Our 2-week trip to Greece was truly fantastic. We had an incredible time. Perfect mix of culture/history and R&R, thanks to our local specialist in Athens, Hara Solakaki. She planned a perfect trip for us, tailored to our wishes/requests (not easy as we were traveling with 2 nine-year-olds).

The food was outstanding, and the people we met were all so friendly and welcoming.

Among the islands, Milos was our favorite, with Naxos a very close second. We loved Santorini too (the views are #1) and we're glad we went, but not sure we'd return due to the crowds. Glad we did 1 less night in Santorini than the other islands.

Our favorite excursion was the all-day Milos boat cruise. That said, we really enjoyed all the excursions, and Eleni was a fantastic guide at the Acropolis.

Best hotel was El Greco, but we enjoyed all 4 really.

Thanks to Hara for planning such a great trip for us. We now have a lifetime of memories from this beautiful country! We'll be back!

We had an amazing trip - it struck the right balance of sightseeing and being active and time to relax and enjoy the beach, the beauty and culture of Greece, and its friendly and welcoming people. Each experience felt like it was better than the last. Aggeliki was thoughtful in building a great itinerary and was both proactive and responsive before and during our trip.

I wish we would have been here longer - we stayed our last night and had to leave quite early to catch our flight. We were welcomed with a cold glass of lemonade while we checked in. The hotel is right around the corner from many wonderful restaurants and shops, so we had fun walking through and finding someplace to have our last dinner in Greece. We left at 3 a.m. and the hostess arranged for us to have breakfast packed in a bag for us, which was very kind. Rooms are beautiful and spacious.

The location is wonderful - right on the sea. We didn't realize it's a pretty good hike to a restaurant or supermarket, so guests will want to be aware of this and either arrange for a car or other ground transportation to be able to explore the island.

Our host was very helpful and responsive. She helped us rent a car when we realized we would need to do so. She gave us additional coffee pods when we weren't able to find any that fit our machine at the supermarket. Very friendly and welcoming.

This is a beautiful property in a great location in Oia. It is right on the caldera and require a lot of steps and stamina to get from the main street to the rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the housekeepers did a nice job keeping us supplied with towels and toiletries.

Catamaran Sunset Cruise

The catamaran cruise was a highlight of our trip. From the kind and helpful crew and well-appointed boat to the absolutely gorgeous views of Santorini that you can only experience by sea, this experience was amazing. Our guides stopped at several location so we could swim and snorkel, gave us interesting and helpful information about Santorini's history, and made us a delicious dinner. The sunset was stunning and closed out the day perfectly.

Naxos Culinary Tour

This activity was really special, and it's an experience I'll always remember. Our guide, George, picked us up at our resort and took us to a beautiful olive oil factory in Halki. We were able to drive through the countryside and several scenic villages while George told us about the history about the island and the region. He then took us to Miss Maria's and Mr. Yannis' farm where we received instruction and helped create a traditional Greek dinner. They couldn't have been more kind and gracious, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. The meal was delicious and the experience was absolutely fantastic.

We certainly loved the trip. Things were well planned and I particularly appreciate the planned shuttle service as part of the way to get to events and airports. The reason is that is my biggest fear to not be able to get to the airport or events on time, and when we went on a trip to Italy last year, there was a taxi strike. We booked things tight and needed reliable travel. When it is handled by others, it is tremendous.
I loved the catamaran tour and meal, the Naxos Sun Tour with George, Yanni and Maria, and the accommodations in each place. I can be happy with many different accommodations, but other people on the trip wanted them to be very nice and they were. The meals were amazing and so were the views. We had a shuttle driver in Athens who was excellent and enjoyable. I think his name was Nick? The others on the trip will mention him.
I appreciated seeing several different sites. Naxos was probably my favorite this time because I had not seen it before and it was chill.
Being able to get ahold of Angela and having a good itinerary helped a few times. I always felt safe and taken care of by Angela and each location we were staying.

