We can’t stop thinking about our amazing 12 day adventure in Egypt. The five star treatment started before we left with clear timely communication and trip description and continued to our last day with the airport transport, a super professional team that planned and thought out every detail of our trip to make it effortless on our part and feel very well taken care of .
We loved Cairo of course the pyramids were amazing, but just as wonderful were the museums, Coptic Cairo and the sights and sounds of the bazaar were a highlight. Mira Wagdy our Egyptologist guide lead us through the city like a pro, she passed on so much knowledge and was an absolute pleasure.
Then we moved on to our Nile cruise again 5 star accommodation, the boat and crew were splendid. We spent our time with the kind, soft spoken, brilliant Aladdin Ghazaly, he was a joy to be with and again shared his over 20 years of Egyptian study with us.
We finished our trip with a few days relaxing in heavenly Sharm, again stunning accommodations and a day of diving the Red Sea that was arranged in minutes to perfection by our guide.
We were impressed and 100% satisfied with our epic adventure, we had never heard of kimkim travel and just went off the reviews we had read, they came through with flying colors. Next off to the Galapagos and we will be using kimkim

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of booking our trip through KimKim for our recent 9 day trip to Egypt. We just returned and wanted to express how grateful we are for the team and everything they did for us. Not only did they adjust the trip and fine tuned it to my exact needs and requirements, but they dealt with my million questions along the way lol. First of all, the trip started with Mahmoud meeting us as soon as we stepped off the airplane in Cairo before we even hit baggage or customs. From there, it was a flawless < 20 minute experience to get from the plane to the car and we couldn’t have done it without his help. We were driven through the insane traffic of Cairo with ease to our first hotel where they dropped us at the door and ensured all was well. We communicated the entire time through WhatsApp and each day the next days plan was laid out.
Our first 2.5 days were with Mohammad, who was not only an incredibly knowledgeable guide but was kind and funny. We saw the Pyramids and Mohammad Ali mosque on day one, followed by some amazing local schwarmma sandwiches. We went to a handful of souvenir stores where we got to purchase some awesome, government certified souvenirs special to Egypt. I got to ride a camel at the pyramids too! Pickup was prompt and everything was safe, fun, and easy.
The next day we were picked up promptly for a long drive out to the desert where we stopped partway to have a traditional Bedouin lunch which was cooked by our guide and drive Achmed, who stayed with us the entire time. His desert driving skills were unmatched and took us to the best sightseeing places. Then we settled into the White Desert for a night of campfire cooking, tea, and sleeping in the sand. It was incredible and delicious and we never felt unsafe.
The next day we said goodbye to Mohammad and Achmed and we’re driven to the airport for our flight to Luxor. Again - all planned out well and prompt. We were met at the airport with ease for pickup to our hotel in Luxor.
We got a call that night directly to our hotel saying the hot air balloon ride we had planned for the next day was cancelled due to weather, and they had already adjusted our itinerary and booked us a new balloon ride for the following day with no stress.
We were picked up by Ahmed for a full day of Luxor sightseeing. He was knowledgeable and kind and left us to explore on our own a bit which we enjoyed. He took tons of photos and we had a wonderful day.
The next morning we were promptly picked up at 345am for the hot air balloon ride, which we got to via Nile river boat (fun and unexpected!). This was also very easy and professional and hands down the best part of our trip.
We were taken back to our hotel after to pack our bags and get picked up for our drive to Hurghada, which was prompt and easy. Once we arrived they checked us in and arranged hotel pickup and PCR tests for that Saturday that we were leaving.
When we were picked up Saturday it was prompt with easy quick drive to the airport. That night when we were picked up from the airport, Mahmoud picked us up again and had a doctor waiting for us at the airport for PCR test which was done quickly. We had the results send to us via WhatsApp a few hours later and they were totally acceptable for return to the USA.
Overall we legitimately had no snags the entire time and with the language barrier between English and Egyptian Arabic, we quite literally couldn’t have done this trip without the KimKim team. It was a perfect trip and we will definitely use them in the future for other trips.

