyed watching everyone else and getting to understand the etiquette of the dance.

This was an interesting trip. We were pleased to have done it as it clearly marked out the intersection between Paraquay, Brazil and Argentina, however we were disappointed that there was no commentary at all to tell us what we were seeing - not even a 'welcome on board'. That said, we were the only English speakers on the boat as far as we could tell, so any commentary was likely to be in Spanish, however we understand a little! For instance, at some point the dancing, with a Tango demonstration, and singing, started downstairs, but we are not sure when that happened. As we travelled back we thought we would look downstairs, only to discover that the show had already started and we had missed a lot.

The planning and booking process with Claudia was smooth and easy. She accommodated all requests and changes swiftly, making the experience stress-free. The local provider, Andrea and team, along with all the guides, were excellent — professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout. The customer service team was also very responsive and easy to work with.

One area for improvement would be the limited selection of lodging options. I would have liked to see more variety and better-quality accommodations, as well as more thorough vetting by kimkim, particularly in the Iguazú area. My experience at Village Cataratas Hotel was disappointing. Although advertised as a 4-star property, the rooms and amenities lacked basic essentials and were not well maintained. The room had a broken lock (which the local provider promptly helped resolve) and an air conditioner that could not be regulated despite having a remote control.

I understand this was not a luxury option, but I did expect the basic standards to be met. Overall, the trip was well organized and supported, but accommodation quality in certain areas could be improved.

My experience at Village Cataratas Hotel was unfortunately disappointing. While the location is great for visiting Iguazú Falls and the surrounding area, the hotel itself does not live up to its 4-star rating. The rooms and amenities were lacking basic essentials and were not well maintained. My first room had a broken door lock, which thankfully the local provider helped resolve quickly. However, the air conditioner could not be regulated, making the room uncomfortable despite having a remote control. Overall, the property has potential, but it would greatly benefit from better maintenance, attention to detail, and quality control to meet the standards expected of its advertised category.

A wonderfull trip involving stops in Buenos Aires (2x), El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza and Iguazu Falls. Knowledgeable, nice, helpful, caring and all-over perfect guides everywhere including Flo in BA, Martin in Bariloche and Alex at the Falls. Camila, our local specialist, arranged all the transfers, trips, events, sightseeings, airline bookings, hotels, etc with great precision and to our liking.

Carolina is excellent to work with. She was patient and thoughtful throughout the process. I was planning the trip for my older parents and she made many modifications and assisted me in making the right plans to accommodate their needs. My parents had a wonderful experience. The guides were kind and helpful especially the guides crossing the lakes in Patagonia. They enjoyed the trip tremendously. Thank you Caro and team!

We loved the trip from start to finish. Matias was very helpful during the planning process. Available to answer questions and steer us towards activities we sought. Jorge, our guide on site, was wonderful. Smart, kind, patient. The landscapes were out of this world. We loved all.

Great trip and wonderful schedule prepared by Kim Kim.Everyone was punctual. I would let people know about weight limits on domestic airlines .We were able to leave a suitcase behind in one of the hotels and pick up on way back.All reservations and guides amazing! Felt safe and well taken care of.

I had an amazing trip to Argentina. The guides were wonderful: Sandra, Carlos, Timothea, Marciano, Lucas - were all just fantastic. The hotels were in great locations with all of the rooms above par with great service.

Everything was what I expected it to be. I loved the tours of the Falls both from the Brazil and Argentina side. The bird park was fantastic. The Peninsula Valdes is just so special. Loved the whale watching boat tour and watching the whales from the beach. I came home with thousands of pictures.

We were very happy with Camila and kimkim for our Argentina trip. This was our first experience using kimkim and our expectations were exceeded during every step: itinerary planning, detailed information on the Vamoos app, and Camila's prompt follow-up on questions during the trip, for example, flight updates. We were particularly impressed with the five guides in each of the cities we visited. Of course each person was welcoming and knowledgeable, but beyond that, they were also very open, funny, thoughtful, and so proud of Argentina. Our guide in Salta, Juan R., went above and beyond by giving us a lovely highlight video of our drive from Salta to Cafayte.

The overall trip was amazing and we will recommend kimkim to our friends and family.

Villa Vicuña Hotel Boutique in Salta was our favorite accommodation. It was a charming, small colonial-style hotel, beautifully decorated, and the ambiance was just lovely. Despite some noise that bothered my friend in a room at the front, we stayed in a quieter room at the back, and it was perfect.

La Reserva Virgin Lodge de Selva looked amazing from the pictures, but the reality was quite different. The room we were given was old and not clean, unlike the new rooms shown on the website. Although the service was prompt when I raised the issue, it was late at night and not convenient to switch rooms. The staff was friendly, but the initial mismatch in expectations was disappointing.

He created a wonderful video of our journey, complete with stops and pictures along the way, which was a unique and memorable touch. The drive itself was beautiful, and his attention to detail made it a standout experience.