It you want a comfortable, off-the-beaten-path, suite with an amazing view, great accommodations, a lot of room, pool access and beaches nearby, this is the place for you. It is also very affordable. We recommend renting a car to get around Naxos, and were very happy with SeaJets Ferry Service to get between islands. This is about 15 minutes from Naxos (city). There are some very nice beaches, restaurants and little supermarkets nearby. The manager was very helpful with connecting with a rental car service and some of the local attractions. We had not decided to rent a car until we got to the island an figured out that taxis take time to get and are not the fastest and cheapest way to see many things on the island. Our rooms were spacious. The air-conditioning, stove and refrigerators were very nice to have. We chose not to spend all out time at the pool, but instead went to the beach. The area is pretty quiet with not much traffic like Santorini. The beaches were not packed and neither were the streets. There is so much to do on Naxos that is couple or small group friendly that it is hard not to pick it over Athens or Santorini unless you really want the night life from clubs which are better there. We were ten to thirty minutes away from interesting history and got to see the life in a rural area of Greece with all of the fun of restaurants, bakeries, and sites to see. Yes, see Athens and Santorini for their history and the views, but go to Naxos and stay here for the cost, comfort, relaxation and the sites of Naxos. Our goal was not to spend every minute at the Villa. Some people do and you could do that. It was not set up with lots of comfortable chairs and couches for lying around and binging on TV. It was set up as a place to get in the pool, spend time on the patio, sleep, shower, and have quick access to the beach and other sites of Naxos. We will definitely go again.

Round Transfers to Akrotiri Archaeological Site

Our transfers went well to this site. It is a very important site in regard to world history. I wish they would add some special signage and have some displays, but there is still work being done there from time to time.

This was the trip of a lifetime. There were 6 adults and a 4 year old. I told Eleli when we were planning it out I wanted to see the important parts of Greece of the places we were going to as well as free time to explore on our own and to throw in some beaches. She hit it out of the ballpark!

We arrived in Athens around lunch time to the Pan Hotel which is in the heart of Athens, walking distance from Plaka as well as Stygmata Square. The Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Across the street is the best Organic Ice Cream shop. We might have had ice cream 3 or 4 times. That evening we went on a wine tour to 3 bars and a food truck type restaurant. The tour guide was Panos and he was from Athens and even told the 20 somethings of the group where to head out later.

The next day was a tour of the Acropolis and Athens Mythology Tour. The day was a rainy one and it was still an excellent tour. ( Eleni had transporation to everything. We never had to worry about getting somewhere or getting back to the hotel. All of that was taken care of.) The guide, was extremely knowledgable and wasn't detered by the rain. Many good photographs on this tour.

The next day we cought a bus to Delphi to tour a museum and see Temple to Apollo and other archaelogical sites. The views on the drive were breathtaking of the sea and the little town near Delphi. We ate at a restaurant and were treated especially well with great photographs of the view as well as the excellent food. The driver picked the restaurant (after we persuaded him to) and it was fantastic.

Day 4 we toured the monistaries in Meteora. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip. The views were breathtaking, and the tour of how the monistaries came to be on the top of these cliffs and rock formations was very informatitive. I have to mention the bus driver, named Stiros. He was hilarious and fancied himself a photographer. He would find out of the way places for us to take photographs with teh beautiful scenery behind us. After we headed back to Athens and the Pan Hotel.

Day 5 we went on a high speed ferry to Mykonos. Our hotel, the Vencia, was right above the "Old Town" that everyone photographs. The rooms were beautiful and the Infinity Pool was where we spent that afteroon. From the pool, you could see the Old Town and the water. The wait staff at the hotel were the best of all the hotels we stayed at. They were so helpful and respectful the entire time we were there. That afternoon, we went to visit Delos, another Archaelogical site which is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. The tour guide for this voyage was a archeologist and had a different spin from the others we could hear on their tours. She was so knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to.

Day 6 We had a free beach day and spent the day on Agios Sostis. Sitting in the sun, with an umbrella on a beach chair, drinking Pina Coladas, was the perfect relaxing day we needed.

