Day 1: Yangon arrival
Welcome to Myanmar! The former capital of Yangon, also known as Rangoon, is Myanmar's largest city and continues to be the country's most important commercial hub. After checking into your hotel, visit Kyauktatgyi Pagoda, home to a large reclining Buddha statue with intricate carvings. Afterward, you will make a quick stop at the Royal Lake in Kandawgyi Park, then visit the legendary Shwedagon Pagoda.
Day 2: Yangon - Flight to Bagan
This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bagan. You'll go to an elevated location amid the temple plains to observe the pagodas and temples from above. Have a look around Ananda Temple—one of the most recognizable of Bagan’s temples—and break for lunch before driving to the river and boarding a private wooden boat for a peaceful cruise down the Irrawaddy River.
Day 3: Bagan
Visit Shwezigon Pagoda, constructed by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century. You will then travel to a small village where you can walk around and get a glimpse of the life of Bagan’s residents, followed by a visit to lesser-known temples in the area. In the afternoon, tour Old Bagan and Ananda Temple, an architectural work of art and one of Bagan’s most recognizable temples.
Day 4: Bagan - Flight to Heho & Inle Lake
Fly to Heho and transfer to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, you will have an opportunity to visit rural workshops that specialize in traditional Shan paper and unique handcrafted umbrellas. Later, go for a cruise on the canal that leads to the open lake. The quiet waters of Inle Lake are dotted with floating gardens, leg-rowing fishermen and stilt houses. Discover Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main haven, which contains five sacred images of Buddha decorated in gold leaf.
Day 5: Flight back to Yangon & departure to Thailand
Catch a domestic flight to Yangon. Depending on your flight schedule, you will have time to visit Bogyoke Market, better known under the name of “Scott Market,” to stroll around the stalls filled with handicrafts and do some shopping. Enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing and sampling local dishes at the city's many restaurants before catching an evening flight to Bangkok.
Day 6: Free day in Krabi
Wake up in Thailand! Today you'll have breakfast in Bangkok before transferring to Krabi. Upon arrival at Krabi airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After checking in, enjoy free time at your leisure. Go the beach, take a nap, have fresh seafood for dinner, and get ready for the second week of adventures.
Day 7: Klong Thom District & Emerald Lagoon
Today, you'll go straight to Klong Thom District. Krabi’s natural attractions are not only islands and beaches. First, this tour will take you to hot springs for a relaxing dip. Then move onto the Emerald Lagoon for a rainforest walk to explore the region's different species of plants and animals. After lunch, visit Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua), one of the most beautiful temples in Krabi.
Day 8: Hong Island & Ao Thalane
Transfer to Ao Thalane Pier. Board a boat from the pier to Hong Island. Enjoy views of the scenery around Hong Island, then kayak around the island, relax on the beach, or swim in the clear water of the Andaman Sea. In the afternoon, you'll explore Ao Thalane, surrounded by towering rock formations and lovely offshore islands.
Day 9: Free day in Krabi
Enjoy a free day in Krabi for sightseeing, shopping, relaxing on the beach, and leisurely meals. Explore the dramatic limestone cliffs of the coast, day-trip to the Phi Phi Islands—known for its giant boulders—or take a boat to Railay Beach, a favorite of rock-climbers and sunbathers alike.
Day 10: Krabi - Departure
Have breakfast at your hotel, then travel to Krabi airport for your outbound flight. Safe travels!
