Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, great common areas to sit in/read/enjoy a glass of wine, an outstanding breakfast buffet, and a great pool.

Though it is in a nice location, the hotel is tiny, with most rooms that overlook a wall. The manager is unfriendly, crochety, and completely arrogant. He put our kids in a smoking room, claimed he was sold out and couldn't switch them until we complained to our travel agent, refused to fix the broken TV & A/C in our room and instead accused my husband of breaking it. The balconies in two of our rooms were so small that all we could do is put our clothes out there to dry; there was little room for two people to sit and enjoy sunrise or sunset. The breakfast buffet looked really nice, but most of the breads and dry foods were stale because they put them away in a nearby cabinet, then take them out every morning.

Because Santorini is so beautiful, no hotel can go wrong. But the rooms in this hotel were SO small that I couldn't stand up straight in the bedroom, and I'm only 5'4. The bathroom was so tiny I had to bend my head when entering and walk sideways. The balconies were nice but shared with so many rooms there was no privacy; one evening, the 20-year old boys staying in the room next door stayed up out on the balcony smoking and playing music and talking till 3:00 a.m., and they were so close we couldn't drown out the noise. The bar was not stocked with anything -- just empty liquor bottles -- and the bartender couldn't make anything except open some beer or wine. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice, but we spent no time in the rooms because they were so small and uncomfortable!

The entrance to the hotel is dingy, there's a tiny elevator that can barely fit two people and one suitcase, and the rooms are built sideways -- long but not wide enough. Two people cannot walk around at a time. There is no view from the balcony except into a much nicer hotel with amazing landscaping and a beautiful rooftop restaurant. The furniture is arranged in such a way that you cannot fit your suitcases. The breakfast area is dark and tiny, with only one table under a skylight that's worth eating at but that is always taken. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

The view/sunset was great, dinner was good, and snorkeling was enjoyable. But the cruise started off an hour and a half late, there were no snacks, there was only cheap wine and beer to drink instead of a full bar, and docking was 4 hours later than promised, making for a tiring day spent waiting and waiting and waiting and getting an OK experience. Also, the staff were not nice -- very busy and stressed.

The location of this hotel was extremely challenging. If you have any mobility challenges, it is a non-starter. Cobblestones, stairs, a hill, and no elevator inside. Nothing wrong with the hotel once you get to it

Amazing apartments, perfect for our family of 5. The rooftop view of the Acropolis is truly awesome. We really appreciated the breakfast food in the apartment, the cleanliness and ideal location of these apartments, highly recommended!!

We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff at this hotel who went out of their way to guide us. The breakfast was the best we experienced in Greece. The hot tubs and lovely infinity pool were a highlight also!

A family-owned hotel. The owner is very helpful, accommodations are clean. Beautiful ocean view with hot tubs for upper rooms. Only approx. 15 minute walk to Oia.

Our guide Nikos was outstanding. He went out of his way to understand our particular family input and goals and we experienced an amazing day with visit to Elafonisi beach, local Roman ruins and view of peninsula. We also enjoyed a delicious local Cretan meal together. Would highly recommend this tour with Nikos!!

this was a tour with just our family given by a mother and son. Their Grandmother made us a delicious spread of homemade authentic greek cuisine

itinerary promised red beach and white beach and hot springs. We didn’t actually get to go to those locations we anchored near them and swam for 20 mins near them but not on them. Itinerary also states that towels are provided and are not. Hot springs are in fact NOT hot. They were not organized at end of sea portion and were not told where we needed to go for second half of excursion. The land portion was nice and the tour guide and driver were the sweetest guys.

Wine with Eleni was a perfect way to be introduced to different Greek wines. She had so much knowledge that she shared with us. We also really enjoyed that it was a place were locals in Athens gathered with friends.

We had no idea Tinos had so many beautiful villages. With this tour, you also get to see a lot of the island which definitely would not have seen on our own. Sofia was so knowledgable and kind. We had the best time with her!