Day 7 We spent in Naxos. We stayed at the Melidron hotel which is walking distance from the Agios Prokopios Beach. The first day, in the evening we toured a castle which is in the heart of Old Town. She took us first to the Portara, a gigantic door that you first see when you arrive on the island. We took many photographs here. We walked and toured the castle and stopped for some Kitro samples. This liqour is only sold on Naxos, is what we were told.

Day 8 We booked a Naxion Cooking experience, which is my second favorite thing we booked. We first went to Eggares and toured an olive press and learned many things about how they create olive oil. We were warned to eat a light breakfast as there were many samples here. Did you know there is chocolate olive oil? There is olive oil cake and olive oil bread. Wow. Then we immediately headed to Galini to Mrs. Voula and were taken back to make a traditional Greek meal. Her and her daughter made the time we had here so fun and informative. We learned how to make homemade meatballs, tzatiki, and stuffed vegetables. All of the vegetables, herbs, cheese and jellies we were served were all made by Mrs Voula, her husband, daughter or grown by her son. Excellent food. Excellent tour.

Day 9 was another beach day with no tours. Another day of beach chairs, embrellas and pina coladas.

Day 10 was a flight from Naxos to Athens to prepare for home.

Our trip that Angela helped coordinate was wonderful from promptly being picked up at various locations, great hotel & villa stays, amazing & appropriate tours that suited our family to the ready availability of Angela if we had any concerns and questions.
Our tour guide Eleni for the Mythology Acropolis tour kept us intrigued with her storytelling and our kitron tour with Sophia is an experience that all of us including the children will never forget.

We had a fantastic experience with our greece vacation through kimkim! Angela was amazing - putting together many different itineraries until we had the right one. She was incredibly responsive answering all of our queries usually within minutes if not seconds!! All of the logistics were perfect and she found us some beautiful and unique places to stay that were within our budget. Effie and her team were amazing! Given our difficulties with flight connections just getting to Greece, the personal touch that Effie provided us by meeting us in the Athens Airport prior to our flight to Crete was such a warm and generous gesture, and one that couldn't have been more welcomed. We loved getting the "whatsAp" updates daily as to any schedule changes or just subtle reminders about the next day's activities. All of our drivers/guides were prompt (if not early!), and very generous/friendly with information, knowledge about the local trails we were hiking, insights about cultural landmarks, etc. We loved the "balance" she created between our hiking adventures, cooking explorations, and sight seeing/walking days. It was really an incredible experience and honestly beyond what we could have imagined.

Imbros Gorge Private Hike and Sfakia Village Visit

Excellent hike, we had the same guide as we did for the Samaria Gorge, so were thrilled to have someone we already had gotten to know and trust. The scenery is amazing, the hike is much more forgiving than Samaria Gorge, but no less spectacular in scenery!

The Authentic Cretan Cooking Small Group Experience

I think this cooking class, while fun,is really more of a "cultural" experience than it is a cooking class, and very much geared towards the person who has not cooked before. We would have preferred a bit more cooking, and less "geology/history" lesson, though we did enjoy the wine tasting that was also offered. It is a "long" afternoon, evening and seems like it could be better organized to make more efficient use of the time. Still, a fun event for those looking to learn more about how to make some basic Cretan dishes.

We had to "wait" a long time between preparing the meal and eating what we prepared. I think this probably could have been organized a bit more efficiently, perhaps with fewer people in the class?

Samaria Gorge Private Guided Tour

This was one of the more amazing experiences we had in Crete! The Gorge is not to be missed! We had an amazing guide that was both knowledgeable, tireless in her ability to answer ALL of our questions, warm/friendly and sensitive to our needs (my husband hiked this gorge injured---which is not the wisest of moves, but he is in excellent condition so despite his knee injury and with the help of walking sticks, was able to make the hike). Our guide had suggested, based on her personal opinion that we use the "point of no return" to assess my husband's condition, given that the only way after that point would be by donkey. Her sage wisdom was a comfort, & against her best recommendation, my husband decided to continue. She was spot-on to recommend we turn around, but I have a highly conditioned/stubborn husband who was sure he could make it despite a sprained knee. And make it he did; it was an experience of a lifetime even with this injury!

