Sarah was great to work with in planning our family trip to Croatia! I usually plan my own trips so it was different for me to use a trip planner. Sarah was extremely responsive throughout the entire experience including when we were in touch with her once we were on the ground.

We enjoyed the sampling of cities — Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik — that gave us a taste of what Croatia was all about. Hvar was our family’s personal favorite. Through our interactions with our bike tour guide and boat excursion skipper we got a sense of the local culture and pride in the island.

Sure in retrospect there were a few things I would do differently, but we had a good first experience with Kimkim and I know how to better communicate our interests the next time.

Room was spacious and front desk staff was nice but hotel was a bit far from the old city for our liking. It was closer to some other restaurants by the marina and was walkable to sunset beach but it was too far to go back and forth to the old city multiple times in a day. We had a power outage out last night but the staff worked quickly to get the generator back up and running.

Nikola was above and beyond amazing. We had such a great trip. Nikola had such great insights and suggestions. From planning and designing our itinerary at the outset, to making adjustments and changes along the way, and being available and immediately responsive on our day to day questions and requests. Even last minute same day restaurant and hotel reservations were made and changed. Nikola has great energy, knowledge and enthusiasm about his country. The trip would not have been nearly as seamless and special without his guidance. Could not recommend him highly enough!

Hvar Half-Day Private Island Tour (Afternoon)

touring Hvar with Grgo - who’s family goes back hundreds of years to the first recorded resodents on the island - was a highlight. He took is to his family home and winery, and into a 350 year old rock wine cave where we had a tasting. It was fascinating to see a part of Hvar and hear stories that you would never see or hear in the main cities.

The entire trip was amazing. The excursions, the drivers, the apartments were wonderful. The steps to the apartment in Dubrovnik were difficult to manage, but the location was good. I'm not one who gives out 5 stars loosely. This absolutely was a 5-star trip to Croatia. Our specialist Bruno was professional, attentive to our requests, quick to reply and very patient. We spent 9 nights in Croatia with 3 nights each in Dubrovnik, Korcula and Split. Bruno was able to balance our days with tours and activities but also enough down time to relax at a beach or freshen up for a nice meal and evening. We had walking tours in both Dubrovnik (with Ana) and Split (with Mia). Both young ladies were extremely knowledgable about their country's history but also willing and able to answer any questions we had be them history related or not. We were thrilled to hear that Mia would also be our guide for a trip to Krka National Park. Mia's energy and personality is both refreshing and enviable. George, our tour guide on Korcula took us around the island and was a delight. We really enjoyed his stories. We took the ferry over to Hvar one day and had a driving tour with Venko. We had some very interesting conversations with him. All of them were flexible with weather-related changes and all were very professional. We also had a great day on a boat ride to a number of islands. While Steve drove the boat Marin took great care of us--a very fun day. Bruno planned wine, olive oil, oysters and mussels tastings, hikes, a bike ride and I'm sure I'm missing some other things. Bruno coordinated all connections with ferries, guides and cars with no issues. I will definitely be recommending Bruno to friends who are planning trips to Croatia and I was so impressed with him and KimKim that I am using them for our next trip to Japan.

Hotel Korsal is in a perfect location. It is easily walkable to the ferry or the town. There is a beach right in front of the hotel with paddle boards and kayaks for rent. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful with tables both indoors and out. We also had a delicious dinner there. The waitstaff and reception staff are probably the nicest group of hotel workers we have ever met. There is nothing they wouldn't do for you and always with a smile. They notice if you have a favorite drink or like a particular table. The area is very quiet at night. We had a suite with a very comfortable bed, a spacious living area and a balcony overlooking the water.

Krka National Park- 1 days trip from Split

The park is beautiful with some gorgeous waterfalls. There are crowds-the later it gets the worse it gets. The hike is easy to navigate. Bring lots of water.

This was a really long but very fun day. The boat was very spacious with space for both sun and shade. We snorkeled in a couple of places, went swimming in beautiful coves, Marin told us about each island, took a bike ride on Lastovo and had an amazing lunch.

Pelješac penisula and Ston + wine tasting

There was so much to do on this excursion. The salt flats were interesting. We watched a short movie and walked around the area. It's not a big place but we found it quite interesting. It was very hot that day but we still walked the path from Ston to Little Ston. It is A Lot of steep steps and in the heat it is difficult. It took much longer than anticipated. We have been on a number of winery tours in the US and Europe and we still learned new things form this tour. The wines were very good and it was the only winery we went to that shipped to the US.

We couldn’t have asked for a better trip than the one Bruno planned for us. Croatia was my dream trip for 10 years and I had a rough idea of the big things I wanted to do but no idea where to start. With so much to see and 11 days available Bruno gave us the best possible guide through it. We were able to see parts of Istria, travel inland and go to two different national parks, as well as visit Dubrovnik and Split AND do a cave tour and we never felt rushed. Robert (Robi) took time to understand our travel preferences and build multiple itineraries for our consideration. Once we landed on a 7-day plan that took us from Zagreb down to Dubrovnik, he kept us well informed of the steps leading up to the trip. During the trip, we received daily messages about the towns we’d visit, restaurant suggestions and detailed instructions on where/when to meet our guides. All of the guides Robi connected us with were spectacular - Mario in Zagreb, Borna in Plitvice, Pero in Split, and Antea in Dubrovnik. Happily, we also spent the better part of a day with Robi, visiting the town of Ston, exploring local wineries, and getting a thorough history lesson on Croatia.

