The team at the Niche Hotel had a sweet welcome for us when we arrived - with rose petals all over our room and making a heart with the word "love" spelled out on our bed. It was such a sweet way to start our engagement trip.

O.M.G. I asked Siena at KimKim for the best suite she could find for the final night of our engagement trip to Greece and she ABSOLUTELY delivered!! We stayed in a suite with the view of the Acropolis, that also had a balcony and overlooked the bustling city of Athens. Since we were only staying one night, we bought pizza and a bottle of wine and just took in everything right from our amazing room. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Eva was absolutely the kindest and most accommodating host you could ask for. And the location at the city center of Chania was amazing!! Wouldn't wanted to have stayed anywhere else.

The views are to die for but beware there are many stairs!! Can’t have cliff side views without putting some work in. Food was good at the restaurant but you can get better in town

The bedrooms are to DIE for, from the double rainhead shower to the high tech blinds and the personal hot tub. We didn’t want to leave!! Quiet area and lots of privacy

Our tour guides, jiannis and Nolan, were extremely friendly and fun to be around. They had as much fun working as we did being on the tour!

We did not know that we had a private tour until the day of, which made our day! Having your own private driver and tour guide makes you feel somehow famous

Very difficult to have perfect weather for something like this, possibly something you want to wait for the week of to book. We were both freezing and got sunburned at the same time

Stately Venetian mansion tastefully turned into a 15 room hotel. Interesting details such as indoor pool, glass floor in entry to showcase remains found and excavated below, incredibly high ceilings in gigantic bedroom - might be hot in the heat of summer (too many active pigeons outside to leave windows open for air)

Prime location with beautiful views, hospitable staff and great service; preordered breakfast delivered to our doorstep each morning. As with much of Oía, steps are everywhere and very steep. The dark cavern of the bath which featured black lava rock, black commode, and minimal lighting was less than desirable BUT it gave insight into layout of old cave houses that are sprinkled about the island. We were surprised we had to climb 3 steps to get onto the foot of the bed which was elevated quite high off the floor (to accommodate a view to the caldera if one chose to sleep with open window?). It was a once in a lifetime stay here but we wouldn’t choose to stay here again…not a negative, just not a repeat for us.

Fun time cooking alongside a native woman in the comfort of organized outdoor space to learn about Cretan foods and then sitting down to enjoy lunching on our efforts alongside additional food prepared by the hostess. She and her husband were warm and welcoming, we were happy to have done this as a private tour event.

Made to feel like family or good friends while sailing with accomplished 23 year old captain and his first mate mother. Took the hike to top of Gramvousa Island and walked the edge of Balos Beach…no doubt a fabulous summer activity too but we had the spring views of wild flowers and greenery

Long drive for a short tour of Corinth’s ruins although the guide was a gem and very knowledgeable. Napflio featured lots of shops on pretty streets, many still closed early in the season but we don’t have an interest in shopping so seemed a waste of time for us. Lunch at a seaside restaurant was okay (delivered there by driver who seemed friendly with management/staff). One and only snafu of the entire trip on details in Napflio that the driver said he was unaware of, we added a tour of the fortification atop the city to use up some slack time there, KimKim quickly refunded our unexpected out of pocket expense to tour the fortification (somewhat hazardous walking - not recommended)

I enjoyed this hike more than anything else we did on Santorini! Lilly was a wonderful guide, and I really enjoyed talking to her about how Santorini's history and how tourism has impacted the island. And the hike itself was a wonderful way to see "behind the scenes" of Santorini. For someone like me easily overwhelmed by Fira and Oia, getting outside of the towns was a welcome change. Walking through a volcanic landscape is a very cool experience, and I'm grateful that I got to see a different side (sometimes quite literally) of the island. With the right shoes and plenty of water, I found the level of physical activity very doable. It felt good to do something so active.

I very much appreciate this tour — I learned a great deal that provided context for the rest of my time on Santorini, and our guides brought us to places on the island I would not have visited otherwise. In my opinion, the villages we visited were more beautiful than Oia, and we had the space to actually enjoy them. The only reason I didn't give this tour five stars is because it felt a little bit like our guides were trying to sell us on Santorini. They'd guide us to different picture spots and ask if we liked them, for instance, and it felt a little bit like we were on the spot to have a particular reaction. There wasn't really an attempt to find out what we were most interested in or what we already knew; there was a script, and they were sticking to it. It just made me feel a little conflicted to see how much the tour pandered to the social media influencer from abroad. I'm pretty sure our guide convinced the staff at Akrotiri to stay open a little late for us, for instance, which I felt horrible about when I realized it. Like I said, I'm so glad we had this tour, and I would definitely recommend it. I just left it feeling a little bit sad and kind of guilty about how my presence impacted these traditional villages and archeological sites.

