Standing on the Praça de Figueira, this hotel is just on the border of Alfama, Lisbon's Old Town. Walk to Alfama's most famous sites, like São Jorge Castle or the 12th-century Lisbon Cathedral, in just 10 minutes. The Rossio train station is just a block away, which can take you to the fairy-tale castles of Sintra in about 40 minutes, making this hotel an ideal base to explore Lisbon and its surrounding sites.

There are around 80 rooms with a contemporary, cozy design of minimalist furniture, leather furnishings, and a brown and blue color palette. This historic building follows its original layout, so some rooms may be smaller than what modern guests are used to. Book a Family Room or City View Double for extra space, as the Standard Double mostly just fits the bed and not much else. Some rooms have free-standing soaking tubs, but they may not include showers, so be sure to check before booking. City View rooms look out over the Praça de Figueira below.

The hotel's main common area is its restaurant, The Squadra, which occupies the ground floor and offers an Italian menu.
