Kimkim Trip Reviews for Croatia

All of guides were so interesting. Everyone were so unique . The tour was amazing.

Every one of our guides were punctual, personable, full of interesting information and professional. Antonia was unbelievably efficient and helpful. She made everything happen perfectly and picked wonderful activities.

Sarah and her company have been phenomenal at organizing our trip. We had a lot of complicated requirements - there were 4 active families with kids of various ages, and some people arriving and leaving at different times. All private excursions were great, well organized and ran smoothly.
Sarah was available day and night to answer all our questions and helped re-organize things when our plans changed. For example, when 2 families decided not to rent cars, she organized private transfers at very reasonable prices at the last minute.
And not forget all the restaurant recommendations and bookings she did for us! She got us into great places despite the peak season full restaurants, especially in Hvar.
Coming from New York City, we are used to high quality customer service, but I would call Sarah’s agency a true “white glove” service for people who want to experience authentic Croatia and not worry about logistics.

Anna-Maria helped us plan a week-long trip to Croatia where we visited Dubrovnik, Split, and Hvar. The itinerary she put together for us was well adapted to our group and preferences and planning along side her was easy. She was always responsive and provided us with as much information as we needed both before and during our trip. Anna-Maria made it easy for us to travel from one city to another by booking our ferry/rides and providing specific details so that it was super simple for us to get from one place to another. She helped us sort out minor road-blocks along the way so that we always felt as though there was someone there supporting us while we traveled. As far as the bookings: all of our accommodations were excellent and we were well taken care of at the various destinations we visited. Our excursions included a guided bike tour, speedboat tour, a trip to Krka National Park, and oyster tasting. Each one was excellent, but we really enjoyed the guided bike tour in Hvar which gave us a glimpse of a different side of Croatia. Overall, the entire trip went seamlessly thanks to Anna-Maria's planning and attention to detail. Within just a few days, we saw, did, and ate so much more than we probably would have on our own!

Sarah was beyond superlative and arranged for an absolutely fabulous 10 days for me, my wife and our daughter. She was always available to be sure everything ran smoothly. Here recommended accomondations in Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik were wonderful and transport between locations was easy and efficient. We also had great guides, Tanya in Dubrovnik and Jelenna in Split and Rachel in Korcula. Likewise drivers Evo to Krka and Balfour to Mostar was warm, experience and very nice to be with.

Those hotels we all great locations and highly comfortable including Hotel Cornaro, Hotel Korsal, Villa King and even the last night’s accommodation close to the airport was very enjoyable, Hotel Stacija.

I highly recommend visiting all these places. Each had its own special attraction.

Again, Rachel was terrific help and made our trip superb.

We are so grateful that Antonia managed to organise an amazing trip in only four days, allowing my husband and I to meet in Croatia having been separated due to Covid-19 on different continents.

Antonia took great care of us with meticulous attention to detail such that everything was very well organised and ran smoothly. This included a daily itinerary update sent on WhatsApp and being continually available for any questions we might have.

The accommodation was universally lovely, and we appreciated the variety we experienced. We had five tours within the trips, and it was a real delight to talk to the guides and learn about the local culture and history. Every experience arranged was enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the natural history of Plitvic (thank you Petra) and Mljet Island, the culinary experiences (with Grgo and at the Kameni Dvori Estate) and of course the winery visits with John. My husband particularly enjoyed the opportunity to experience the stunning countryside on the self-drive part of our tour and on the bike tours (despite me slowing them down!).

A fabulous visit to a really beautiful country. Thank you so much Antonia for making this possible, we will definitely return.

Thanks Robi and his colleague Bruno to make our trip in Croatia a such wonderful experience! Not only we visited all the places that we wished for, they took extra effort to take us to the places that we didn't know before but they were definitely worth to visit, such as Trogir, Sibenik, some small villages in Istria region. I like the arrangement to have guide tour at each place then have some free time to explore, we learned so much history and interesting stories about those places. I also truly appreciated that they handles all our luggages, make reservations at restaurants, call hotel to confirm our arrivals, everything was arranged so nicely that we did not need to worry about anything but enjoy our trip. I definitely think we made the best choice and I would highly recommend Robi and Bruno to my friends who want to visit Croatia in the future! Thanks again Robi and Kimkim for providing the platform.