This was another highlight for me — I enjoyed this class so much. My family is Greek, so learning how to make some of the food I grew up with — especially in this setting — felt really special. Vivian, Abdul, and Thanos were wonderful teachers and facilitators. They were kind and engaging and, before I knew it, had guided us through making a multi-course meal. This is an experience that I'll remember for a long time to come.

Our food tour with Katerina was one of the highlights of the trip for me. I think the guide makes a big difference on food tours, and Katerina was wonderful. She was just a joy to spend time with — she was warm and curious and happy to share, and I could see the same held true for her relationships with the restaurant owners, as well. And we tried so much food! Katerina picked out great spots — everything we tried was excellent.

This was a fantastic tour, and I'm so glad it came at the beginning of our trip. Our guide, Sofia (sorry if I'm spelling her name incorrectly) was absolutely wonderful. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable, but she was a pro at pacing — she navigated us to spots with shade and places to sit while she talked to us, and I was really impressed with how she structured the information. We never got too much at once, and she built on her explanations throughout the tour to connect all the dots. I was so impressed, and I learned a ton. Would highly recommend this tour as a way to understand not just the Acropolis, but the ancient city-state of Athens and its golden age.

Wow! I don’t normally enjoy loud and bumpy boat rides, but the water was so blue and in our small RHIB we felt as though we were right in the sea ourselves - it was amazing. I was laughing out loud I was having so much fun. At our first stop there was an opportunity to walk up to a castle (though my husband’s hip was bothering him - we found a private perch and drank some wine and enjoyed the view of the sea while the other guests hiked). It was too cold this time of year to swim, but we were offered the opportunity in a beautiful blue lagoon with white sand beaches. So much fun!

I’m not a wine, cheese, or olive fan, but the products in Greece are so different than what we get in the states that I even liked the feta cheese (in slices! I’ve never even seen it like that!). It was a very small group from all over the world in a sort of classroom setting and we all had fun learning how to assess different wines and how their flavors change when paired with different cheeses. Fun!

Friendly, open, and honest guide knowledgeably and expertly answered our many questions while taking us to parts of Athens we wouldn’t have seen on our own. We toured a garden, saw part of the changing of the guards ceremony, stopped for some delicious gelato, walked a pedestrian street we later went back to shop, toured a church, and ended at a restaurant for traditional Greek mezes (small plates). So fun!

The guide was so passionate about the displays we toured that we asked if he is indeed an archeologist (he is, among other things). This tour proved to serve as a foundation for the history and mythology we continued to learn along the rest of the trip. We saw some beautiful exhibits and learned a ton.

Even on a rainy day we had a great time zipping through local markets. During the whole tour the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer our many questions. We toured the open markets, sampled some traditional Greek products, had coffee and pastries at a wonderful bakery, and ended at a restaurant for lunch. Wonderful!

The guide was knowledgeable, hospitable, and super friendly in a relatable manner. We started in town and walked through Plaka and the pedestrian street up to the Acropolis, learning about the ancient theatres, temples, and other ruins. We saw cats even at the ruins! (One of our favorite aspects about Greece.) We learned and relearned, from previous tours, about the history and mythology of what we were seeing. It was great to hear different variations of the same myths and really drive home the significance of the myths and history that created Greece and the Greek culture. We ended at the museum where we could see up close what we saw from more of a distance at the top of the hill. Wonderful!

It was truly wonderful to hear the myths right in the places they were born to help us understand the history of Greece. The hosts were open to answer our many questions and we learned about the people of Greece as well as the history of the city in such a fun way! The combination of information and dramatization of the myths made for an unforgettable experience that truly helped to immerse us into the culture and history surrounding us.

Our guide was fantastic! He grew up in the small town we stayed in (Kalampaka) and was extremely knowledgeable about the caves, monasteries, rock formations, local flora, and he even knew some fun tricks with our cameras to take some fantastic photos. He went out of his way to personalize the tour to our interests. The monasteries and rock formations were beautiful, we got our daily dose of Greek cats, and we had a wonderful time.

Very nice accommodations in a great location. The young women who were there at the desk were so kind and helpful. We greatly appreciated the delivered breakfast to us in the morning !

"Small group" is 18 people. No personalized experience or content. The lunch was terrible for anyone with food allergies who needs to be able to talk to staff and personalize the experience. My kids favorite part was zoning out in the van.

This was a great tour of the Acropolis and Agora. The guide did a really good job pacing the walk and content. I'm so glad we did this tour!

This was so special - we came away with great souvenirs and we all loved learning about mosaics and making them. The women who run this workshop were awesome and so welcoming.

This visit to the family farm was so special. My kids loved the animals, the food was great, we got to make cheese, and my daughter named a goat. This was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Greece.

