We had the BEST honeymoon in Greece! Tasos was extremely helpful and flexible while we were planning. He was able to work with us to stay within our budget and made multiple revisions to the itinerary to accommodate our requests and preferences. He was also very helpful after booking and about a week before our trip he contacted us about a ferry strike that would prevent us from traveling one day. He helped us quickly book alternate transportation so we wouldn’t miss any activities! We are very thankful for his time! This was our second trip through Kim Kim and we will be using their services again for any future international trips.

Eleni and Afroditi planned the trip very thoroughly for us. Everything that they planned was on time, as described, and just what we wanted. The hotels were all wonderful. All of our guides were organized, knowledgeable, and fun. All of our drivers were helpful and on time. The recommendations we followed on our own were great too. We were given a full itinerary, and in addition a bunch of helpful information about the culture, logistics, and some helpful Greek phrases. Couldn’t have asked for a better travel planner.

Eleni was fantastic. Very personable and kind. Definitely had the best interest of the tourists in mind. I would highly recommend her.

Angela was amazing to work with. She made great tour suggestions and was able to customize as we requested. She was available during our trip to answer questions and responded quickly. She was able to switch the day of a planned tour last minute and checked us in for the ferries. The private transportation and tours were exquisite. The hotels were comfortable and luxurious. My favorite Greek Island was Milos and the rib boat tour with Captain Paolo Farinola was the best part of the trip! Loved the mattress in the room the best. Blinds closed to make the room dark and slept like a baby!! Pool was awesome. We had a cave style room that was very unique! All amenities were complimentary and replenished daily. The couple we went to Santorini with was in the room next to us and we found that very convenient. Aggeliki, one of the Kimkim Greece specialists, organized an amazing 20 day "Off the Beat Beaten Path" trip for my wife and I (from New Zealand) and another couple (our friends from Canada). This trip started in Athens and moved on to Milos, Amorgos, Naxos and Crete.

We found the entire process from the planning, though to the actual trip just great. In particular:
1. Kimkim's business model is excellent. You write a description of your perfect trip and they get to work finding a specialist on their team to develop the trip. They do this pro-bono as nothing is paid until the trip is booked and they get a service fee as part of the total price.
2. Aggeliki really is a Greece specialist and is very well connected across the Greek travel community. The guides and hotels staff all knew and respected her.
3. She really took the time to understand what we wanted and the first proposed itinerary was very close.
4. Changes to plan once in-country were not a problem. We did some fine tuning along the way and Aggleliki was happy to manage the changes without complaint.
5. Hotels chosen were all excellent. They were smaller places and had a very nice vibe.
6. We literally had over 10 different local guides over the 3 weeks. They were all experts and very easy to spend time with. They were open minded to our on-the-fly adjustments and we had many laughs along the way.

In summary, this was a great experience and we unconditionally recommend Kimkim and Aggleliki.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip to Greece! This was a special trip for us as we were celebrating our 40 th wedding anniversary and we wanted the trip to be so special. Chris was very attentive to details and was always willing to tweak our itinerary to our liking. Chris was so kind to have a champagne anniversary toast arranged for us on the sunset dinner cruise in Santorini which made the day so special! We visited Athens, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. Each island had its own character and we enjoyed all the views, cuisine, and the Greek hospitality. Chris was always checking in with us to be sure all was going well which we really appreciated. This is our second trip with KimKim and they did not disappoint! We thank Chris for his guidance and excellent recommendations throughout our stay. Irene did an AMAZING job planning our honeymoon in Greece. We had so much fun experiencing Greece with the numerous 10/10 tours Irene set us up with. Irene did a spectacular job creating a honeymoon for in the go people who wanted to see as much of Greece as possible, but also wanted a little relaxation. We were so impressed! Irene had private drivers ready for us before every transfer, and everyone she chose was timely and efficient. This was the trip of a lifetime. Received first class treatment from start to finish. Our guide Leo-in Athens was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating , even taking us to a cemetery, requested by one of us . In Mykonos our guide showed us her favorite spots, and we were not disappointed. Santorini guides Kostis and Lazarus were our favorites by far. Entertaining, passionate, friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated every moment. Each boutique hotel had its own vibe. Breakfast delivered to our room in Athens and Santorini, and off the menu in the restaurant in Mykonos. Good stuff: really helpful staff, quiet and calm location away from congestion, just a block away from terrific winery with dining, lovely pool area with good views. Good, varied breakfast. Shower was small with no closure to keep water from spraying. Sometimes all lounge chairs at pool occupied.