We had a spectacular 7-day trip in Egypt in April 2022. If I could give Dunes 6 stars, I would. This trip was postponed two years because of Covid. Sherif was understanding and patient in extending the trip and regularly checking with us to see if we were ready to schedule. Excellent and prompt communication before the trip, so we had all the information we needed.
Now to the trip itself. We were met at Cairo airport by Dunes rep Mr Ahmed. He met us really close to where we got off the plane and whisked us through getting a visa and getting out of the airport (basically, VIP service!). Then by a/c van to the Nile Kempinski hotel in the Cairo garden district. Mr Ahmed stayed with us until our rooms were assigned and we knew what to expect the next morning. This was a pattern everywhere. Dunes staff (and Sherif via WhatsApp) constantly checked on us and made sure we were completely taken care of. Everywhere we went, we had a comfortable a/c van. Pretty much everything was pre-paid and taken care of --- especially important for tickets at the various sites.
We had two expert guides --- Ms Nesrine in Cairo and Mr Alaa on our nile cruise. Both were excellent -- friendly, very well informed, with decades of experience, and who explained the history and significance of the things we saw. We were traveling as a family with our two adult children, and both of them were great at relating to everyone across generations.
I left the trip planning entirely to Sherif and he picked a great itinerary for us. First two days in Cairo for us to see the pyramids and sphinx and the Egyptian museum. Then flight to Aswan to get on a Nile cruise to Luxor. By choosing to start in Aswan and end in Luxor, we staged it perfectly so that we ended with the amazing Karnak and Luxor temples.
Sherif had advised us to upgrade to the Sonesta St George ship and I'm glad we did --- the ship was comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was terrific. We are vegetarians, so the chefs went out of their way to get us some special options during the sit down dinners. The buffet had a ton of vegetarian options anyway, but I think Sherif had told them in advance, and so we got special treatment.
Finally, Dunes sent a travel coordinator to take us from the cruise ship to Luxor airport and onto our plane, then at the Cairo airport, we were met again by Mr Ahmed and escorted to the airport hotel as we had to stay overnight to catch our flight out of Egypt. Sherif also organized someone to come to our hotel to give us a covid test for our travel, and updated me regularly until we had the results.
Overall, this was top-notch service. Dunes took care of our every need. More importantly, they anticipated every potential need and took care of it for us. I rarely write reviews but this time I am because I am super-impressed by this excellent team of travel professionals who made our Egypt trip special.

We had an amazing trip to Egypt earlier this month and were very impressed with all the arrangements. There was no hiccup on any of the logistics. Our accommodation was mostly first-class - especially the Kempinski in Cairo and the Old Cataract in Aswan. The only slightly disappointing one was the Ghaliat Eco-Lodge in Siwa. Firstly everything was served on single-use plastic - cups, plates, cutlery etc - but also it had nothing in the way of facilities - no bar, no WiFi, no hair-dryer, no ice etc etc. while it was relaxing, three nights was more than enough there.
Our main guide, Mohammad Shaarawy was outstanding - very knowledgeable on everything and had perfect English. He was also excellent company. Our main driver, also Mohammad, was equally outstanding and there was plenty of room on our mini-bus.
Our guide in Upper Egypt was not so outstanding- very heavily accented English and not as knowledgeable on Egyptology. Also he seemed to mess up on our plans for a hot-air balloon ride in Luxor, which we eventually could not take.
The Sonesta St. George boat was superb and we were very happy with the service, food and comfort.
Our airport collections and transfers worked very smoothly and the only change we would make again is to allow an extra day for this itinerary as it was really full-on most of the time.
We wanted to cover as much ground as possible and thus visited Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Nile Cruise, Luxor, Alexandria, El Alamein and Siwa all in a two-week period.
The highlights for us were going inside the Pyramids, Abu Simbel, Karnak Temple, Valley of Kings, the amazing Alexandria Bibliotheque, and the great Siwa Oasis
Overall we had a memorable trip and learned so much from the really informative guides and were very happy with the service provided by Egypt Promotions Ltd

Visit Philae temple & High Dam and Check-in on board Nile cruise

High Dam was disappointing compared to other dans we have seen - Kariba, Boulder- couldn’t see the size of it or the sluices and no working model nor tour of the operating of the dam.