This hotel is a must visit. Perfect location, beautiful building with extremely nice rooms. We had all sorts of treats waiting for us in our room and the experience felt so personal. Breakfast was delicious and there was a very cool roof deck for sunset views.

Our guide Nasos made this whole excursion - he was absolutely wonderful and took such great care of our family. He provided us with the perfect amount of historical and educational context as well as the locals perspective on our drive to Balos. He set us up for our beach time at Falassarna makgin sure we had everything we needed...I highly recommend!

Even though it was a little cloudy, this experience was well worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable and had some great stories to share. We stopped in a small beach town for a quick dinner and it was lovely. The temple itself is amazing and we loved spending the sunset there.

Great education on both mythology and history. Our guide took her time climbing up to the Acropolis and the pace felt super manageable while keeping our 3 kids entertained and moving along.

Very close and walkable to restaurants and shopping in nearby Imerovigli. Angela was wonderfully helpful and fun to talk to. The suite was spacious and unique with the sky light. Cresanto had the best shower with instant hot water the whole trip. There was a bit of construction happening at Cresanto while we were there but the room was soundproof and it didn’t bother us. They are expanding. we had our own plunge pool but the weather was still chilly so we didn’t take advantage. I will say the personal pool is not very private as the walkway is right in front of it so even though it is private from the suites on either side, anyone walking past can see right in.

My husband and I loved this hotel. It was walkable to everything and had great sea views. We also loved the spacious room. Very clean and the concierge/ guest relations team were wonderful.

Our favorite stop was the pottery shop! Marble village was also cool. Oh and the olive oil press where we were able to do a tasting of olives and olive oil.

This was a private tour and we loved our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and easy going. It was a lovely day to wander around Santorini.

We enjoyed wandering up the mountainside and visiting different village. From tea, to cheese, to lunch, it was a relaxing day. We also loved wandering around the orange orchard and grabbed a great view of the white capped mountains from an unexpected spot.

Our favorite of the trip! Don’t miss out. The cooking class stood out because it took place in a sweet couple’s home who were so hospitable, we had a wonderful small group, a cozy fire (chilly, rainy day) and got to feed the neighbor’s sheep. Mr. George, the husband even shared his personal barrel of wine with us which was wonderful and he had put it in the barrel when he was 15. Great stories and family history. Fun and informative tour guide who interpreted for us as Mr. George didn’t speak English and his wife (very sweet and head chef) only spoke a small amount but was hilarious. We ate what we made and everyone had a wonderful time.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable! Poor weather but it made for fewer crowds which was a bonus especially while exploring the grounds.

Nice location but not as expected. The “junior suite” was more for kids and not 4 adults. The loft was a joke for 2 adults. You could not even stand without hitting your head!!

This place was awesome and centrally located to everything in Athens. It was in the square with Athens church. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was a great touch!!

We also visited a monetary on top of a mountain with a great view and then went to a restaurant/bar with a fantastic view. The whole tour and day was fantastic overall. Thanks Panos!! :)

Beautiful ride. We went to a cave and blue lagoon. Also got off in Antiparos to look around. Very fun!!

This was the best experience of our trip. We did not expect a beautiful sunset as it had been cloudy all day and were surprised by the most beautiful sunset ever! The crew was so nice and friendly and fun!! Maria our hostess was great!!!

The view was breathtaking, but it did lack in a few areas. The shower was darling, but we were never able to get the water to be anything but scalding or freezing. The hot tub on the deck, was cute, but only luke warm, and the pool was freezing. The pool chairs were comfortable, but old and beat up.

The view was gorgeous and the staff was so nice! The breakfast was so delicious!

It was nice to have a guide to learn about all the history at the Acropolis! It was a tiny bit to understand where to meet, but not a huge problem as they were very responsive on What's app!

It was fun to be on a boat and the food was very good! We had a fun time talking to other guests. You could tell that the guides do lots of boat trips a day and were a little systematic in all there interactions with us!

We loved getting to see so many things on the island so quickly! Our guide was a local, so he was very knowledgeable about everything on the island!

The hotel as extremely attentive to our needs. Nice pool and workout area, as well and wonderful breakfasts and a pleasant bar. Perfectly located with nice views of the monasteries.

Such a great central location for tourists! The Acropolis was less than a mile away. Room was small but felt like a luxury; in room espresso, replenished daily, with water and turn down chocolates. The front desk immediately had an extension cord available for his c-pap plug ins. The hotel restaurant was excellent; breakfast extensive and quick, the bar on top had an exceptional view, and we enjoyed our best meal in their downstairs restaurant.

Lack of details given to us before "boat" ride made for a bad start. Driver was knowledgeable about area, but the driver of the boat had rudimentary English. Although I had a nice hike on the island if I had known about the jarring boat ride I would have passed on this whole day.