I seldom write reviews, but in this instance I knew that I needed to let anyone know that booking our honeymoon through this site was the best decision for us. I would recommend and will continue to do so to whoever is looking to book an international trip. We could not have asked for better communication between our specialist or the ease of traveling to multiple destinations within Greece. Aggeliki made this whole experience exceptional!! She had all the transfers already planned out to and from the ports along with airport travel, this was the most stressful part for me going into the trip, but truly ended up being a breeze because of her. We did have a small miscommunication between us and one of our drivers, but was able to quickly get in touch with Aggeliki who solved it on the spot! The planning process was so easy and she was willing to give us her honest opinion on what to skip and what not to miss!! All of her time and effort made our honeymoon a trip we truly will never forget. If you are on the fence about booking through KimKim, let my experience help persuade you. We also had limited time due to jobs and schedules, and very much wanted to see Athens, Delphi, and Crete. We wanted to experience food, culture, sailing, hiking and museums in just 10 days. Tassos delivered a wonderfully thought-out agenda, combining 'theme days' with efficient transportation. Whenever we encounter a glitch or had a question, we got answers within a few minutes. All of Travel12 was extremely responsive and helpful. Tassos even met my husband and I for coffee in Athens one morning, and it was a pleasure to meet him and hear more about his journey. Thanks to Kimkim and Angela we had one of the best planned vacation experiences we've ever had. This was our 1st time using Kimkim and it is a company that we will continue to use.

As with any vacation and in this case a 12-day vacation, unexpected circumstances can occur. We didn't have any! All drivers were where they needed to be to pick us up at the right location and at the right time. All our accommodations were as described. We are very active and had activities daily that met expectation. Here are just a few.

Milos: Our 1st island and our 1st activity was a full day sailing tour around Milos. I didn't think we could sit still for 10 hours on a Catamaran, but it was a great entrance into the Greek culture from our tour guide as well as a relaxing day spent looking at beautiful sites and learning a lot about the history of the areas.

Naxos. We had a great guide, who give us a 5-hour tour of Old Town Naxos. We toured the Venetian Castle and surrounding areas. Very informative and well worth our time.

Looking back in time discovery walk. Yiota was her guide and a native of the area. She was extremely well educated and informed of the history of the area that we were touring. It was a great hike, not too strenuous, as well as going to sites and ruins that we had only read about.

Naxos Culinary Tour. Spiros was our guide for the afternoon and evening. Was by far one of the best experiences we had on our trip to the islands of Greece. Up in the mountains we visited a traditional pottery company. We then went and saw how oil was originally pressed and made. The best part was then visiting a couple who owned a farm up in the mountains and spending the afternoon and evening with them. It was the real deal. They were a great couple who bought us into their house and farm. We had dinner with them and had great conversations about their life and living in Greece.

I could go on about all the other expectations that were met but it was a well-planned and organized tour that took the stress out of our travels. I would highly recommend Angela and Kimkim.

This was so helpful for last minute questions and schedule changes--all of which were quickly addressed to my satisfaction.

We saw the most beautiful, historical, heart-warming, and breath-taking places in Greece.
We took over 1500 photos to prove it!

Wow! This tour will make you very full! We walked through Athens and tried so many different foods. Our favorite was at the end trying the different souvlaki dishes. She was amenable to what we wanted, since we were very full at the end. This is a great way to navigate a city. I always recommend food tours and this one was top notch.

This was altogether an extraordinary one month-long trip planned with great detail by our local specialist, Cristos, and his amazing, caring, and flexible Team 12! Cristos worked tirelessly until every detail was worked out to meet our needs for hotels and tours. All of our transfers were preplanned; at no time did we have to wait for guides or drivers to provide needed transfers. We had ample down time when we reached each destination with suggestions for self-guided tours before beginning with private tours. Our trip began in Thessaloniki (4 nights) where we stayed at the Electra Palace, a gem of a hotel centrally located. Our guide and driver were ready with suggestions for restaurants, points of interest, and were flexible when the focus of our tour required a change to cover the Jewish monuments and history of Thessaloniki. Our tour of this area of Macedonia included Pella and Vergina, ancient historical sites most worthwhile to visit. I am looking forward to exploring more of Macedonia on my next trip.

