We loved Rovinj, Plitvice lakes but really loved everything. Food tour in Zagreb was great, Boat ride to Hvar and swimming in Brac were great. Everything was great and the weather cooperated.

This hotel was our only disappointment in a wonderful trip. When we checked in, we were shown to the annex in the back through a dark alley, we climbed the first set of stairs and then another steep set of stairs and arrived in a room that was only big enough for a bed. When we needed to walk down the stairs, there was no motion light or switch so the first part of our descent was in darkness. The staff was friendly, we loved Rovinj but our stay could have been a disaster.

Nikola planned an incredible trip for us! We’ve never used a travel agent before and it was so worth it. Everything was tailored to our interests and the entire trip was so smooth. We had great communication with Nikola before and during the trip so there was never any stress! Our tour guides in each city (Ivana in Split, Grgo on Hvar, and Mariya in Dubrovnik) were locals who brought great insight into real Croatian life in addition to tons of knowledge about their areas. We have already recommended Kimkim, Nikola, and Croatia to everyone we talk to!

Sara and all the KimKim staff were very helpful. We received quick responses and stellar customer service. I really enjoyed the 1st driver we had from Zagreb to Split. I did not enjoy the second driver as much and there seemed to be a mis communication when going to Ston. I thought we were going to be left alone to explore the are a for a bit and grab a quick lunch. He gave us a tour which was nice but not expected. We were then led toba wall and informed to cross it that it would cost 10.00 euros. I wish all that was comminicated ahead of time. We were tired and hungry and not prepared for that. We just wanted to grab a quick bite and leave but was driven to a fine dining establishment where they took about 2 hours. We all wanted to walk out. However overall, places were nice and people quite helpful.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip through Croatia. Tina put together an excellent itinerary that gave us the opportunity to experience Croatia from Split north through Zadar, Plitvice Lakes, Istria and finally Zagreb. We enjoyed every town we visited, and the overall routing and pace worked very well for us.

Our two private guides were among the highlights of the trip. In Split, Dino was outstanding. As a college professor of history, he did an excellent job introducing us not only to Split and Diocletian's Palace, but also to Croatian history. He was knowledgeable, engaging and brought the history of the city to life.

Our private tour of Zagreb with Josipa was equally excellent. She was one of the best guides we had on the trip and every bit on the same level as Dino. Both guides added tremendously to our understanding and enjoyment of the cities they showed us.

We used VoiceMap to explore Zadar on our own, which worked very well.

Plitvice Lakes National Park was another highlight and is an absolute must-see. It is beautiful and extremely well organized. We could easily see returning someday and spending more time exploring the park.

The accommodations were generally very good. Our room in Split was large but fairly basic. The hotel was a short walk from where we were dropped off, as we had been told, and breakfast was good.

Zrinka House near Plitvice was outstanding. The rooms were excellent, and Zrinka and her daughter Barbara provided exceptional personal service. We would highly recommend staying there.

Hotel Mauro in Poreč was another excellent choice. The location in the Old Town was perfect, the staff provided superb service, and breakfast was excellent. Because the hotel is in the pedestrian area, parking is located elsewhere, but the hotel's shuttle service between the parking lot and hotel worked very well. Parking was €20 per day, which Tina had made us aware of in advance.

The Best Western in Zagreb was very conveniently located in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of the city center. Breakfast was excellent. Our only negative was the size of the room. It was extremely small. There was not enough room for both of us to access our luggage at the same time, so we had to take turns.

We ultimately decided to skip Hum on our drive to Zagreb and headed directly to Zagreb instead. Throughout the trip, the self-driving portion worked well, and the final transfer from our Zagreb hotel to the airport was seamless.

The primary area where our experience with KimKim and Tina could have been better was communication during the planning process. There were several occasions when questions went unanswered for days, and on one occasion I followed up by asking whether we were still working together. This became particularly concerning after we had made final payment.

To Tina's credit, when I raised the issue directly, she acknowledged my concern, apologized and addressed it. Communication improved considerably as our departure approached, we had her WhatsApp number if we needed assistance while traveling, and she checked in with us as the trip approached. Once we were in Croatia, we felt comfortable that we had a way to reach her if we needed help.

