Guide Danielle excellent, good historical knowledge

The two waterfall stops were good, but the distillery not much to see.

Lots of swimming

We did Christ the Redeemer visit and Sugar Loaf trips on different days, and I would recommend that, as they are the two most amazing experiences and needed time to appreciate. So the old town could be added on one of those days

Luis guide recommended. He showed us the old library, go and see. Also craft shops and painters studio

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Soneca Plaza in São Paulo. It was located right in the heart of the old town, which made it a perfect spot for a tourist like me who loves to walk around and explore. The hotel itself was quite modest, as per my preference. There wasn't much of a reception area, but the front desk staff was efficient and helpful. The food was decent with good fruit juices, and good breads and rolls. They also offered breakfast, which added to the convenience.

My stay at Hotel Le Massilia in Belém was satisfactory. It was located about a mile from the heart of things, which I didn't mind as I enjoy walking. There were plenty of places to find food and water nearby. The hotel had a pool which I used every day because of the hot and humid weather. Overall, while it was good, it was not as centrally located as I would have preferred.

The Sandis Mirante Hotel in Santarém was fine. It was located in a smaller town, on a hill and provided easy access to various areas. I enjoyed the fact that I could walk down to the waterfront area using the steps or take a longer, more gradual route. The hotel was modest with a small front desk and no real lobby, which suited my needs perfectly. There were also plenty of eating places within walking distance.

My stay at the Hotel Saint Paul in Manaus was excellent. The hotel was probably the nicest of all the ones I stayed in. It was located very close to the heart of Manaus, near the Opera House area. The hotel was more upscale with a lobby area, couches, a TV, a nice pool, exercise equipment and a business center. Its location made it easy to walk to different restaurants and attractions.

My experience at the Hotel Belo Alter in Alter do Chão was not as positive. The place was a 45-minute drive from Santarém and there wasn't much to see or do there. The hotel itself seemed to be trying to be a luxury resort, but it fell short. The room was nice enough, but there was a lot of deferred maintenance and the beach area was not very appealing due to low water levels. The location wasn't ideal either, being a 30-minute walk from the town.

The pool is too small. Not for swimming but sit in to cool and drink.

Overall review: Good location, not really a 4 stars as it claims. It does not provide water and have no kettle or coffee maker in the room; it has a good size swimming pool and good restaurant to dine in. We rate it as 3 stars hotel.

Good location: beside of a city park. Good restaurant in front of hotel . Not many restaurant near by. I would rate this hotel as a 3 stars. NO free bottle water in the room either.

it is definitely not a 4 stars hotel. No free water bottle in the room. Hotel restaurant is not great. Next door has an Agentina restaurant which has excellent steak with very good price.

We landed in Belo Horizonte and was pick up by the driver and a tour guy who did not even offer to help us with luggages. We has only 2 carryon and 2 napbacks but it was a very long walk from the airplan to the parking. Our tour guy was a very old man whom mumbling that we could not understand a word he said then he yelled as my husband when my husband complained about no good air condition in the car. We was upset and asked to go straight to our hotel in Ouro Preto: forget about the tour. We was glad that Kimkim change our tour guy the next day. The car air condition was fixed the next day as well. Our driver was great with all the steep hills in Ouro Preto.

The lodge was a great place to visit the Amazon. Everyone was so helpful. Alex our guide and Adriel the manager made sure every day was as good as it could possibly be.

The city tour was informative and enjoyable, although the guide's English was limited. I was able to communicate fine as I speak Portuguese, but this might be a challenge for non-Portuguese speakers. Overall, the guide was punctual, helpful, and knowledgeable.

This hotel is gorgeous and luxurious! Wonderful service. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well as a celebratory dinner at Mee. A great way to start our trip.

It is AMAZING to be right in the park and able to get started visiting the falls before anyone else! Beyond that, just a fantastic hotel. We enjoyed sitting by the pool drinking champagne and fresh coconut water. We did a cachaca tasting, which I highly recommend. Wonderful breakfast. I could have happily stayed there for several more days!

This hotel was nice and comfortable -- a good stop on either side of visiting the Amazon. The pool was relaxing. I would happily stay here again if I happened to be in Manaus. It is more of a stop than a destination, though, which is why I give it 4 stars when compared to the amazing other hotels where we stayed (5 stars have to mean something!). I had a very nice massage, and they were very accommodating when we needed breakfast earlier than their usual hours.

This jungle lodge is really amazing. Way out in the middle of nowhere, you really feel like you get an authentic experience. The lodge is nice, but rustic, which is a great break from the rest of the world. All of our excursions were fantastic -- I got to hold a sloth!! I loved floating in the river "pool." The food was really good (even better than I was expecting). It also was very enjoyable to meet tourists from all over the world all hanging out in the Amazon.

I absolutely loved Hurricane Jeri! The hotel is beautiful, lush and green. The staff was incredibly helpful, setting up a WhatsApp to provide tips and services. Breakfast was good, the pool was nice. And the location is wonderful -- a tiny bit away from the bustle of "downtown," but you're there in 5 minutes.

Easily the best place we stayed in Brazil. Lovely rooms with great use of space. Breakfast buffet was excellent and relaxing. If you stay in main hotel area closer to the entrance I'd recommend a 2nd-floor room as the nice wooden floors tend to create a lot of noise.

