What you'll do
Your experience begins at the base of the 18th-century Spanish Steps, one of Rome's most recognizable and buzzy gathering spots. From here, your guide leads you into the historic center, navigating Rome's maze of cobbled, narrow streets layered with Roman, Renaissance, and Baroque history while sharing insights into daily life, local traditions, and the events that shaped la Città Eterna.
Before long, you'll arrive at the Pantheon—one of the best-preserved monuments of Ancient Rome and the only intact pagan temple still standing. You'll have the chance to appreciate the facade that inspired countless architects, admire its massive dome, marbled floors, harmonious proportions, and ingenious engineering, while learning why figures like Michelangelo considered it a work of divine inspiration.
Continuing on, you'll reach the Trevi Fountain, where cascading water and sculpted stone create one of the city's most memorable scenes. Your guide will share the legends behind the fountain before you toss in a coin to ensure your return to Rome. A short break follows for gelato at a favorite local spot—an essential Roman ritual and a welcome pause during your stroll. The most challenging part of the day will be deciding which flavor to try!
The experience concludes at Piazza Navona, a grand Baroque square built atop an ancient stadium and animated by artists, musicians, and cafés. Centered around Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers, it's the perfect place to linger, people-watch, or ask your guide for recommendations on where to enjoy your next meal.
