Just to see all the ice hotel rooms and ice sculptures was amazing! Sadly the warm weather had caused some melting

What a cute and unique property!

Nice hotel, the clothes dryers were a nice touch! The sauna was nice. The 3 course dinner menu was really tasty. Christina was an awesome dinner host we enjoyed chatting with her!!

OMG, these dogs are AMAZING! Despite some but warmer than normal conditions the staff made sure the route was safe for the dogs. It was awesome to be on the sled and feel their power! The were so excited and happy to run!

Our guide Rikki Martin took us to some great sights , so cool to see the beauty of the island and the natural landscape!

The reindeer feeding was great they are very cute and learning about the Sami culture from Jon Michael was very interesting!

Arbo was an amazing guide. He really went out of his way to take us far out to try to see some northern lights despite some cloudy weather condition conditions. We did see a bit and he took some great pictures for us.! He also did a great job at trying to keep us warm with a great fire and warm meals !

The weather really put a damper on some views and we weren’t able to go to the fishing village , but the crew made the most of it by providing more informational content and samples of the fish for us.

The highlight of our trip ! the tour and staff were excellent and it's not just a demonstration. you actually learn the drive the sled and manage the dogs and then go out for 10 kms!!

The cabins are snug and comfortable. The decor is welcoming and beautiful. The wall fronting the fjord is glass, as is a third of the roof, providing panoramic views to watch the northern lights if they make an appearance. The hot tub was great! My only complaint is the limited dinner menu.

This hike was a bit strenuous but I made it. The trail is well maintained and popular with locals and other tourist groups. Even though the parking lot was full, we didn’t see too many other people and most of the time we had the trail to ourselves as long as we kept moving. The scenery was amazing.

Our guide is very in tune with the first surroundings and shared his knowledge with us along the way. The trails through the forest are well marked, and the experience was very relaxing and mildly challenging, which was what we were looking for. The area was adjacent to our hotel and our guide met us there. The equipment was in good condition and easy to use.

We had a great night under the stars and auroras. The warm clothes and boots they provided was everything we needed to be comfortable. Our guide instructed us on how to operate the snowmobile and then we rode under the stars to a place where we could see the auroras.

In the heart of the city center. Beautiful room and very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Complementary breakfast was delicious!

Rustic but modern. Sparse but everything you need. The personal hot tub was a big hit. So cool to enjoy under the stars with it snowing. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was great! Even had a few reindeer on site to feed and interact with.

This hotel is beautifully appointed. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was outstanding!! Everything from bacon and eggs to fruits and oatmeal to cold sandwich fixings. The restaurant on site (The Artic) was phenomenal!! The perfect stay! Highly recommend!

Lowry our host made this experience outstanding!! He provided everything we needed to stay warm and dry. The actual ride was amazing!! Plenty of time on the snowmobile with lots of spectacular views. We all had a blast. I loved that it was just the 3 of us in our group. Made you feel catered to.

The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell they were proud of their heritage. The farm was beautiful and the ride was relaxing and offered views of the forest that were stunning!

Risto our guide was outstanding!! Even though conditions were not optimal for viewing the Northern Lights he drove us to nearly Sweden where the skies were clear enough to see. The photos he took were magazine quality!! Being on a frozen lake added to the experience of the lights! This was an incredible experience and the main reason for our trip.

Geowdy our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Very upbeat. The falls were beautiful and the hike was good. Challenging but doable. They provided everything needed to stay warm and dry.

Though no one helped us to our cabin with such heavy luggage and mushy snow, the cabins were beautifully designed—cozy, modern, and perfectly positioned to take in the stunning Arctic surroundings and gave us a deeper appreciation for the beauty and culture of Lapland. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime Arctic getaway, Aurora Village is it. We left with full hearts and amazing memories.