The guides were excellent. We spent the day, 9 hours, with Nota in Athens. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Antoni spent the day showing us the island of Milos. He detailed it to our wishes. It was a good way to see local places and restaurants. Or guide in Santorini also, spent 9 hours with us. This tour entailed local cuisines and historical landmarks.

The food was good for all of our tours, including the sailing trips. The staff on the Santorini sailing tour, made vegetarian meal, just for me.

We stayed at the Elia Ermou in Athens, the Santa Maria Village Resort and Spa in Milos, and the Santorini Palace Hotel. The staff at all the hotels were friendly and helpful. The hotels were all well situated, in walking distance to restaurant and shopping.

Kimkim did an excellent job planning our trip.

This was a 5-day Family and Friends … Athens & Day Trips in Attica & the Peloponnese in Greece! This included numerous unique experiences that Eleni, our travel specialist from KimKim, orchestrated for our group during this 5-day period. She was the most amazing person to brainstorm with as she took my base ideas and crafted an incredible itinerary for our group of 25 family/friends! Because this was such a large group it proved to be a little more challenging, but Eleni had no problem in orchestrating the whole vacation! Which just goes to show how incredible and detail-oriented Eleni is … which proved to be very important given the size of our group! Our transfers, the group meals, our hotel stay, and the numerous unique experiences Eleni orchestrated for our group during this 5-day period went very smoothly. Additionally, Eleni’s Travel 12 Team kept in contact with me daily and were there for me if ever I needed assistance or had a question which added a very important “comfort level” to me as I was having to manage this large group of friends and family throughout our daily experiences.

There were soooo many highlights of this trip that began with a customized walking tour of Ancient Agora + a food tour in Athens that included craft beer tasting ;o) Additional highlights of our first day in Athens included our evening drive down the Athenian Riviera to Cape Sounion for a walk around the archaeological site of the Temple of Poseidon and then we had a sunset dinner on the beach at a traditional taverna with a view of the Temple of Poseidon all lit up. The next day was spent exploring the Peloponnese area that included a 75-min cruise up and down the Corinth Canal, a visit to Ancient Corinth, then off to the archaeological site of Nemea to see the Tempe of Zeus which was followed by lunch in the vineyard of a winery with winetasting! Then before returning to Athens, we ended the day with a stroll around the seaside town of Nafplio and dinner at a waterfront tavern. The next day was an all-day 3-Island Cruise to Hydra, Poros, and Aegina and we sailed back to Athens with fabulous sunset views! Our final day in Greece was spent at Lake Vouliagmeni – which is a mineral springs lake outside of Athens. I have to say that this DAY was the best ever! Then we followed this up with dinner on top of Lycabettus Hill at the Orixontes restaurant (the highest spot in Athens) with spectacular views of the city lit up at night!

So, all in all … once again … Eleni and her Travel 12 Team did a fabulous job in both orchestrating this vacation for the large group of 25 and ensuring that everything went off like clockwork!

After getting settled into our hotel in the afternoon our evening tour began with a private drive down the Athenian Riviera to Cape Sounion where we explored the Temple of Poseidon. This was a 5-day Family and Friends … Athens & Day Trips in Attica & the Peloponnese in Greece! This included numerous unique experiences that Eleni, our travel specialist from KimKim, orchestrated for our group during this 5-day period. She was the most amazing person to brainstorm with as she took my base ideas and crafted an incredible itinerary for our group of 25 family/friends! Because this was such a large group it proved to be a little more challenging, but Eleni had no problem in orchestrating the whole vacation! Which just goes to show how incredible and detail-oriented Eleni is … which proved to be very important given the size of our group! Our transfers, the group meals, our hotel stay, and the numerous unique experiences Eleni orchestrated for our group during this 5-day period went very smoothly. Additionally, Eleni’s Travel 12 Team kept in contact with me daily and were there for me if ever I needed assistance or had a question which added a very important “comfort level” to me as I was having to manage this large group of friends and family throughout our daily experiences.