We asked Robi for a half guided half self guided trip of Croatia. He designed a program with us in mind that hit all the spots. I am good in many languages mostly Germanic but I have no basis of understanding of Croatian so for me a disadvantage. Robi got us immediately. We don't love crowds and love nature at its finest. At one time we thought we might do a boat tour of the islands with a small boat tour. Then we thought a gain. Who does those kind of trips? Older folks with not much to do but tour the islands and go off for excursions to buy baubles that will gather dust till the contents sale of their homes. We wanted something more active but not active every day some days restful at the beach or hanging around and doing our own thing. We did a few amazing bike tours that when Robi realized an Ebike might be great for our daughter and my wife he provided them and they went from unhappy bikers to power bikers with a flick of a switch. The bikes rides are great and an ebike makes a grueling ride easy for those who are not dyed in the wool bikers.

The places we stayed the tour design was done very well and by someone who knows the place extremely intimately well. Many of the places were apartments similar to Airb&b which is great for us as we are vegetarian and like do some of our own cooking. Food prices in restaurants are not cheap as elsewhere but the food in Croatia is extremely good. Their pizza rivals anything I have tasted in Italy. Tourism is so busy in Croatia especially in the big cities such Split and Dubrovnik that it is almost impossible to get a seating at a restaurant in the desirable locations.

Robi was always straight up and told us what we needed to know including that diving in Croatia was nothing special unless you wanted to go wreck diving.

Robi provides a level of service that is hard to find and will make your vacation that much easier. The addresses and locations of things are very difficult to find even for well seasoned travelers like us.

After we walked the walls of Ston. Robi dropped us off in Mila Ston to enjoy the beack which we did. Before he left he asked if we needed anything. I jokingly said "dos cervezas por favor" and he showed up with a couple of cold beers. It was lovely.

Robi is also a licensed boat captain and we chose to rent a rigid inflatable and tour the islands. Its the best way to see them. The ferries are slow clunky and leave at all inconvenient times. Having a boat is a definite plus. Even though I have a boating license I would definitely recommend getting a someone to pilot its tricky.

All in all. We loved Mario our initial guide for the Plitvice lakes and the next day. He is lovely and took us to a secret location known only to locals for a swim. This place was a gift that no tourist would find (for good reason).

Having a car in Croatia especially in the small cramped old cities would be a burden. There is almost no parking and what parking there is costs a fortune. I would recommend against if for a relaxing holiday.

All in all to sum up we had a great time, our tour was setup beautifully, we had the best of both worlds on our own and with a guide.

I would suggest if you don't go with Robi you are selling yourself short. He knows the intricacies of Croatia like nobody else and loves to share his knowledge and love of his country. He has a wacky sense of humour and was prepared to go the extra length to help us our in every situation.

Much of what we saw and did would not have happened if not for Robi.

Viva Croatia. Viva Robi.

Antonija and Jared did a great job planning and coordinating our ten day trip to Croatia. In Split our guide Andre took us on a great trip yo Plitvice Lakes. Hvar is a magical island and our favorite stop on our tour. Villa Nora was superb. In Dubrovnik our highlight was visiting (and tasting) an oyster farm in Ston.

Antonia was fantastic from planning to sending us home. She was professional, prompt, thorough, well-informed, and always available. I will recommend her services to my friends.

We recently visited Croatia on short notice and only had about 2 weeks to plan the entire trip. We wanted to see alot of the country and we have done self driving tours in the past, so thought that would be a good way to experience alot. After searching google for " self drive tours in Croatia", I landed on the kimkim site, which put me in touch with one of their parners in Croatia, Robi @ soulofcroatia.com. I can't say enough nice thing about this young man. He was extreamly helpful in asking lots of questions to custom tailor our vacation to our wants and needs. He stayed in touch throughout our trip to make sure we were happy with everything and to find out what we liked most about his country. You could tell that he was genuinely excited for us to discover all of the great places he had selected with us to visit and gave us a small history lesson of each place. Everything was planned perfectly with plenty of downtime when needed. On one of our last days, I wanted to rent a boat to explore some of the surrounding islands of Dubrovnik, but found out the local laws prohibited me from doing so without my boating licence, which I did not have. Robi was kind enough to spend the day away from his family to go with us, as he had his licence, and I was so glad that he did ! He took us to locations I would have never known to go to on my own. We had one of our best days with him, and it was really nice getting to know him and finally put a face with the voice on the phone. One of the best parts of our trip is that we made a friend. If you ever plan on visiting that part of the world, look up Robi at soulofcroatia/acdc

We were looking for a custom trip combining an active multi-sport vacation with sightseeing and a family reunion (of my scattered family in the US with relatives in the home country). Anna-Maria was one of the few agents willing to take on a challenge like this, and she put together the experience of a lifetime! Her thorough knowledge of the various regions in Croatia combined with her connections in the country produced a unique and first-class experience, even despite the numerous challenges of COVID-19.