We had such a wonderful day exploring Helsinki—it was the perfect mix of charm, culture, and relaxation. The city is incredibly walkable, making it easy to take in the beautiful architecture, waterfront views, and unique design touches around every corner. We loved strolling through the local markets, enjoying fresh food and coffee, and taking in the laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere. The blend of historic sites and modern Scandinavian style made everything feel both rich in history and refreshingly current. One of the highlights was simply soaking in the peaceful pace of the city. Helsinki has a calm, welcoming energy that makes you feel instantly at ease, yet there’s still so much to see and do. Our Northern Lights tour with professional photos was a decent experience overall—some nice highlights, but a few things that could have been better. Our guide was friendly and tried his best to create a positive atmosphere throughout the evening. He was organized and made sure everyone was taken care of, which we appreciated. The location itself was beautiful, and being out under the Arctic sky was a special experience regardless. We did see the Northern Lights but we did feel like our tour guide was in a rush to drop us off. He drove to 2 different locations and then that was it for the night. We did not get the professional photos until we got back from our trip and they were just ok. They were dark, cut off and a bit blurry. The turnaround time and/or communication around receiving them could have been clearer. It would have helped to know exactly what to expect ahead of time. Overall, it was a good experience but not quite as memorable as some of the other excursions we did in Lapland. With a few improvements and a bit more luck with the aurora, it could easily be a standout experience.

Our private glass roof sleigh ride and traditional winter net fishing excursion in Lapland was beyond incredible—truly a five-star plus experience and one we will never forget. Gliding through the quiet, snow-covered landscape while being able to look up at the open sky was such a surreal experience. It felt like we were completely immersed in the Arctic wilderness, with a sense of calm and beauty that’s hard to put into words. The traditional winter net fishing was just as memorable and unique. Learning the process from Arto, hearing the history behind it, and actually experiencing it firsthand gave us such an appreciation for this time-honored way of life. It wasn’t just an activity—it was a meaningful cultural experience that connected us to the land and traditions of Lapland. By far- my favorite excursion ever! What truly elevated this experience was the private, personalized nature of it all. Our guide Arto, was exceptional—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate. We never felt rushed and were able to fully take in each moment, ask questions, and enjoy the experience at our own pace. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and you could feel the authenticity behind it. Between the serene sleigh ride and the hands-on fishing experience, it struck the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and cultural immersion. Our day with the reindeer herder’s wife and family in Lapland was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience—easily a five-star highlight of our trip. The day was beautifully paced, allowing us to really take it all in—from interacting with the reindeer to enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the snowy landscape, then preparing a wonderful reindeer meal followed by some arts and crafts. There was something so calming and grounding about being there, away from everything, immersed in nature and tradition. What made the experience unforgettable was her warmth and hospitality. You could feel the pride she has in her heritage and the joy she takes in sharing it with others. It left a lasting impression on us and gave us memories we will cherish forever. Our husky safari with Sustainable Wilderness in Lapland was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, everything felt authentic, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed with both guests and the animals in mind. The team was incredibly warm and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain how to safely guide the sled and sharing insights about the dogs and their care. It was clear how much they genuinely love and respect their huskies—the dogs were well cared for, energetic, and clearly excited to run. Gliding through the snowy Lapland wilderness behind a team of huskies was nothing short of magical. The scenery was breathtaking—peaceful, untouched, and straight out of a postcard. It felt like such a special way to experience the Arctic landscape. What stood out most was Sustainable Wilderness’s commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. You can truly feel that they prioritize the wellbeing of their animals and the environment, which made the experience even more meaningful. If you’re visiting Lapland, this is an absolute must-do. It’s not just an activity—it’s an unforgettable experience that connects you to nature, the culture, and these incredible dogs in the best possible way.

Levin Iglut Glass Igloos were excellent and offered a unique experience. They were clean and aesthetically pleasing. While we didn't see the northern lights, lying under the glass ceiling amidst the fog was still a memorable experience.