There were soooo many highlights of this trip that began with a customized walking tour of Ancient Agora + a food tour in Athens that included craft beer tasting ;o) Additional highlights of our first day in Athens included our evening drive down the Athenian Riviera to Cape Sounion for a walk around the archaeological site of the Temple of Poseidon and then we had a sunset dinner on the beach at a traditional taverna with a view of the Temple of Poseidon all lit up. The next day was spent exploring the Peloponnese area that included a 75-min cruise up and down the Corinth Canal, a visit to Ancient Corinth, then off to the archaeological site of Nemea to see the Tempe of Zeus which was followed by lunch in the vineyard of a winery with winetasting! Then before returning to Athens, we ended the day with a stroll around the seaside town of Nafplio and dinner at a waterfront tavern. The next day was an all-day 3-Island Cruise to Hydra, Poros, and Aegina and we sailed back to Athens with fabulous sunset views! Our final day in Greece was spent at Lake Vouliagmeni – which is a mineral springs lake outside of Athens. I have to say that this DAY was the best ever! Then we followed this up with dinner on top of Lycabettus Hill at the Orixontes restaurant (the highest spot in Athens) with spectacular views of the city lit up at night!

So, all in all … once again … Eleni and her Travel 12 Team did a fabulous job in both orchestrating this vacation for the large group of 25 and ensuring that everything went off like clockwork!

Dimitris and I planned my husband’s & my trip to Greece unlike most tourists. We had true concierge service to visit and experience the ancient cultures, including the Minoan, Mycenaean, as well as Classical Greece. We toured Athens, Delphi, Corinth, Mycenae, Delos, Naxos, the Akoritiri in Santorini, Heraculon, and of course the beauty of Chania, with the Venetian influence. What a timeline of Civilization! Our drivers could have been tour guides, and their knowledge and professionalism is superb. We probably should have started our trip late May instead of mid-June, and hit the high season after June 20th, but our guides made do. On our return, the boat from Delos was late, and we ran the 2 kilometers to get to the driver in time, but he’d already left. If the drivers would look to see when the boat pulled into the port, they could see when passengers would be coming. Taxis had to park that far from the boat dock, but could see the dock because the port was circular.

There were 8 of us (my husband and I, our 2 grown children, my in-laws and brother and sister-in-law). We gave Eleni a few suggestions of places we wanted to go and things we wanted to do, and she took it from there. She and Mariliza booked all of our hotel reservations, tours and transportation. From the time we got off the plane in Athens until we departed two weeks later, everything was seamless. Our tour guides were all extremely knowledgeable and friendly, our drivers were prompt and courteous, and the hotels that they selected were top-notch. A few highlights: our stunning view of the Acropolis from the Electra Metropolis hotel, shopping in Hydra, lunches at Safran in Ios, and a sunset catamaran tour in Santorini. It was a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation, and Eleni and Mariliza were extremely helpful, flexible and professional. I was originally planning to make the arrangements myself, but I am so grateful that my daughter found KimKim online. It wouldn’t have been the same without their expertise and guidance.

Absolutely stunning property! The staff was so friendly and welcoming (Eleni is so sweet!). The sunset views were breathtaking. It was a short walk into Chora, the main town, but very quiet and relaxing. We had a great dinner at Grandma’s restaurant (on property) and enjoyed sunbathing at the infinity pool. The breakfast was amazing. In addition to an extensive buffet, there was also a menu of options that you could order from. We stayed in a suite with a bedroom upstairs for us, and sleeper sofas downstairs for the kids. It worked out perfectly!

⛵ Private Sunset Sailing & BBQ on a luxury catamaran

The highlight of our trip! Evie and Eleni were fantastic. They took us to the red beach and the white beach to swim and snorkel (the water was crystal clear!) and then around the volcano. They made us a delicious dinner on the boat, and then the wind picked up so Evie raised the sails and we sailed around for about an hour before we watched the sun set. It was a perfect way to end our trip.