We loved the variety of food that we got to taste on this tour. It was really great that every place had plates ready for us to try. Sofia was again so knowledgable and helpful to have on this tour with us. We were happy and full by the end of the tour!

We loved that this included a tour of the village that the winery was located in. We wouldn't have explored it ourselves, and our local guide, Anna, was so knowledgeable and kind. Being able to visit a farm was such a unique experience. Getting to hear about a local production was special. The food we cooked together was amazing!

Staff was very welcoming. We rented the family apartment and it was spacious with a wonderful balcony. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bathrooms were beautiful. Our favorite is the roof top bar - such an amazing view. A few little things for improvement: There was only one key and when we asked for two they were unable to give us another one. That meant that when our group split up we had to coordinate access to the apartment. Also the lights in the hall and stairway were out the time we were there and it was very dark. The apartment also smelled of cigarette smoke. Finally - we ordered vegetarian to go lunches. We confirmed that they were vegetarian. They were not vegetarian.

The rooms were a little smaller than we had anticipated (three of our children shared a room that was pretty tight). However, everything else about this hotel was excellent. Wonderful location, beautiful pool, very plentiful breakfast. The rooms were clean and the showers were modern. The best part of the stay was the staff. They were very helpful. On our last day as we headed out to the beach they let us know that the tour guide had not booked that night. There was a mix up and we didn't have rooms for the last night. However, they quickly tried to resolve the issue and found a room at a nearby hotel for half of our party and the other half was able to stay in their room. We really appreciated their help and the guidance they gave us about seeing different beaches on the island.

We had a great driver who gave us lots of background information on the countryside. Our cooking class with Katrina and Maria was wonderful. Not too rushed, but we did quite a bit. We all really enjoyed the food and our instructors made the class interesting to all of us (adults and kids). It felt like visiting with old friends when we sat around and ate lunch. Highly recommend this class to anyone!

Georgina was the best! Out of an entire week in Greece - this was one of our favorite activities. Georgina was very knowledgeable, adapted to our questions and interests, and had a wonderful way of sharing information. We covered so much of the old part of the city and learned so much.

This ended up being a really nice tour. However, the tour we thought we were getting (which focused more on mythology) was not the one the tour guide thought she was giving. The tour that was planned was a little more for younger children and less focused on the mythology of the island - which we were really interested in. That being said, once we realized the disconnect, our guide was super accommodating and made arrangements to visit at least one temple (the one we really wanted to see). She was luckily a licensed guide and she was very knowledgeable. We were so luck to have had her. We visited a farm/petting zoo. We probably could have shortened that part - but the kids had fun and the Owner was hilarious. He had such a welcoming manner and he and his pet sheep were very entertaining. Our lunch was delicious - perhaps one of the best of the trip.

It’s a bit difficult to find, but it’s very clean and the staff is very friendly.

The room with the loft where we stayed was a bit deceiving. You could not even stand up straight in the loft nor the bathroom that is up there. I would not recommend this unit for 4 adults, but if traveling with younger kids it should work ok. The main bathroom with the shower is tiny. For women who shave their legs, good luck doing that in this shower. The staff is awesome, which helps to make up for some of these downsides.

Definitely off the beaten path and just outside a cute village. It is worth it though. The view is incredible and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel advertised they have staff to assist with the luggage until 18:30, which was not true in our case. After a full day traveling, we had to carry our baggage up a steep flight of stairs just to get to the lobby level/registration. It would have been helpful to know that ahead of time. The rooms were very nice, clean and modern. And this was the first hotel that provided washcloths - which may seem like a small thing, but to those of us used to using washcloths daily, it was a huge bonus. The location was great and very convenient to many restaurants and shopping and the port.

Our guide made this what we wanted. We were able to modify our stops according to what we had already experienced. She was able to adjust our agenda on the fly. This one did not disappoint.

You have to go to Hydra! It is such a quaint island. No cars!! Lots of stairs, so be prepared. Well worth it to carve out time. If the weather (including the wind) conditions do not cooperate, you will not be able to go to the beach. This was our experience, however our guide more than made up for it with stops at some of the local establishments that he was familiar with.