The pre planning was a little bumpy. It took several rounds of explaining and sometimes we felt we were not being understood in our requests. Maybe it was a language barrier or something on my side.
After the few bumps in the road, the execution of the trip was very good. All the guides, drivers, times, hotels were excellent. Both in Egypt and Jordan we had the best time on the ground. Everybody was kind and trying to make us have a great vacation. All the operation was fantastic.
Our guides in Egypt Hesham Nour and Mohammed Kamal were incredible.
Our driver in Jordan, Ali, was also excellent.
All in all a fantastic vacation and a great choice.

We had an amazing experience in our trip to Egypt and Jordan. The pyramids, the Petra, the White Desert, a cruise on the Nile, and scuba diving in Sharm el Sheikh were truly unforgettable. Ibrahim and the Kimkim team put together the perfect itinerary for us and were able to quickly resolve any issues that arose during our trip. They handled all of our lodging and transportation and made sure we were always comfortable.

Both of our tour guides, Mohammad Kamal and Noor, were respectful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the various sites we visited across Egypt. They answered any question that we had and we learned a lot about Egyptian and Jordanian history and culture from them.

One of the highlights of our experience was when we visited a small village along the Nile river. We met some of the families there and enjoyed their hospitality. Additionally, the night we spent camping and star gazing in the White Desert was an experience we enjoyed very much.

Overall, this was a phenomenal trip and we will definitely be planning more trips through Kimkim in the future!

I planned my Jordan and Egypt itinerary with Dunes and Beyond. I worked with Mr. Sherif Khalil who not only planned my trip but was very vigilant with all flight and rules changes that were going on given the Pandemic situation. Everything arranged and managed by him and his company was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this company for your egypt (and if going to Jordan) travel!

All the guides provided by the company were fantastic, very accommodating and knowledgeable! Especially my guide for Cairo, Lina was simply magnificent in terms of knowledge and time management. Their company is also very flexible and can change your plans as needed. As an example: there was heavy fog when we had planned to see the pyramids but they changed the sequence of itinerary that day and even paid out of their own pocket for me to go to giza that evening when fog had settled.

Although 8 days is not nearly enough time to visit Egypt, I had the trip of a lifetime! All the organization, from pick ups, to tours, to getting my test to return to the US was top notch. I also think with the limited time I had, Ibrahim picked great highlights. I would absolutely recommend this experience to EVERYONE - whatever you think about Egypt, it is SO MUCH MORE!

Traveling solo, I was a bit nervous, but both my guides Mohammad Shaarawy and Mohammed Kamal were knowledgable, professional and excellent. Mohammed Shaarawy excels at explaining complex Egyptian history and Mohammed Kamal is enthusiastic and energetic.

I'm so happy I did this tour and can't wait to come back.

Our trip exceeded our expectations. The attention to each transfer, quality of guides and the places we visited were fantastic.

Planning our trip with Mr. Sherif and Dunes and Beyond was very easy. We had planned this trip per-Covid and finally were able to go to Egypt this winter. Mr.Sherif and Kimkim let us postpone our trip for close to two years due to Covid lockdowns. When we landed in Egypt D&B and it’s entire team took extremely good care of us. Ahmed was our airport aide and was always there to help us with luggage and visas. Our drivers: Adil in Cairo and Yasser in Luxor drive us around to the various sites in very clean air conditioned cars. The cars were also in very good condition. Our tour guides: Sagy in Cairo and Alexandria, and Mohammed in Luxor made our trip. They were both very knowledgeable in Egyptology and helped us understand Pharaonic history. We truly enjoyed our experience with our tour guides. Sagy was just amazing. We felt we were touring Egypt with a friend and not a tour guide, and that made all the difference. We had an amazing trip of a lifetime in Egypt, thanks to D&B and its entire team. Cheers.