From Thessaloniki, we continued our trip on the mainland of Greece to Athens where we stayed in a large 3-bedroom suite apartment, Four Streets Athens (5 nights), centrally located in the Plaka district with a view of the Acropolis. Again we had time to wander about the Plaka and Kolonaki areas before beginning our private tours on the succeeding days: the Acropolis and museum, a food tour, and trips away from Athens (Epidaurus, Nafplio, Mycenae, Corinth Canal). Other very worthwhile tours included the Cycladic Museum and the Benake Museum.

From Athens, we flew to Mykonos to begin our trip to three of the Cycladic Islands plus Crete. Unfortunately, as May turned out to be a rather unseasonably cool month, we were unable to enjoy beach/swimming opportunities; however, we happily exchanged this weather for fewer crowds, especially appreciated when we got to Santorini!! Mykonos with its iconic windmills was lovely and quiet for this time of the year. We checked into the Mykonos Theoxenia Boutique, an elegant setting on the water, a few steps from town, with staff who couldn't do enough for their guests. From Mykonos we took a boat tour to Delos, an archeological site not to be missed. Our only disappointment was that we were included in a large group tour which made it difficult to understand the narrative.
On to Naxos, quite a contrast to Mykonos and then Santorini. The island's lush vegetation creates a rich farming and culinary tradition with some of the best produce in Greece, particularly famed for potatoes, cheeses, and olive oils. We stayed at the Montana Villa Naxos (4 nights), some distance from the town; however, having a driver and an excellent restaurant in walking distance (Kavos), this proved to be no problem. In in exchange, we had a beautiful view over the Aegean Sea. The grounds and pool of the villa were amazing but the weather was too cool to take a dip! The house lends itself well to a family; however, we three women experienced disappointing showering facilities (no shower curtain, high bath tubs to negotiate), but I would welcome a summer stay in spite of this detail. Our stay in Naxos included a private food and culture tour (olive oil, Greek liquor, cheeses, and lunch) as well as a private hike through the mountains with many varied sites and villages. Both opportunities not to be missed!! As our weather did not allow for beach time, we explored the many interesting shops and ruins of Naxos Hora and enjoyed a beach walk with lunch.
From Naxos, we continued on to the famed island of Santorini, much enjoyed because of the lesser crowds. Can't imagine what it must be like in summer: crowds plus the heat!! We stayed at the Volcano View Hotel (3 nights) with gorgeous pool areas and views of the caldera, just far away enough from the very busy center of Santorini. Interesting tours were arranged for us which included walks through Fira and quieter Oia. We also visited a lovely situated winery (Santorini is famous for its white wines). We had a great sail on a catamaran in the caldera from where we could get amazing views of the caldera's varied volcanic layers. The crew was professional and had a great sense of humor, hospitality and cooking skills. Great experience not to be missed. Before we left Santorini, we treated ourselves to a multi-coursed dinner at the famous restaurant, Solene. Fabulous experience, food, and service.
And so onto our last island, Crete, a famous culinary experience according to many a waiter and guide we encountered on our trip. We arrived first in Heraklion, site of Palace of Knossos. After a detailed tour of that site, we were ready to move on to Chania at the other end of the island. The old town of Heraklion has some interesting, upcoming restaurants; one day/evening is enough for this city. (We stayed at the Aquila Atlantis Hotel (2 nights), adequate for a short stay.) Chania is most charming by comparison. Our hotel, the 1400's Scala de Faro (4 nights), was right on the water (some rooms have beautiful views). The staff was most amazing and could fix any problem a guest might face. The town behind the hotel is great for wandering and shopping. As with the other islands, the Venetian influence is everywhere. So here is where our trip got 'interesting.' We were supposed to travel from Greece to Israel, but given the political situation, we were forced to look at options. Cristos sprung into action, and in no time had an itinerary for us to return to the mainland and further explore areas we had not seen (eg Hydra) or wanted to revisit (Nafplio). Furthermore, I had a bad fall on one of the beaches; our driver sensed the emergency and in no time drove me to a private clinic in Chania. All went well, transportation was provided to and from the clinic for two days. I received excellent medical care. Here is where being under the care of a caring responsible travel company and personnel was so very important!! The rest of the trip went without a hitch with Cristos finding us a charming hotel in Nafplio, Residenza di Fedralia, for four days until we were transported to Athens for our trip home.

So all in all, I can't say enough about Kimkim. Cristos planned a wonderful trip for us with a perfect balance of guided and self-guided tours. Suggestions were made for restaurants, but we enjoyed doing our own research in this category. We had very responsive support from his Team 12 &MAMAKITA) whenever needed, every question or request answered immediately. Looking forward to my next trip with Kimkim!!