Very nice hotel with especially good breakfast buffet in Copacabana and right on the beach. This is more of a large corporate hotel and doesn't really have a lot of character but the staff was friendly and the room very comfortable. The beach view didn't hurt either. It's about a 20 minute walk to neighboring Ipanema where most of the nicer shops and restaurants are and, if I were to do this trip again, would prefer to stay in that area (though there are fewer hotels there).

The Hotel Villa Bahia in Salvador was a beautiful place. It's located right in the old part of town among the colonial buildings, which gave it a unique charm. The rooms and the building were gorgeous and the staff was very helpful. However, it was a bit of a ghost town due to the time of year we visited, which detracted from the overall experience.

This was a quick overnight so it was more of a short stay than an experience. It's a corporate-type building and we didn't spend much time there. Though the service was great, I can't give much feedback on the overall environment or amenities.

The resort was quite nice. We didn't have any issues during our stay. The environment was pleasant and the service was up to the mark

The Casa de Santo Antônio Hotel de Charme in Parnaíba was a beautiful hotel. It's a converted hospital and school which added to its charm. We only stayed for a night so didn't get to fully experience it, but from what we saw, it was lovely.

Unique visit into a favela and hike to top of prominent peak overlooking Rio. To start we rode on the backs of motorcycles to get to the top of the favela, where the hike started, and then walked through it on the way down. This is not an easy hike. It's not particularly dangerous but there are some somewhat steep areas and it can take a good hour to get to the top. Bring plenty of water, especially on a hot day, and decent shoes (no flip-flops).

Beautiful trip through the delta on a speedboat to see a variety of birds and crabs. Culminates at sunset with a spectacular congregation of red guarás on a small island. Driving back through delta in near total darkness was oddly calming (if a bit scary). Boat driver was excellent.

Bumpy long ride to get to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park but, wow, so worth it. Stunning initial views of endless white dunes with blue lagoons nestled in between. You can easily find your own private swimming areas and wander into the sand.

We had a full-day tour in Old Rio which was overall interesting. However, there were moments when the tour guide was following us a bit too closely, especially in the shopping areas. It would have been more comfortable to have some space to explore on our own.

We did some sightseeing in Salvador which was quite enjoyable. The city is beautiful and has a lot to offer.

This tour was slightly repetitive, especially after the national park tour. It was a bit less interesting. It would have been nice to have some time to explore on our own.

Comfortable rooms, abundant buffet meals and knowledgeable guides on hikes and open van rides through this expansive ranch/eco-lodge where wildlife (emus, capybaras, caimans, monkeys, many birds and the occasional jaguar) mingle with the cattle and horses.

Everything about the lodge was great except for the initial transfer. There was a several hour wait for the ferry but the guide chose a non ac car (it had ac but they wouldn't turn it on, maybe broken? I asked and they said no). Which in the heat was absolutely miserable. A warning to purchase cold water or something would've helped butac would've been better. Anyways, the lodge itself was great. Delicious food. Great staff. Our guide Lima was amazing. Very knowledgeable. Made us things from the rainforest. Showed us plenty of wildlife. Really had a great time with him.

Wonderful service, including on arrival. Prime location, one block from Ipanema Beach, and great access to local restaurants and shops. Room had A/C and was extremely comfortable, with hotel-provided toiletries, bidet, and very clean bathroom. Wonderful amenities including free bike rental for biking around town and nearby Lagoa and included a la carte gourmet breakfast. Restaurant on site with Happy Hour was a plus.

Incredible, small guesthouse in the heart of Pantanal. Local food prepared by local staff was fresh and prompt. Room with A/C was extremely comfortable, with mosquito nets provided. Staff was kind, courteous, and accommodating. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Loved hitting the high points of Rio in this well-planned tour. A bit disappointed to not see Christ the Redeemer during morning sun (was saved until afternoon, when weather was very foggy). A good amount waiting for pick-ups and for other guests. Wish that drinks (even just water) could have been included with the included lunch meal (which wasn't until after 3 p.m.)

Incredible viewing experience of the falls and experienced guide, Fouad. Our day seeing the Brazilian side falls from the walkway was rushed due to the plane's (on-time) arrival time, trip to Parque das Aves, and the (optional but which was encouraged) boat tour. We had less than 2 hours at the park, which was not enough time.

Was a nice park but would skip if allows more time (at least 3 hours) at the Falls!

Incredible day seeing the falls via private car/tour. Guide, Fouad, was very knowledgeable about the pacing of the walk and high points. He also accommodated an add-on trip to see Paraguay!

Prompt pick- up and sighting of animals along the Transpantaneira.

Horse safari was interesting.

Perhaps the highlight of our time in Brazil! A full day of driving and boat safari to see the big cats! Incredible guides, and close-up photos. Not to miss!

Morning Torre walk was calm but nothing exciting.

Wonderful trip to Tijuca, stopping at main vistas and high points. Enjoyed the botanical gardens but the forest more.

Remote, intimate, and great chance to enjoy nature! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful time. The rooms were neat and clean, food was amazing, and the staff always helpful no matter what you required! Saw lots of animals, the trips on the river were beautiful and amazing! Even the night in the jungle was great with the hammock and mosquito net!

This was our favorite place of all to stay. The set up was lovely and thoughtful, the room was very clean and there was much choice for breakfast.

The trip to the Amazon was our highlight and the set up of Tupana Lodge and the friendliness of the staff were incredible.