The Solo Sokos Hotel in Tampere was exceptional with the best breakfast buffet we've had. Everything imaginable for breakfast was available, laid out perfectly. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, making it a standout accommodation on our trip.

Solo Sokos Hotel in Turku was very elegant and quite nice. We liked it there a lot; it was definitely one of the better accommodations we stayed at during our trip.

The train cabins were very small, but had very comfortable and clean beds.

The Turku City Walking Tour was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Turku, making the experience very enjoyable. Despite being a lot of walking, it was well-organized, and we discovered many interesting things about the city. It was a really great tour.

The SnowHotel & Ice Dinner Experience was interesting and unique. Although there was a mix-up with our schedule, the staff was accommodating and quickly served us dinner so we wouldn’t miss our train. The food was very good, and the ice hotel, with its unique rooms and ice sculptures, was fascinating, despite the slippery floors due to melting ice.

The Reindeer Adventure was definitely a standout of our trip. We loved visiting and feeding the reindeer, and the ride was a unique experience. Learning about the reindeer lifestyle and the people who care for them was fascinating. It was an outstanding part of our trip.

We were particularly impressed with our hosts in Inari who own the Lapin Tintti Eco-Cabin. Terri and Arto were fabulous hosts providing us with a wonderful place to stay and a terrific ice fishing experience. They treated us like family. We would love to go back and spend more time with them. This i a beautiful cabin in the woods. We cooked our meals, and sat on the deck being part of nature. This is one of the best places I have ever stay in. We had privacy in the solitude of Lan Land, viewing Northern Lights and enjoying nature.

A comfortable hotel with good service. The location was perfect for our short visit to Helsinki.

This is a must do event provided by our cabin hosts. Arto showed us traditional fishing which we participate in. We cooked what we caught on an open fire. What a joy this experience was.

Some what disappointing only because it was cloudy and the lights were had to find. Our driver did a good job in finding a spot where we were able to have a brief view.

The event was hosted by a wonderful woman. We fed the rain deer, leaning about the Sami tradition of rain deer herding. We were invited into her home, met her family and participated in cooking a rain deer dinner. This was a great day with very nice people.

We have dog sledded in other counties. This was the best. The owners were impressive with their loving care of their dogs. They spent a lot of time with us showing us their home and their dogs and sharing their live style and culture,

The only missing element was that the hotel / rooms didn’t had a sauna.

Took the Tallink ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. Stassi was a fun tour guide - she gave us great tour of Olde Town and was very informative of Estonian history and culture!

We spent a lovely morning walking in the snowy forest with Taru! Perfect way to see the area!

Despite a cloudy night with low percentage of seeing the Northern Lights, Jan found us some and they were magical! It was unforgettable experience!

Despite a rainy morning for the tour, Jola was fun and shared so much about Helsinki and the Finnish culture.

The SnowHotel & Ice Dinner Experience was not what I expected. While the hotel itself was fascinating, the meal did not feel special. The food was mediocre, and even one of the drivers mentioned the same about the chef. Offering something like a drink, appetizer, or dessert might be a better option than dinner if improvement can't be made.

The Amethyst Mine Tour with the Pendolino - Snow Train was not the most impressive activity for us. Despite this, the journey was made worthwhile by the stunning scenery at the top of the mountain, and our driver was fantastic, going out of his way to ensure our comfort. The snow train was less significant compared to the beautiful views and history of the area.

The Family Husky Safari was such an amazing experience, even though it had some hiccups. I handled the huskies myself, and it was quite an adventure. Weather conditions made it a bit challenging as the bus got delayed, and we were rushed through dressing and briefing, but overall, it was great. There was a little disorganization due to delays, which affected the experience slightly. I'd recommend considering private transport for a smoother experience.

The Reindeer Herder Day Experience was absolutely lovely. The homemade reindeer soup was wonderful. The private tour was well worth it and I highly recommend it. The interaction with the reindeer and the kindness of the people made for a memorable day.