Our knowledgeable guide took us past the LONG ticket line! At many stops along the way she explained what and why we were looking at this or that; so helpful as we passed by Greek ruins. She was ahead of our questions; why is the marble a different color, where did it come from, the Caryatids were Painted? Etc. She told us about care of neighborhood cats, the owl on the Euro. She carried a notebook of pictures to help us understand what it would have looked like. At the Acropolis Museum she explained our way through the displays, the chronology, the work of restoration, the amount of Greek artifacts in other countries. My son enjoyed her talks about the political aspects of the Parthenon.

Arion Athens Hotel is perfectly placed for a proper Athens experience. Set right in the heart of amazing cafés and restaurants, it feels authentically local while still being within easy reach of all the major historic sites. Despite the central location, it’s remarkably peaceful, we woke each morning to birds rather than traffic. Our room had lovely views of the Acropolis and overlooked a charming little church and courtyard, which added to the sense of place. The rollaway twin bed for our son worked perfectly, and breakfast each morning was just right to set us up for a full day of exploring. Comfortable, clean, and attentive. Exactly what you want from a city stay.

Klymeni Traditional Homes in Nafplio is the sort of place you book for a night or two and quietly wish you’d arranged your life around instead. Beautifully done, new, and extremely comfortable, we found ourselves spending most of our time simply relaxing there. The terraces offer stunning views, surrounded by orange trees, and the whole setting is wonderfully peaceful. When motivation strikes, it’s easy to call a taxi into town or have food delivered. The host was extremely helpful and always on hand. We could quite happily have moved in permanently!

Our Ardamis Traditional Guest House in Monemvasia was exactly what we'd hoped for and actually better than we expected. Historically historic, full of character, and set in a genuinely perfect location. The host provided remarkable care and attention, making everything feel effortless, comfortable and personal. Five stars, without hesitation.

The Nafplio eBike Adventure was a brilliant way to explore beyond the town itself. The bikes were excellent, high-quality, all properly sized, with helmets included. We were even picked up and dropped off at our accommodation. The e-bikes made the surrounding hills feel surprisingly effortless, opening up parts of Nafplio we’d never have reached otherwise. We rode to a historic monastery, up to the main fortress overlooking the town, and then down toward the coast, stopping for a thoughtful picnic of homemade food at a small cliffside church. It felt remote, peaceful, and rather special. Hurcules himself made the day. Warm, personable, and generous with his time, he shared stories about the town, his life, and his family that gave us a much deeper sense of place. Along the way, we even stopped to pick and eat fresh oranges straight from the trees. A memorable, beautifully paced day that combined just enough activity with plenty of moments to simply take it all in.

The Private Tour of the Villages of Mani was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable days of the trip. Kostas and Maria made it feel entirely unhurried, shaping the day around us rather than the other way round. We explored Gytheio, the Diros Caves, Areopoli, and finished in the beautiful seaside village of Limeni, each stop offering something different, but all equally memorable. The pace was perfect, giving us time to take it all in without ever feeling rushed. What stood out most was their generosity with time. Like the rest of our Greek experience, it felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with people who genuinely cared that we were enjoying ourselves.

The Private Tour of Monemvasia Castle with Wine Tasting was, without question, the standout of our entire trip. If one day captures our trip for us, it’s this one. Effi met us at the castle gate and guided us all the way to the top, sharing the history as we climbed. As a former archaeologist on the site, her connection to the place was so authentic, you simply couldn't take it from a book. On the way back down, she introduced us to friends who run a small shop along the main street, where we were treated to local wines, olive oil, and delicious food. They were generous, warm, and completely our people. The kind of experience you can’t plan for, but hope to stumble into. A truly special day, and one we’ll be talking about for a long time.

The Private Delphi Day Trip was a highlight of our time in Greece. We were picked up from our hotel and driven through some genuinely stunning scenery, our first real glimpse of the Greek countryside, which set the day off beautifully. Marcos, our driver, shared thoughtful insights into Greek culture and daily life along the way, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. At Delphi, Theodore brought the site to life with a clear and engaging explanation of its history, all set against those extraordinary views. The day finished with a wonderful meal at a family-run restaurant overlooking the mountains and olive groves, simple, authentic, and exactly what we'd hoped for. Seamlessly organised, truly memorable, and a perfect intro to Greece beyond Athens.

The Ancient Athens Acropolis & Mythology Walk was a great way to experience the essentials. We joined a small English-speaking group and covered both the Acropolis and the lower town, which made for a well-paced introduction. Athena, our guide, was excellent, bringing the stories and myths to life in a way that kept everything engaging and memorable. The tour leaned more toward mythology than architecture, which worked well for the group, though I’d have personally enjoyed a bit more detail on construction and design. That said, it likely struck the right balance overall.