The crew makes this an awesome excursion! Kayaking is fun, no doubt, but with their energy, positive attitudes and stories/ details - it was even better! Highly recommend!!

This could be an alternative excursion to the sunset kayak tour. The staff was nice and the food was good. It was great to interact with other travelers from all over the world too. Great excursion

If you are considering this be prepared for a 30 minute hike (and I mean hike) down to the beach. There are limited beach umbrellas, so you might want to bring your own. And then you have to hike out after soaking up some sun. OR your guide can take you to the 7minute hike spot for pictures and then drive you to another beach that have food/drink/restrooms close by plus MANY umbrellas and cabanas to rent. That’s what we opted for - now keep in mind this was towards the end of our trip, so we were getting a little worn out 😊 But this was beautiful and a very relaxing experience for us. Our guide provided food and water for us, so we didn’t have to worry about that either. Highly recommend and you might consider the alternative path that we took!

This was our favorite hotel. LOVED it. Clean, roomy, management was friendly, and close to the beach and downtown.

Last stop was the best. Could have eliminated the first stop. Too much wine for one afternoon.

I really enjoyed our stay at Fedriades Hotel in Delphi. The town itself was beautiful, and the hotel offered stunning views of the valley from our windows. The restaurant right across the street, recommended by the hotel manager, was great too. It had a large bank of windows with valley views and delicious food. There was a bit of an odd situation where one room was significantly larger with a sitting area, kitchen, and giant patio, so we ended up drawing straws to see who would get it. It added a bit of fun to our trip, though it was unexpected. Overall, this hotel was fantastic.

Our stay at the Ippoliti Hotel in Nafplio was very nice. It was probably the fanciest hotel in terms of interior décor, and having a pool was a great touch. There was a bit of confusion as some of our group members were placed in a different building with upgraded rooms, and we almost didn’t know where they were. Despite that, those who received the nicer rooms were thrilled, and we tried to ensure everyone got a fair turn at the better accommodations.

Our stay at Abelonas Retreat in Santorini was good but had some issues. We had six rooms in total, and one couple ended up with a room where the bed was against two walls, making it very inconvenient. The manager wasn’t available to help right away, but your team managed to get us a new room the next morning, which was a relief. The hotel manager was kind of grumpy and not very accommodating when we asked for better views or nicer rooms for those who hadn’t had such experiences yet. This was the only place where we felt a bit let down.

The restaurant was tucked up in the heart of the old market. WONDERFUL food, and super cool atmosphere. Great choice!

The Guide was amazing, and the acropolis is a 'must see' in Athens, but it was CROWDED and hot. Recommend this, but maybe not in the middle of summer.

I cannot say enough about our driver for the first 6 days of our journey. George - you are amazing and your "Tetris" training came in handy as you dealt with our luggage day after day!

I think we agreed that this was the best tour of all - our guide was fantastic, we arrived near the end of the day, so very few other people there (and maybe a bit cooler). A must-see.

Another surprise 'hidden gem' of a place. Finally learned what/who the Oracle of Delphi is and why this place was so special. The little town of Delphi is gorgeous too...

We have some experience with beekeeping, so listening to a master beekeeper is always a treat. She was amazing, and had some really interesting other (bee related) things to look at / taste and purchase. Baklava = honey!

All I can say is that this was a highlight of our trip. We had a BLAST and the food was amazing. Who knew how time consuming it was to prepare octopus (or squid - can't remember the difference now!)!?

It was our 2nd time there, so less 'amazing' for us and it was HOT, but our guide was great!

So glad we got to go see some of the villages higher up on the island of Naxos. BEAUTIFUL places, and our guide was (again) amazing!

I wasn't really sure about spending 6 hours on a boat cruising around in the caldera - but it was a wonderful experience. Very much worth doing. Especially liked hiking on the heart of the ancient volcano.