There was one unfortunate oversight involving the truffle hunting and tasting experience that was included in our package but inadvertently left out of the final itinerary. We did not discover the error until after the day it was originally supposed to occur. Tina immediately took responsibility, apologized and offered to arrange the experience for the following morning at no additional cost. We decided to continue to Zagreb instead, and Tina promptly requested a refund for the missed activity. Mistakes can happen, and we appreciated the way she handled it once it was discovered.

Overall, this was a wonderful trip, and we are very pleased with the experience Tina put together for us. The itinerary was well designed, the accommodations were well located, the driving portion worked well, and Dino and Josipa were exceptional guides. Most importantly, we came away feeling that we had experienced several very different parts of Croatia rather than simply visiting one or two major tourist destinations.

Tina deserves a great deal of credit for putting all those pieces together. More consistent and timely communication during the planning process and closer attention to the final itinerary details would have made an already excellent trip even better.

A shout out to Ivan our driver who is a superstar. Tour guides at all stops wonderful. Just a bit could be better at Lake Bled guide.

My sister did most of the planning with Sara but it seemed to go very well.

We just got back from a 12 day trip to Croatia. We worked with the KimKim specialist Nikola and the itinerary was perfect. We started in Zagreb and got a rental car delivered directly to our hotel. We made our way down through Zadar and the Plitvice National Park. We had the freedom to stop at little towns like Rastoke, Sibenik, and Trogir. Nikola even helped coordinate with the rental car company to get it picked up in Split. We then stayed in Split and ferried over to Havar and then Korcula and ended in Dubrovnik. We had city tours in each city and an amazing boat excursion in Dubrovnik. Our guides were wonderful. We also had plenty of leisure time to do our own things. The biggest luxury this trip provided was every place had "luggage assistance" or someone there to greet us and help get us to the next lodging location or excusion. My Mother-in-law said she felt like royalty. We booked this trip with the help of KimKim because my in laws are in the late 70s and I needed to know they could physically do this trip. Navigating transportation and luggage with them has started to become a challenge. With this trip, they were taken care of all along the way. Every evening we received a text from Nikola letting us know the exact schedule the next day. Nikola was always available and responded immediately when we messaged him on the trip with any questions or needs we had. The accommodations were wonderful and the app was extremely user friendly and easy to get the documents/tickets we needed. This was a trip of a lifetime and I would recommend and use KimKim again in the future.

This was a beautiful apartment located in the hills of Korcula. We had access to a lovely beach near a fun restaurant. We loved the apartment set up with multiple bathrooms, gorgeous deck, and a washer/dryer!!! Only complaint would be how far away it is from Old Town and the cost to get back and forth. When we arrived at the hotel, we were trying to navigate working with our travel agent, the car rental company, and the hotel regarding out rental car pick up. We were told by our agent to park the car and let the hotel know where it is at and the rental car company will come and get it. When we arrived, the hotel check in women was not happy that we parked the car (since its paid parking) and wish we would have called the hotel first and not parked. The hotel has a couple of spots reserved we could have used. We understand why she was frustrated but several times she criticized our travel agent for not giving us the hotel number and telling us to call before parking. I understand there was a miscommunication and it meant she needed to coordinate with the rental car company and figure out where we parked the car but she was very unprofessional to criticize our travel agent for this miscommunication. Our agent was wonderful our entire trip and did not need to be criticized because of this. She could have handled it all very differently. She could have had us move the car to the new spot, like we offered, or be annoyed without making that very clear to us. This was just a very negative beginning to our stay all for us to have the luxury of getting our rental car picked up for us. We were thrilled that it was getting picked up and we did not need to return it ourselves.

On the other hand in Zagreb was amazing.

It was Clean and sufficient, but it needs to be updated. The locks on the door were difficult to manage and the bed head towels in place of sheets. It was very strange!

