Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Amman

Welcome to Jordan! After you land at the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), your driver will meet you at the arrivals hall and take you to your hotel in Amman

If you arrive early, you can also take a cooking workshop or go on a guided tour of the city. 

Day 2: Jerash, Ajloun Castle, and Orjan

In the morning, you'll take a trip north to the ruins of the Roman city of Jerash, where you can wander down the Colonnaded Street, visit the temples of Artemis and Zeus, and sit in the enormous Hippodrome, where chariot races used to be held. 

In the afternoon, you'll travel a little further north to visit Aljoun Castle, a Muslim fortress. Then, you'll go on a guided hike to the small village of Orjan, have dinner at a local family's house, and spend the night as guests in their homestay.

Day 3: Hiking in Wadi Mujib

Today, you'll visit the mosaics and churches of Madaba before continuing on to Wadi Mujib, a narrow river canyon. There you'll be able to hike through the water, climb up waterfalls, swim, and float downstream. 

After your hike, your driver will take you to the village of Dana, and you'll have some time to explore the village in the evening. 

Day 4: Hike in the Dana Biosphere Reserve

Today, you'll go on a guided hike through the Dana Biosphere Reserve, from the village of Dana to your ecolodge. Once you arrive, you can relax and enjoy your peaceful surroundings.

Day 5: Free Day at the Ecolodge

Spend the morning enjoying the activities the lodge offers, including biking and cooking. In the afternoon, your driver will take you to Petra to spend the night. 

Day 6: Full Day at Petra

Spend a full day exploring the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra. You'll start by walking down the mystic Siq, see the famous Treasury, and then hike up to the High Place of Sacrifice. You can also climb up the 800 steps to the Monastery, Petra's largest monument.

In the evening, you can walk out to the village by the Siq trail. 

Day 7: Ride Donkeys and Hike up to Jabal Haroon

From the village of Wadi Musa, you'll be able to see a high mountain with a white peak sticking out between the mountains of Petra. This is Jabal Haroon, which translates to the Tomb of Aaron (the brother of Moses). This is where you'll be hiking today.

Your Bedouin guide will meet you in the morning with donkeys, and you'll start your ride up the mountain. Once you get closer to the top, you'll continue on foot to the top, where you'll have spectacular views over the immensity of Petra, city of the Nabateans.  This is a fairly intense 6 to 9 mile (10 to 15 km) hike, with some climbing involved. 

Once you descend, you'll have a free evening in Petra. 

Day 8: Jeep Safari in Wadi Rum

Go back to Petra, or enjoy a free morning. Then at midday, your driver will pick you up and take you south to the desert of Wadi Rum

Here a guide will take you on a three-hour Jeep tour that will reveal some of the desert's secrets: Nabatean Inscriptions, steep rock canyons, and rock formations. 

Then, you'll spend the night in a traditional Bedouin-style camp. 

Day 9: Hiking in Rakabat Canyon

A driver will pick you up from your camp and take you to Rakabat Canyon. You'll hike up the canyon, and then trave to Barragh Canyon for a second hike. 

After a full day of hiking, you'll have dinner and spend the night in Barragh Canyon.

Day 10: Climbing the Jebel Burdah Rock Bridge

After breakfast, you'll head out to Jebel Burdah, where you will spend the rest of the morning climbing the Jebel Burdah Rock Bridge. 

Lunch will be served after the descent. Afterward, your guide will take you to another nearby bridge, which is a lot easier to climb. 

Finally, you'll say goodbye to the desert and drive to Aqaba to spend the night. 

Day 11: Free Day in Aqaba

Relax in Aqaba

You'll spend the next couple of days in Aqaba and have some free time to relax. You can go snorkeling or diving, ride a boat, or explore the town. 

Day 12: Free Day in Aqaba

Enjoy your second free day in Aqaba by hitting the beach, snorkeling, diving, or wandering around town on foot. 

Day 13: Float in the Dead Sea

In the morning, your driver will take you on a four-hour trip to the Dead Sea. There you can float in the mineral-rich waters, enjoy a mud treatment, or simply soak in the sunshine. 

Day 14: Departure

Say goodbye to Jordan!

Today you'll be able to enjoy a final few hours at the beach before heading to the airport for your flight home.