The Arctic Light Hotel was lovely, but the cleanliness was lacking, especially under the bed, which was quite dirty. This was concerning given it is supposed to be a five-star hotel.

Break Sokos Hotel Levi was very nice. It's not fancy, but its proximity to the airport is convenient.

The Arctic Skylight Lodge is beautiful, but the experience was hindered by having to carry our own luggage to the cabin through heavy snow.

The Elite Hotel Frost was very nice and clean. We enjoyed an upgrade to a more spacious room, which made our stay even better.

Well worth it, but the van is pretty cramped, and it can be cold while you wait.

No oppty for Northern Lights, but Johanna took us on a great tour of the Snow Hotel, as well as on a walk. Tons of historic and cultural information. She was excellent

Really fun and learned a lot

This resort/hotel has made us want to return again and again. Looooved the cabin with the personal hottub, and really appreciated the though put into it (slippers, eyemask and bag, the provided headlamps for walking at night, heated floors, etc) We hope to be back!

What a beautiful location and amazing cabin! Great activities nearby but honestly the cabin itself and wonderful front desk staff really made us feel at home.

Nice and quiet, quick walk to town, excellent breakfast

The rooms are fantastic! Sledding right outside the front door of the rooms (on the provided sleds) is fun. It would be nice to have a shuttle to town since there are functionally no ubers/taxis and bus is very infrequent & expensive.

Kids thought it was the greatest thing ever! One adult found it interesting but had some trouble sleeping. The other adult couldn't sleep at all and was fairly grumpy.

Quiet, friendly, great breakfast

Since we were in Lapland it's only proper to see some reindeer, and we saw some. This was a well-organized tour. Unfortunately, the other guests in our group tour were talking/translating over the tour guide and interrupting her constantly. She seemed really exasperated and I felt bad for her.

This was awesome! We saw the most amazing lights - it was otherworldly. Our tour guide (Niko who works with the company Johka) was a man on a mission to get us to see some lights. He drove so far to get away from the clouds, and we had brilliant success. While I know that we were lucky, I have to give some credit to Niko's very intense reading of his solar activity apps and knowledge of the area. He's also very chatty, funny, and pleasant.

It was very very cold and I am not sure that we are natural-born snowmobilers. The dinner afterwards was fantastic and cozy. There were some northern lights above the lake & the proprietor came and got us from dinner to look at the lights, letting us stay a bit late. Excellent hospitality

This was awesome! The dogs are very high energy. Strongly recommended.

The city tour with Jonas with Estadventures was fantastic, we learned a lot! We enjoyed traveling on the giant ferry through the partially frozen sea - it was like traveling through a slurpee.

Great little boutique type hotel right in the center of Helsinki. This was a great location to walk to many local activities and our tours. The included breakfast was great!

We were lucky and had a private tour for this adventure which was great. It was nice to be active and outside! The coolest part of the excursion however was stopping in a local teepee type tent and our guide telling stories about his family and the local Sami people, and a bit about historic Finnish culture, while enjoying a warm drink. It was great!

We lucked out and ended up having just my husband and I on the tour, which was a pleasant surprise. This allowed great individualized time with the guide, who was so very friendly and fun. When I was a little hesitant about driving my own snowmobile, he was encouraging and his positivity convinced me-- I'm so glad I drove my own and had the BEST time doing it! While it was cloudy this night and we didn't see any northern lights, we had ample opportunity the remainder of the trip to make up for it.

This was the only tour that did not stand out as amazing for us on our trip. We drove around the local area and the guide pointed out Finnish homes and a small old village, as well as local natural landmarks--the lakes, etc. We took a quick trip to the top of the Pyha ski resort by lift, and stopped at the small visitor center just before closing. The guide was very friendly and nice, I just don't think this added too much to our experience of the area. (I may have mistakenly gone into this tour thinking we would get more about the Sami culture, history of the world wars in the area, etc., and it was more just a local drive). Pleasant and relaxing, just nothing remarkable.
