"Travel as much as you can, as far as you can, for as long as you can. Life is not meant to be lived in one place." This is my motto. I’m from Italy, specifically Naples (yes, the birthplace of pizza)!
Traveling has always been my passion. Since childhood, I’ve explored much of Europe and traveled to various destinations in Australia. A few years ago, I had the fortune of living in Malaga, where I fell in love with Spanish culture and cuisine (yes, I could eat croquetas every day!). So.. here I am! I've moved to Spain and am happily an adopted madrileña.
Living in Spain has also allowed me to visit Portugal. Do you know what "Saudade" means in Portuguese? It’s a deep sense of homesickness and nostalgia, with no exact translation in other languages. It’s a feeling many experience when returning from Portugal.
At Espíritu Travel, I specialize in planning trips to Italy and Portugal. I’m excited to help you create the perfect journey to discover the wonders of Italy (my beautiful homeland) and Portugal and experience for yourself the essence of saudade.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I craft and create custom-made trips and exclusive experiences in Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Morocco too. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"My curiosity led me to study foreign languages at the university, which means having a focus especially on the culture and customs of a foreign country. This is why I decided to guide my career in the world of tourism, and thanks to a Master in Tourism Management, I have turned my passion into my current job. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"One of the most unique experiences I had was in Oporto. I was visiting the cathedral Sé do Porto, and I came across a woman who was restoring one of the walls of the patio full of typical "azulejos". While she was painting thoroughly the blue tiles, a man played a traditional Fado song with his guitar. It was magic!"

This was a nice hotel tucked away in a quite part of town. It was perfect for our visit to Venice. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable.
Hotel Garni Snaltnerhof
Ortisei
We enjoyed this hotel. It was in a great location. The room was sizeable and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We were not expecting the public transportation ticket that came with the room. This came in very handy and we used public transportation for 2 days with ease. It was a super perk.
This hotel was very unique and reminded us of Ikea with the more modern style. The room was large and clean and the shower was great. Breakfast was very good.
Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel Des Arts
Verona
We enjoyed this hotel. It was close to the main train station for easy access. We didn't realize the room bar was included until arrival but it included only 1 beer and some water and juice - not really a great perk... The room was sizeable, clean, breakfast was really good, the shower was nice.
Antica Locanda dei Mercanti
Milan
We really liked this hotel. We were not aware before hand that you have to enter a hallway to access the hotel. When we arrived we entered the hallway and someone came and closed the large doors behind us. It was a little scary for a moment until we found a stair case leading up to the hotel and were greeted by hotel staff. The room was comfortable and large and the shower was excellent!

This was a fun experience. The explanation and directions of where to go were lacking some details. The experience was in the upper most floor of a building that had to be accessed by ringing the doorbell. While we figured this out easy enough it would have been easier to have that information up front. The cooking class was fun and the chef was fun and interesting.

A very well executed trip and we returned home ready to plan another international trip. Both guides in Rome from LivTours were Great and would highly recommend them to our friends. Colosseum, a lady..Solevia(?) and Giovani for the Vatican. Same with St. Marks & Doges Palace, Pizza class, Amalfi Coast with Vinny from New Jersey. In Naples & Veiled Chryst was a terrific local professor, she was great too. A hiccup for Pompeii with finding our now larger group ended up with another terrific guide in Thomas, Tom or Tomas so this also worked out although waiting for all the others in that group took an hour. Our Trekking in the Chianti Hills was an ‘experience’ and I should have asked more questions…we were not prepared for a 10 mile up/down hike so we called it early and were picked up after 6.4 miles. Dealing with trains was easy after the first one. Hotels were good, only hotel with a washer/dryer for laundry was our first stop…Numo. Not a big deal but we had read that some of our hotels had “laundry” but it ended up as a service only, to send clothes out to have laundered. So we did clothes in the sink and hung up to dry the rest of the trip to stay fresh. We searched & found several restaurants that did not have a ‘Carnival barker’ outside trying to bring you in. And we found good food and deserts. We did 15K - 25K steps each day and lug our two carry on suitcases over the streets and through neighborhoods so we got immersed in each city from the get-go.

Condominio Monti Boutique Hotel
Rome
Roof top breakfast and evening bar was pretty great.
Relais Della Porta
Naples
No view since there as scaffolding surrounding the hotel and the large door was surprisingly noisy with outside sounds easily coming in. Part of the renovation maybe. Terrific breakfast, nice staff and interesting set up in the room. Very tall ceiling, 2nd floor master, made it difficult the have the temperature comfortable for day time and sleep time. But we were not in the room much accept to sleep so it worked.

Really great staff and breakfast. Great location and would stay there again.

Temperature was controlled at the main desk…very interesting but we made it work.
Very nice with a great breakfast and great staff.

You had very nice drivers for us and wonderful guides here and there. Roberta at Pompeii was so informative and that was a great experience for Nate and me. Maddie and I enjoyed the experience cooking with Madia done through Loliv.com and Claudio, and the golf cart experience at Alberobella. i have already recommended both to friends who are traveling to Puglia in May and in October. The October couple has used KimKim in the past -- in fact, they were the couple who recommended the agency to me years ago. It was great fun to explore --an amazing experience to be with Nate driving the Amafi coast (!) -- so wonderful to be in Puglia with Italians, rather than tourists from all over the world. And I learned that I can, indeed, get myself through airports, trains and cities by myself when I have to . Altogether a satisfying trip for me, one I hope the grandkids will remember fondly, and one that has taught me that I will be able to travel without my late husband. Thank you for all your input, planning and execution!

Great fun to move around with the golf cart. The guide was on a Segway, and had grown up in the town. He had wonderful stories and experiences to share. Have the transportation made is possible to see just about the whole area in the 3 hours, as well as stops for a little shopping and lunch. Lunch was at a local's home, with a cooking demonstration and stories about the couple who lived there shared by the guide. We were also able to see the inside of a house that had been brought up to date and was currently a residence on the Unesco side of the town, as well as a house recreating what the former residents had for living space.

Truly, one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. The hotel staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The location was terrific and the hotel itself simply beautiful. We will definitely stay here again when in Rome.
Domus Volumnia Country House
Perugia
This is a very small place, but the staff is so kind and helpful. It is very peaceful, although a bit out of the way from the center of Perugia. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, clean place to say I would recommend this holiday house for sure.
I’m not certain that I would stay here again and that it is truly a three star hotel. The lobby area and the dining area were exceptional. The pool was beautiful. The rooms however, are very very poor in their furnishings. One of our rooms, even smelt very musty. But the location was wonderful. Again, the exterior of the hotel was really pretty and the staff was so kind and nice in the restaurant area. One night we even ate at the hotel and the food was so delicious. For us it was just the rooms that were terribly lacking in comfort and decor.
Hotel Orto de' Medici
Florence
This is a definite five star hotel not a four star. It is beautiful inside and the staff is so very helpful. The location is perfect as well. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. Very luxurious very beautiful. And we enjoyed our aperitifs before we headed out for dinner. The person in charge of the bar area was so kind and gave us beautiful history of the resort in the area. A definite asset to the hotel.
