Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Athens and enjoy the breathtaking views of the coastline as you make your way to your first stop, the Corinth Canal. It is an artificial canal connecting the central Mediterranean Sea to the Aegean Sea. You can take your time here to take pictures and walk on the old bridge connecting two sides of the mainland. 

Your next destination is the impressive Palamidi Fortress, one of the Venetian rule's largest and most well-preserved fortresses. Nestled atop a 790 feet (216m) hill, this place offers a stunning view. If you're up for a challenge, you can take the famous 999 steps up to the castle, which will take around 30 minutes. Or, if you'd prefer a more leisurely approach, you can get your driver to take you – though you may want to take the stairs down to enjoy the beautiful view! Following that, you'll hop on a boat for a 10-minute ride to explore the floating Bourtzi Fortress, located in the middle of Nafplion's harbor.
