What you'll do

Your five-hour adventure on the Aegean starts with a pick-up from your hotel or at a local meeting spot. Transfer to the small port of Ammoudi Bay, just below Oia, and meet your captain, crew, and the rest of your group as you board your luxury catamaran. After a quick briefing, you'll chart a course south, making your first stop at the tiny volcanic islet of Palea Kameni, famous for its hot springs. You'll have 30 minutes to swim and soak in the healing waters before continuing the journey south.

As you cruise the dazzling Aegean waters, keep your camera close to capture iconic coastal beauty spots like Indian Rock and the Akrotiri Lighthouse. Your next stop is for swimming and snorkeling off the cliffs of White Beach and the neighboring black volcanic pebbles of Mesa Pigadia. Here, you'll have an hour to explore as your crew prepares a delicious Greek-style barbecue lunch of souvlaki, salads, and sides accompanied by Santorini wines.

Your final stop is off the island's famous Red Beach, where you can swim and admire the rugged red cliffs formed by ancient lava flow. Then, it's time to grab a spot on the sundeck, sip a cold drink, and watch the sun dip into the Aegean Sea as you cruise back to Ammoudi Bay.

Tips for future travelers

The bus trip to get to the boat was a little scary as we had to back way down a steep hill to get to the boat launch! The driver was good at it, but it was a little alarming how fast we were going backwards and how steep the hill was! It seems like we could have walked down and felt a bit more safe!

This was terrific. We made 3 snorkel stops. There were only 24 of us on the catamaran, plenty of space to find a spot you like. The beverages were limited to wine, beer, soda. The food was terrific and plentiful. The captain and the crew were attentive, professional, and fun. Read more

Take a pill if you get seasick. They do offer towels so you don’t need to bring your own.

This cruise was definately worth doing. All members of our family enjoyed. Lovely views, ability to swim and snorkel and great lunch provided. Guides also provide some local information of sites seen. Can be quite a long trip - travelling in July means that sunset isnt until 9pm - but you stay out on the water until you have seen the sunset which is amazing. Read more

Tips for future travelers Bring a good towel, an empty stomach (to eat good food), and maybe an extra shirt for the sunset because it can get cold on the boat. Read more