Another awesome tour in Santorini! This day we visited Museum of Prehistoric Thera, and then went to Akrotiri, an active archaeological dig site of an ancient fishing village covered by a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago. Our tour guide, Tonia, was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the ancient civilizations. From there we visited Perivolos Beach and had an amazing sushi lunch at Forty One. We were supposed to go to Profitis Elias Mountain, but since we had done that the day before, we opted to spend some extra time at the black beach. The restaurant allowed us to use a few of the lounge chairs for free, since we had eaten lunch there, which was really nice. We went to another winery for a wine tasting (not sure of the name, but the views were stunning!) and then back to the hotel.

This was a great way to get familiar with the island. The first stop was Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum. It was a little cheesy, but it was very informative and we learned about the history of winemaking on the island, then sampled a few of their wines. Our general impression was that they were good, but we didn’t love them enough to buy bottles to bring home. We visited the town of Megalochori, walked the cobblestone streets and visited ancient cave dwellings. Our next stop was Profitis Elias Mountain (the highest point in Santorini). There we visited a little church and bought products made by the monks at the local monastery. We tried caper leaves for the first time (delicious!) and bought some sun dried tomatoes to bring home. Elena poured us each a glass of wine and we drank it overlooking the entire island. Next, she took us to a restaurant where we had traditional Greek dishes on a rooftop while we watched the sunset. A perfect way to end the evening.

Eleni was so knowledgeable and friendly! The tour of the Acropolis was great. Because we were with a tour, we were able to enter the Acropolis from the back side and avoid the lines. From there, she took us to a cute restaurant for Freddo Cappuccino and orange cake. We walked around the city, visited a meat and fish market, and sampled olives at the local outdoor produce market. From there we visited Bougatsadiko Thessaloniki restaurant in Psirri for spanakopita. She offered to take us for souvlaki, but we were already stuffed and decided to head back to the hotel. It was a perfect way to see Athens!

Tasos is, in a word, fantastic. He had his work cut out for him, creating a 3-week trip to disparate parts of Greece, for us 2 couples with some varying priorities and preferences, and yet equally perfectionistic in our own ways, all hoping to devise a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We decided on legs in Athens, the Peloponnese, 5nights on a private sailboat around the main Cyclades islands, and a week on Crete. The trip planning was protracted, then stymied and postponed by Covid, and yet Tasos and Kimkim effortlessly allowed for this, honoring the trip plan details such as the same hotels/villas, day trips, and guides without penalty or hiccup. From the initial lengthy phone call with Tasos, to the many many email exchanges over 2 years, Tasos demonstrated complete professionalism, enthusiasm, keen attunement to our trip planning vision and wishes, as well as gentle push-back and welcome guidance when inherent contradictions called for it. Quite simply, his listening and planning skills are A+. I had never used a trip consultant before, having previously researched our own trips in extensive detail, and so was skeptical of relinquishing some control. However, I most certainly would do it again with Tasos. My husband and my favorite guides and day trips revolved around a blend of in-depth history and archeology, picturesque scenery, plus learning of local cultures and foods; for example, one fabulous day trip was to Nemea, where Dominic toured us around the fascinating ruins and archeology undertaking of the Temple of Zeus and ancient stadium, then a bike ride through the gorgeous vineyard hillsides and on to a boutique winery, followed by a visit to a local vinegar manufacturer whose mother also cooked us our best meal of our trip! Another memorable day trip was hiking the castle of Acrocorinth with Niko, and hearing all about ancient history as well as more modern challenges for Greeks. I could go on…
My husband and my only regrets, in retrospect, were not weighing more carefully the pro’s and con’s of hotel/villa locations vs amenities: were we to plan it over, we would prioritize being within a small city vs 15-30minutes drives to our beautiful remote hotels. I plan to offer Tasos lots more detailed feedback and shout outs to our favorite guides, hotels, and restaurants, but hopefully this review will highlight just how much Tasos and Kimkim has to offer!

