Welcome to Portugal! Arrive in the Faro Airport, located on the shores of the Ria Formosa Lagoons, one of Portugal's top natural wonders. You will be met by a private driver, who will transfer you to your accommodation. Choose between Vila Joya in Albufeira, located 40 minutes away, or the Conrad Algarve, located in Quinta do Lago, a 20-minute drive. 

The Vila Joya is a relaxing green paradise with an Eden-like garden, and the Conrad Algarve is modeled on an 18th-century Portuguese villa with stunning marble, fire and water elements, and Moorish architecture.

Start your day with a visit to Tôr, a traditional village with a rich wine-making heritage, to learn about the production process, and taste premium Algarvian wines. Enjoy the panoramic mountain views as you sample regional tapas of bread, olives, goat cheese, smoked ham, and chorizo, and try the world-famous Syrah. 

In the evening enjoy a sophisticated 6-course Mediterranean tasting menu at the 1* Michelin restaurant Bon Bon, complete with a personalized wine pairing. Each dish in this dinner is beautifully crafted in a modern and unique interpretation of traditional Portuguese flavors.

For dinner head to an exclusive culinary experience at the Vila Joya, headed by 2* Michelin chef Dieter Koschina, and watch as the full 12-course meal is prepared directly in front you as you joke and laugh with the chef.

Enjoy a late-morning lie in before heading out to lunch at the 1* Michelin restaurant São Gabriel for a creative menu which combines Portuguese ingredients with a contemporary twist, showing Chef Leonel Pereira’s Algarvian roots. 

After a relaxing afternoon head to a guided local brewery tour to try the local brews, mostly light craft beers, as well as an exceptional award-winning stout. 

Day 6: Clam Picking, Oyster Tasting & 1* Michelin Star Gusto

Spend a few hours in the morning in the crystal blue waters of the Ria Formosa with a local clam picker on a traditional wooden fisherman's boat, joining in an ancient tradition of clam picking. Tour an oyster nursery and sample local sparkling wine to complete the relaxing morning. 

In the evening enjoy a vibrant Scandinavian-inspired 5-course dinner at the 1* Michelin restaurant Gusto, run by chef Heinz Beck. The restaurant features cutting-edge culinary techniques, a lively open kitchen, a Cuban cigar menu, and an alfresco terrace with views onto the infinity pool.