We have always had a great experience with Kim Kim and this is no exception. Thanks to Robi and his network of exceptional guides/historians, we had an incredible adventure in this beautiful country, Croatia!

Our trip was beyond amazing and so well-orchestrated from beginning to end. The patience and guidance in planning is perfect for family traveling (such as us) or just someone who needs support visiting new countries. And they were able to meet all of our requested tours within our limited days in country! With 3 teenagers all with different interests and being the first international travel adventure for 2 of them, that is an accomplishment in itself.

Duje (spelling may be off but our driver from Zagreb) was the family favorite. He shared the rich history of your country, was able to answer all our questions, was engaging, sharing off the beaten path insight into cities and parks, and provided the insight into Croatia and its people we were looking for.

Each day of our trip was made stress free by the seamless coordination of the drivers, guides, hotel staff, and Nikola's fast answers to any questions we had. Sarah ( Dubrovnik) and Jo ( Zagreb) were our in city tour guides that your cities should be proud of. Both provided sites unknown and off the typical tourist track we visited on our own with our free time. As we spent one day in Zagreb without Jo then were able to tour with her on our last day, I can tell you SO worth it. She turned the city alive with her excitement and fun little-known facts/hidden secrets- it was such a memorable day about Zagreb!

Food recommendations met all our needs and if you don't put your recommendation of Dvor on your regular recommendation list, you are crazy! Great view, great service, so unique - one of my entire family's favorite meals.

From the pre-trip planning, to execution, to departure, Robi was amazing. He thoughtfully organized our tour in Croatia according to our needs. He was flexible where necessary (and he had to be because there were a few unpredictable changes due to travel issues), very knowledgeable about Croatian history and current events, an excellent driver, and a great guide. Furthermore, it felt like he really cared about our enjoyment; checking in continuously and making sure that everything was running smoothly. Planning our trip through kim kim was so smooth. It gave us a framework of ideas to start with and then working with Nikola allowed us to customize every activity & type of accommodations along the way. We were a bit overwhelmed with planning all the details and having transfers and pickups eliminated any stress. Each location was similar in beauty, yet unique in style The variety of activities we had did gave us a sense of history, natural beauty, & people.

A few of the highlights included a traditional Mediterranean cooking class in Split, a private beach club in Hvar overlooking turquoise water, evening sunset cocktails on top of a fortress in Korcula, wine tasting on the Pejesac peninsula, finishing up with a private tour in Dubrovnik and lastly our favorite was a full day private boat tour of the Elaphiti Islands! We can’t say enough about how professional Robi was in his daily communications as well as working with our budget and being flexible with the group needs!!! Last, it was clear how every guide that he works with really loves their home country and was so passionate in sharing their history with us!

The Valamar Collection Dubrovnik President Hotel was really nice and stood out as one of the highlights of my trip. The room was super spacious, which was a welcome comfort after staying in smaller hotels. It was particularly nice to enjoy the space after living out of a suitcase for a while. The amenities were excellent, with a pool and beach access. The availability of a gym and a spa center where amenities like the sauna and whirlpool were free of charge made it perfect for some downtime and relaxation.

Ston Oysters Experience & Wine Tasting

This was such a fun day and we learned so much! Matthew and Luca were perfect hosts. They educated us about oyster farming and all the steps it takes to bring a yummy oyster to your table. In addition, we ate amazing oysters and mussels. After the Ston Oyster Experience we went to the Rizman Winery , where we tasted different types of Croatian wines as well enjoyed the beautiful views.

Our eight day trip through Croatia was spectacular. Can say enough good things about Bruno who set up EVERYTHING for us. He arranged wonderful accommodations, made suggestions for different sites to see while touring and stayed in contact with us daily to ensure safe travelling. Had wonderful tours in Split with Mia and another great tour with Ana in Dubrovnik. These tours were very personal in that it was just my family and the guide. My wife and I loved working with Kimkim so much that we have already booked a vacation with them to Greece in October. Kimkim has incredible customer service.

Bruno was amazing in helping me plan the trip with quick responses and timely suggestions. The whole tour was quite smooth and very enjoyable. All of the hotels booked were in excellent locations - near all the major sights so it was convenient to explore on our own. Overall it was a great trip and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Croatia and Bosnia&Herzegovina. Hope to visit again someday and explore more places.

Stress free travel to a magical country! Bruno was most accommodating and Although we were not as responsive as he would have liked in planning, he was always gracious . The guides were top notch; with private tours in all 4 cities. All connections were A+. Our Hotels were mixed. The Dubovnik and Split stays were 4 star as expected with delicious breakfasts. Our hotel in Hvar was a spluge 5 starPalace Elizabeth, pure heavenn! The planned hotel in Kortula was closed at the last minute and the replacement offered had sad odd dark rooms with no amenities and slim breakfast . The town is a gem, so we were glad we made it. Will recommend Bruno and KimKim to our friends.