We would be happy to travel with KimKim again, and recommend them to our friends and family. I have had tours from Cambodia and India to Ghana and Mexico, but none better than this.
Sherif was helpful with advance advice and scheduling, as well as printing the necessary documents such as COVID tests for reentry to the UK and USA.
Our Egyptologists (Lina in Cairo and Abdo in Luxor) went above and beyond in every way. They spoke very good English, were knowledgable, warm and enthusiastic, and overcame all the challenges resulting from my wife being confined to a wheelchair. If we have the opportunity to return to Egypt, we would be very happy to see them again.
Highlights: The Museum of Egyptian Civilizations builds a narrative of the pharoahs through their mummies while putting pyramids and pharoahs into the context of Egypt's rich and varied cultural history.
Nothing I had read or seen in museums prepared me for the overwhelming artisstic experience inside the tombs in the Valley of the Kings.

Sherif's tour company was EXCELLENT from start to finish. Extremely well organized, responsive and we learned so much from our Egyptologist guide. We joked that we had the nicest tour van in Cairo and I will absolutely recommend Sherif and his team to anyone planning a trip to Egypt.

I am so glad I hired Egyptian Promotion Travel for my one week stay in Egypt. The service is truly 5 stars. I chose this company because they were happy to customize my itinerary in such a short time frame, and it was a private tour. Ibrahim took my request extremely last minute and his team made it happen. They were all patient with my many questions.

My husband and I are still amazed at what we were able to accomplish in 7 days. We took the Nile Cruise to Aswan and Luxor - saw all the temples including Abu Simbel, and even visited Old Cairo and the new Egyptian Civilization Museum. Mohammed Kamal, our guide from Luxor, was so special. He really wanted to make sure we were happy the entire time and felt like family.

The entire time I felt very safe and taken care of. The guides pick you up from each airport and hotel. The shuttles were large and air conditioned. They even arranged a doctor to come to your hotel or wherever you are to take a Covid-19 test with the proper requirements on your travel home.

Travel in Egypt is booming again and the future looks bright for Egyptian Promotion Travel.

We had an amazing experience. We went to three different areas in Egypt (Cairo, Nile River Cruise, Hurghada) and our guides at each spot were amazing. Answered all our questions, made sure we had everything we needed (Water, stops at the ATM for cash, PCR test, etc.). It made it so easy to relax and just enjoy each day of our vacation. Our guide Mohammad in Cairo, Mo with Farah Nile cruise and Hesham in Hurghada were all amazing. Any hiccup we had, they handled it. On time too!

Our trip provided the experience of a lifetime. From the time we were met at the airport, we generally felt like the guides were knowledgeable and open to allowing us to experience Egypt in the way we desired, even when that deviated from the schedule of events.
Tour guide for Cairo and Alexandria- Tito was knowledgeable and flexible. Good at communicating local customs and helping us with checkpoints and helping us to feel at ease.

Tour guide for Aswan, Nile Cruise and Luxor-Mustafa was and is the best tour guide we’ve ever experienced. All should take lessons from him. He’s personable, knowledgeable and asks questions to be sure we were getting the very tour WE desired, not necessarily the tour listed in the agenda. He understands local culture and customs and asks questions to gage the comfort levels and desires of his guests. He made us feel like true family. He is a true gem.

Tour guide in travel from Luxor to Hurghada was young and quite inexperienced. We were placed in a precarious position because of this. He should be training with a more experienced guide. He left us physically alone during and after a chaotic incident with a local bathroom attendant at the “rest stop”. 2 Americans who know NO Arabic, angry merchants with no other tourists around -alone for 45+ minutes, with only 2 brief checks to say “it’ll be 10 more minutes” and leave. Our other tour guides had the experience and knowledge to NEVER do this. It was frightening.

Otherwise, the people, staff were very accommodating and helpful. Always pleasant and seemed to truly desire that we had a wonderful time at each location. Even the events that were not coordinated well, were taken in stride and light hearted. Overall, one of the best experiences we’ve encountered.

Fantastic trip! 1 month in Egypt, including a week on the Nile. All the guides, vans, planes, and boats were all in place as expected. My daughter broke her ankle walking into a temple and our guide Mohamed arranged the doctors, x-rays, ambulance, tourist police and a delayed boat departure efficiently and we are very grateful to have had him as our guide. I can't say enough good things about him.
Covid19 testing was handled at the airport before departure very quickly and paperwork in order.