In a word... Magical. Croatia is simply stunning... the landscape, the seascape, the people, the history and the food create a location that is a bucket-list must. We had never been there, so the thought of doing all the research and putting together a trip was daunting. That's where Sarah and Ivan come in. The developed a perfect itinerary, covered all the details and lined us up with guides, drivers and lodging that never missed. When bad weather caused one outing to be cancelled, a quick text to them resulted in a new outing within 20 minutes that turned out to be one of the great memories of our trip. Having them tracking with us during the whole time made this a zero-stress trip of a lifetime!

Good day. The whole trip was a success and really wonderful. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and courteous and professional. Our bike and kayak hosts were great. Shared homemade wine and treats and were also knowledgeable in history! Our boat crew mates for the island hop were delightful and lots of knowledge as well. Everyone was great to us even the taxi guys. It was a great trip.

Ivan did a fantastic job of listening to me and selecting activities that were fun and exciting. The drivers were professional, safe, operated clean vehicles, knowledgeable and always prompt. The tour guides (biking, kayaking, winery, guided walks) were very accommodating, service oriented, knowledgeable and comfortable to be with. The extras provided were always a nice surprise. The breakfasts in each hotel was delicious and had a huge selection to choose from. My first complaint is that the hotel in Korcula was a little warm and a little uncomfortable to sleep. I also heard another man complaining about this at the front desk. I also believe the towels were older and need to be replaced. I plan to look at a trip to Thailand for 8 people in November 2027 and hope to have the same great service that Ivan provided.

The trip was great from planning all the way through implementation. The country is beautiful, the populace is friendly. All the guides were well-versed in their subject areas and were friendly, too. Really enjoyed Darko!

Knowing nothing about Croatia and having heard wonderful comments, we visited for a week following an eclipse trip to Spain. Kimkim worked with Royal Croatia Tours to organize an efficient trip over one week. We stayed in Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split and Zadar along the Adriatic Shore, with day visits to Cavtat and Sibenek. We traveled by ferry and private car. There's no train service. This region's history is fascinating, from pre-Common Era to date. Dubrovnik's Old City and Split's Roman Palace were most engrossing. The hotels were all excellent, comfortable and located close to walkable destinations. All our drivers spoke excellent English, and were personable and well informed. We had good support from Ivan and Sarah, with Royal Croatia Tours. For instance, we had a boat trip cancel due to weather. They immediately refunded that cost. Cafes and gelato shops are plentiful and Croatian wine is very good. Croatia is working hard to build up its international reputation as a visitor destination, and the hospitality of its people is obvious. If you enjoy beaches, water sports, and historic sites, Croatia is a treasure.

Our guide met us promptly and provided an informative tour of the historic parts of town and the Roman Palace. We stopped at four or five cafes to sample the good croatian wine, small bites, entree and pasta courses. Croatian meals are similar to other Mediterranean countries. In addition to the food part of the tour, we learned a great deal about the construction of the huge Roman Palace, and what many subsequent regimes have done in the area.

Our driver and guide, Doris, was a pleasure. While she was a consummate professional, she was also personable and entertaining. She accompanied us to the little beach town of Cavtat and lunch at a family farm. It was a customized visit and we enjoyed the food, tastings and venue very much.

Our recent trip to Croatia, arranged by Robi , was amazing! We had a perfect balance of activity with cycling, hiking and walking and kayaking with Tours of the city, which were fun and interesting. We had asked for some off days to relax and he gave us tips and recommendations on those as well, which were optional. Robi was very attentive, and I spoke with him daily about the plans and modified some that I thought would work better with our schedule. Our guides were great from Zagreb with Andrey and Stephen to Sofia and Zadar and Perro in split. They were all engaging and informative. We spent three days with Goran and he took us cycling, wine tasting, and island hopping on a speedboat and we had a blast. He has a great sense of humor and my husband really bonded with him over cycling and music and those few days were super special. I don’t have one criticism about the trip as it was executed perfectly. All of the guides and Transportation people were on time and friendly. We rented a car and that was seamless. So if you’re going to Croatia, which I highly recommend, use Robi at kimkim and you will not be disappointed. We travel a lot, and I feel confident to say this was our best trip ever!