Villa Kyma - Chania, Crete

The modern villa itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with spectacular views and pool, but it was a 30minute drive to Chania. We now regret choosing a large pool over the convenience and ambiance of a luxury hotel in Chania. The villa was clearly luxurious, yet simple things were lacking like no screens on one of the view-centric master bedroom’s sliding doors and windows (lots of mosquitoes on Crete in summer!), and strangely, this large master bedroom also had no en suite bathroom, like the other, smaller bedrooms did.

The Vasilicos

Absolutely gorgeous in all ways, elegant but not stuffy, supremely comfortable, with artistic character and many beautiful touches, and stellar service to boot. Ideal setting, postcard perfect views, spacious rooms and storage, and they seemed to think of everything. Couldn’t be better. Well, the only disappointment was the in-house chef’s dinner on our private patio, which we had expected to be superb but was only mediocre in quality and presentation.

This hotel was situated in a pretty spot with beautiful views, and it had its comforts, but overall really underwhelming. We regret staying so far from Nafplio (though we had requested a large pool, so this must have been the deciding variable), and the location did not really allow for walks despite advertising itself as such. The common areas and rooms were quite sterile and basic, though there was plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast buffet was plentiful but mediocre. Similarly, we were pleased they had prompt laundry service, but they returned the clean laundry stuffed, completely unfolded and wrinkled, in the bag. Overall, more of a 3-star experience, where we had anticipated a more luxurious hotel.

The Zillers Boutique Hotel

My husband and I really enjoyed Zillers and would stay there again. It had immense charm and character, something we look for when traveling abroad, and a terrific location for easy walking to historic sites. It was informally elegant, as we prefer. The pretty rooftop restaurant breakfast was a highlight of the stay, serving a gorgeous array of foods and treats, with excellent service. We wish we had had dinner there! The only con’s regarding the hotel was the tight hotel room space: though we apparently had the most expensive rooms, there was limited space to walk and especially store our belongings, to the point that we couldn’t really unpack our suitcases due to insufficient closet and bureau capabilities, yet also not adequate room to keep two suitcases open either. We made it work, but this issue was a large drawback and something Tasos should know and discuss with clients in advance.

Kimkim and most especially, Chris, planned the most wonderful trip to Crete and Rhodes for us. I spent a long time with Chris in the planning, and made some changes, but he was wonderful about being flexible. Everything worked beautifully. Transportation was easy, our hotels were amazing (really amazing), we had several excellent private walks, and many recommendations for activities to do on our own. Chris arranged rental cars for us for a few days both in Crete and Rhodes, and that was easy as well. Chris even arranged a fabulous dinner for us on the last night of our trip, which was our 45th anniversary. The attention to detail was what stood out for me. Our hosts in Chania and Rhodes were lovely and helpful. Somehow Chris managed to arrange good weather as well.
We had used kimkim once before, this was our second experience, and I'm sure it won't be our last.

Our guide knew EVERYTHING about Rhodes. I was especially interested in the Jewish Quarter, so he started with that and probably delved into that topic more than he might have otherwise. This was a 4 hour tour, so he was good about letting us sit and rest once in a while. He even introduced us to his friend who ran a gelato shop, and we had a perfect snack about halfway through. I would recommend him for a tour for anyone, so knowledgeable.

We rode wood E bikes with the nicest guide and toured a section of Santorini that was close to the beaches. It was mainly up hill going out which the e-bikes helped and down hill returning. We visited a village, hiked, had lunch, walked on the black beach, toured the tomato paste manufacturing museum and biked. If we come back we would like to explore this area more fully.

They were very nice and it was fun to be out on a catamaran for the day with a large group. They had nice snacks and drinks after each stop to swim.

We so enjoyed the family that taught the cooking class and it was hands on which both my husband and I enjoyed. We were able visit their farm where they grow everything for their restaurant while our dishes cooked. Afterwards we returned to enjoy a fabulous lunch.