Sarah was extremely helpful & thoughtful in planning our week in Croatia! We enjoyed the visit as well as excursions planned by Sarah. Our accommodations were clean, modern, & in central locations. Sarah is quick to respond to any messages. Croatia is a beautiful country & the people we met were kind. Definitely recommend visiting Croatia & trusting Sarah to plan your trip.

This trip was amazing beyond words in large part because of the itinerary put together by Sarah. We saw and did so many things that we definitely would have missed without her plan. The sites, the food, the guides, the transfers- all were a perfect blend of scheduled activity and free time. Sarah was also very available & responsive to our needs & questions. We would definitely recommend your services to others. Well done!!!

Wow! Our trip with KimKim was totally awesome! Great communication before, during and after our trip - daily check-in's, superb guides and drivers...I cannot say enough about how awesome KimKim! The primary agent for us in Croatia was Sarah, who did such an incredible job making sure everything from meals to transfers to guides were absolutely the best! We are so very happy with our trip, and you can be sure we're telling everyone to book with kimkim!

Antonia is a dedicated, knowledgeable, perfectionist. Of course, because of Covid, we had over a year to plan and really get to know one another, but I would venture to guess she can accurately assess a client's needs in any amount of time. I wanted to experience Croatia from every possible vantage point in a modest time frame, with a relatively meager budget (bucket list anniversary trip). She asked a series of questions and based on my responses, proposed various itineraries.

Over time, we settled on a 9-day adventure, starting in Split, visiting Trogir, Skradin, Hvar, and departing from Dubrovnik. Antonia was unexpectedly able to greet us upon our arrival in Split and was simply a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. The darling goodie bag she presented us was filled with useful, appreciated, thoughtful items. We shared a brief coffee/meal and set out to enjoy an exquisite city. Our hotel was perfectly located inside the walls of Diocletian's Palace and central to everything.

Each day, sometimes multiple times a day, she would check in via WhatsApp, but she was also communicating with drivers (multiple personalized tour guides, private transfers) and hotel operators to ensure we were properly cared for and had our tickets for various excursions.

Clearly, the team with which she works are deeply committed to client experience. Every guide, driver and hotel seemed customized to our eclectic tastes. We wanted eco-tourism, hikes, deeply local (non-touristy) experiences, heritage hotels, but also a couple days of luxury. We requested history, archeology, wine tours, beaches, nightlife, and hiking. That's not an easy order...on a budget...but she over-delivered. Over and over again.

I have recommended her to everyone I know planning a trip to Croatia and will use her again as soon as we can. Spectacular!

My "Trip Specialist," Antonia, was wonderful to work with. Her client service was excellent.
She arranged an unforgettable experience to Croatia.
Thank you for your attention to detail and making sure both Kathy and I were completely satisfied.

My family's trip to Croatia was truly a trip of a lifetime, and we owe everything to our amazing agent, Antonia Ljustina. Antonia made everything easy. I worked with her for several months to design the ideal trip -- she was incredibly patient with my questions and concerns about COVID-19 travel requirements prior to booking. Then she met us in person on our first day in Croatia, provided all of the necessary documents and information, and even brought us some welcome gifts. Antonia was available 24/7 during our trip and checked in with us at least daily. She is impeccable, professional, detail-oriented, and truly cares about her client's experience. Everything was arranged including pre-arrival hotel check-ins and transfers between sites. Simply, the 6 city, 14-day trip went off without any hiccups because of her efforts. I could never have arranged a similar trip on my own. Croatia is beautiful and I have zero regrets. I'm so grateful to Kimkim and Antonia for the perfect vacation.

Anna-Maria made this trip so easy and unforgettable. The personalized excursions were absolutely fantastic! I have recommended Anna-Maria to 2 of my friends who are planning to travel to Croatia in the near future! Thank you again!

Robi was incredible from start to finish. I decided to go by myself to Croatia last second and on a budget. I normally do not do guides or tours but since I was trying to have an "aggressive" schedule, I decided to reach out. Robi was very responsive and presented different options to try to fit all of my crazy requests to see everything in such a short amount of time. I was extremely happy to have him as a guide as it made it seem like I was traveling with an old friend and he was flexible with scheduling. The days were long but Robi's positive attitude and jokes made it not seem like we were out all day. He provided local recommendations and suggestions that helped round out the trip. The trip was better than I could have imagined and that really was thanks to Robi. Hope to see him again!