Our host was the owner and manager so he was a wealth of information with TONS of interesting things to share with us. The olive oil was smooth and flavorful, and (like so many of our dining experiences in Greece) the food was both wonderful and PLENTIFUL!

Maybe I've been to too many wineries. This was a very nice experience, but also similar to other wine adventures I've enjoyed. The food (with wine pairings) was very good...

This was actually a '3 winery' tour - which was a very nice way to spend our last evening in Santorini. The meal at the last winery was wonderful.

Hotel is near Matreaski square so is convenient location. Room was quite small and lobby as well. The lift is inconvenient and hard to load suitcases. Staff was very friendly and quite understanding to help with late checkin and check out. Not fancy but definitely worth for a quick stay.

Nice little gem that is in a rock style, facing the sea and at a high point. The balcony has a jacuzzi and best sunset view. Room was convenient though AC didn’t seem powerful enough to cool the whole room. Ample space and very convenient. Staff is friendly and courteous. But if stairs to climb up and down to room but the bell boys were happy to lug the suitcases for us.

Absolutely fantastic hotel that is kid friendly, comfortable and with all amenities. Little away from town which probably the only drawback but it’s self sufficient.

It was fun activity to kayak with them. There were two guides so was feeling safe with my little guy. We got to see beautiful sunset and insides of a cave. There was a short snack break with fruits and lemonade. They even arranged hot tea for my son. Dinner was very delicious as well. Highly recommend this!

This tour was great with multiple activities. Starting with a visit to Pyrgos village where we got to walk around and experience the classic Santorini houses and the blue dome churches. We got a glimpse of Red Beach. Wish could actually go to beach. We also got to see Akrotiri ruins however due to a strike we cdnt have a guide to explain. It’s a little harder to get a good idea without a guide. Lost Atlantis museum was informational and was enjoyed by my kid. It’s like a VR simulation.

Visit to Thermopylae was interesting. There is not much to see in terms of monuments or remains. However, the 3D simulation and the history is quite interesting. Delphi was amazing to see. Lot of the original monuments are in the archaeological site. Museum was informative as well. Lunch location was fantastic- both food and view. Peter was an engaging and knowledgeable guide!

This tour was very informative and wonderful to see the Roman Agora, Acropolis, Parthenon and more. It covers most of the Ancient monuments in Athens. Needs quite a bit of walking but the guide was very good. She was engaging, giving references to mythology.

Good day tour that covers visit to Dakiti, Lassithi plateau, cave where Zeus was born, ceramic pottery factory/store, Knossos palace which has been partially recreated to see the Minoan civilization.

Our group of 13 had the place to ourselves as there are only 8 or 9 rooms. The roof top deck was a great place to hang out after a long day of travel and touring. Our host was extremely pleasant, and a talented bartender. Located very near to the main drag, so we walked to lunch, and back from dinner. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Our tour guide was amazing - she was very knowable about the site and museum, and interacted with our group extremely well. Many in our group took the opportunity to "run" in the Olympic stadium - what an unusual experience - so grateful!

While the food was amazing, there was entirely too much of it - 7 courses, I think. The reservation was at 7 pm, and not starting to eat until 7:30 pm - that's just too late in the evening for this mid-western gal. Also, there didn't seem to be anything to do in the little town - so nothing to entertain us while we waited until 7 pm. They refused to seat us until 7 pm.

While the activity was somewhat interesting, the reality fell short of expectations. The time of day was also unfortunate - several in our group were fighting to stay awake. The honey was delicious, but lacked depth of flavor.

This tour was amazing, only because we were allowed to explore/climb/sit in the 2500 year old Amphitheater! The rest of the ruin was overshadowed by this experience. Be sure to schedule your visit for the very first thing before the rest of the tourists arrive, and ask to see the Theater first.

The driver picked us up at the front door of the hotel, and delivered us to the bottom of the hill where we met our guide. George was great - so glad we had him for 5 days. I don't want to travel any other way again!

What a great experience to see and tour the Acropolis with an expert. Though the place was packed with other tourists, I felt we had a much better experience rather than an audio self-guided tour. It also helped to have someone personally walk us through the entrance gates - less waiting and confusion.

Beautiful location - rooftop terrace - great food, and got to watch the Acropolis light up as the sun went down.

The bee hive tomb was very cool! The rest of the ruin was "meh."

What a great, relaxing lunch in the shade under the trees. Our host was very knowledgeable and personable - we really enjoyed our time with him. They served fabulous food, and easily provided plenty of GF food for the two individuals who required it.

It was a beautiful location and building. The tour felt a bit rushed, but fun to see the things. Lunch was excellent, but entirely too much food - several dishes were never touched, and that feels very wasteful. We enjoyed the family style serving, and they easily accommodated the two who are GF. The wine was OK - it tasted very young (not aged).

Our group really enjoyed this - our hosts were so genuine, kind, and welcoming. And the food was delicious!

Good food, walkable from the hotel, staff were kind and accommodating for our large group of 12.

We thought it would be more about food than culture, and it was longer than 4 hours. Though one of the dishes on this tour was my favorite in all the food I ate while in Greece for two weeks! The olive oil tasting was fun and educational, though I enjoyed the history - spoken and visible - more. The retail shopping after lunch went long - I believe there was something about the credit card machine.

This was a lot of fun, though long - advertised as 6 hours, and it was 8 hours if not more. Also, as advertised as a traditional wooden boat, but the diesel fumes got old really quick.

While it was fun and interesting to see the differences between the three wineries, dinner was too long (timing - too much time between courses - and too much food), especially as we were departing early the next morning.

The tour was fine, and our guide and driver was great. The winery stop at Art Space was mediocre. While paros gave us a good tour, the staff member at the winery was more interested in selling us art painting and wine bottles. Seemed a little too touristy. The Kitro experience in Naxos was much better and family owned.

Nasos is the best

Our stay at 18 Grapes Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail and genuine care extended to guests, both in the rooms and throughout the property, truly stood out. Located just a short stroll from one of Naxos's most stunning beaches, the hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury and convenience. One of the highlights was the delicious made-to-order breakfasts, which were a delightful start to each day. The dedicated staff ensured our comfort with their warm hospitality and attentive service, making our stay truly memorable. Additionally, the rooftop restaurant served delicious food with breathtaking views, adding an extra touch of luxury to our evenings.

The hotel was wonderful, and the location was superb! The roof top dining was such an amazing experience. The food was delicious, and the exquisite views of the Acropolis made it that much more special.

Our recent stay at El Grecco hotel left us with mixed feelings. While the lobby was charming and the receptionists were friendly and helpful, there were some notable drawbacks. Accommodation: We booked two rooms, one of which had a mildew smell, and the other had stains on the furniture. However, the clerks were responsive and tried their best to address these issues promptly. Atmosphere: The hotel tends to host large groups, which meant a bustling atmosphere with frequent tour groups checking in and out. Dining Experience: There was a wide variety of breakfast options available, though the food itself was average in quality. Location: One aspect we found inconvenient was the hotel's location. While there were some decent restaurants within walking distance, we found ourselves spending most of our time in Oia, wishing we had chosen accommodation there or closer. Overall Impression: In summary, El Grecco offers a pleasant lobby and friendly reception staff. However, the issues with room conditions and the bustling nature of the hotel, combined with its location, left us feeling that it was an average choice for our stay in Santorini.

Our tour guide as wonderful! He was incredibly knowledgeable and did an excellent job of providing a comprehensive and engaging tour.

This excursion was undeniably one of the highlights of our trip! We enjoyed it so much, we added a sunset tour to our itinerary.

This was one of our favorite activities! Maria and her team were gracious cooking hosts and we learned how we can bring Greek cooking back home!

Wow- this was incredible! Katiana (?sp) was so knowledgeable and had so much passion for her city and her country. She went above and beyond by arranging for special music from Mamma Mia for our daughter during this visit.
