The highlight for was spending time in Athens , Delphi, Epidaurus and Mycenae. I absolutely adored the private tour guides Penny in Delphi and Theo in Epidaurus. I prefer all the hisotry and someone who can bring it alive for me. The provate tour guides did this for me (the group tour not so much). I highly recommend licensed private tour guides. They can tailor the tour to your specific interests, you get one on one attention, and move at your pace as opposed to group tours. You pay more, but I think it is a far better experience.

If you enjoy islands, beaches, and expensive touristy destinations, then you would like Mykonis and Santorini. Honestly, they were not my favorite as I am not a beach person. I am more interested in local culture, food, historic sites, and less interested in being a pampered tourist who like to shop. However, Mykonis provides access to Delos by sailboat and that was a lovely experience. Not only could we swim off the boat but we could explore the incredible prehistoric/historic site of Delos. Also, Santorini provided access to the Akrotiri of Thera site which was amazing.

In hindsight, I would have added a couple slower pace days. I am glad we saw everything we could but it was a bit exhausting by then end of the tour. I am responsible for that as I approved the itinerary. That being said, the geography we covered was significant and I definitely know where I want to explore further in Greece next time.

As I mentioned above, group tours are not for me. I participated in one group tour to the Parthenon which was my least favorite. I feel like roaming cattle moving through the site at pace that I did not appreciate. I found it less personal and not as enjoyable. Also, I had one interaction with that tour guide that left me sour. I would rather tour by myself than join a group tour.

Delphi is an amazing site. The experience is greatly enhanced with having a tour guide who can explain it to you. Also, I highly recommend going to Mer Des Oliviers for lunch afterwards. The owners were gracious and explained their six generation owned olive business. The food was incredible. The views were beautiful. I loved it there. Check it out. Our driver George was professional, lovely man who enjoyed talking with as we traveled from Athens.

Overall great. The sea experience was less than we were hoping. Would have preferred a snorkeling and scenery focused tour on a smaller boat. The Catamaran was huge with 60+ people more focused on the drinks and dancing to extremely loud music. The music lyrics were fine for young adults but not always appropriate for younger children. The larger boat of course anchored well offshore in deeper water so there wasn't much to see snorkeling. Towels were NOT provided as claimed in the overview so we had to drip dry. Rest of the tour was great. Got to see the less commercial towns and sights of the island with a knowledgeable guide.

Great planning. George, our general tour guide, was very personable and kept track of all of us. The coach driver did some tricky maneuvers to get us to our destinations.
The balance of free time and scheduled events was good. (We especially appreciated the free day in Athens at the end of the tour, since we missed the first day due to mechanical issues with a plane.)
The local guides were informative, but one of them had an accent that made it difficult to understand. The sailing day was excellent. We especially enjoyed the food tour. Sofia was friendly, spoke great English, and provided us with a private tour, because some of our group could not go on the trip. It was great learning about the history, culture, and food of Kalamata.
Finally, thank you for the gift bag in our last hotel. It was very generous and unexpected.

Once I planned the trip I forwarded the information to Kimkim. From that point forward they chose the planned route based on my request. They picked the route along with, driver service and hotel options along the route. The travel route was chosen to minimize travel time and maximize exploration time. Our trip included visiting multiple historic sites. The Acropolis in Athens, Apollo in Delphi, Olympia, Nafplio and the island of Crete, where we visited Knossos palace and did a foodie tour in Chania. All of our guides were wonderful. My one complaint would be that we never knew what our guides name was until we meet up and at times it was really just by accident that we connected. Either we approached individuals to see if they were our guide or they approached us. Our driver service was great. The drivers picked us up at the given times and we were given advanced notice of any changes. I will definitely use this company again without hesitation. Thank you

The Palace of King Minos and the House of Minotaur

While out trip started out rocky with lost luggage, it quickly became a trip of a lifetime. Every driver and tour guide treated us like family. On Crete, we had the pleasure of having Nikolas in both Heraklion and Chania. He treated us so wonderfully and provided an amazing travel experience. Our trip was amazing and the first class service was like being in a 5 star hotel the whole trip.

We wanted a low-stress, memorable family vacation in Greece to celebrate our daughter's college graduation, and Eirini and the KimKim team exceeded expectations! We shared what we like to do and Eirini created a perfect itinerary focused on the local food and culture with plenty of time to kick back with a book and relax. Highlights were the food tour of Naxos with Natasha, a wonderfully, enthusiastic guide and the walking tour of small villages with Stella who was amazingly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, giving us aromatherapy treats from obliging trees and introducing us to an adorable fennel-loving donkey. But all of our guides and activities, without fail, exceeded expectations, and the fellow travelers we met in our groups along the way only enhanced each experience. I very much appreciated not having to worry about the details and knowing Eirini and team were available to answer our questions, which they always did very promptly. Highly recommend Eirini and KimKim!

An incredible and authentic experience!!! One of our favorite memories of our trip.

Everyone's nightmare - loosing your phone in a foreign country 12 hours before departure! Upon arriving back at our hotel on the last night, one traveler realized he had lost his phone. We'd been on two boats and a taxi! We immediately messaged KimKim and they began contacting the cruise and transfer company. Then using Find My Phone, the location was determined and KimKim contacted the transfer driver. Without KimKim, this would have been a lost phone and a frantic traveler!

We had the most amazing time in the Greek Islands of Naxos, Milos and Santorini! Naxos was our favorite because it is not very touristy and the staff at Villa Marandi. Villa Marandi is a little gem about 10 minutes outside of Chora (Naxos Town) and requires cabs or a car for each trip. I would recommend renting a car for ultimate freedom to explore beaches and villages. We were able to rent a minivan - we were a party of 6 - for $75 Euro a day. Cabs cost us $80+ tip for each round trip into town because we needed 2 cars.

The staff at Villa Marandi treated you like family every time you returned. They were super responsive to every request, and the food and drinks were top notch! The resort is located on the beach and has a beautiful pool. I would definitely recommend staying at Villa Marandi and renting a car.

We did a Cultural & Food Tour with Labrena (Ray of Sunshine in Greek) and she lived up to her name! She was the perfect ambassador to Naxos! We took a sail with Naxos Sailing with Captain Ana and Firstmate Harris. They were excellent.

In Milos, we ventured out on sea kayaks on a windy chilly day. The crew had sea skirts for us which enclosed our torsos and legs in the kayak, keeping us dry and warm. The sites were beautiful and the water refreshing!

In Santorini, we took a sunset cruise on a private boat where the crew took great care of us! We saw stunning sites, swam, had an amazing dinner, and saw a lovely sunset.

In Athens, we toured the Acropolis with Effie who was an amazingly knowledgable guide not just about the ancient sites but Athens and Greek life in general. We truly enjoyed our time with her.

I honestly cannot think of enough wonderful things to say both about our local specialist, Chris and the company as a whole. From the beginning stages of planning all the way up until the end, everything was smooth and seamless. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to speak with and always prompt with his responses. The trip was tailored perfectly to our likes/interests. It's truly hard to pinpoint a specific 'favorite' from the trip, as there were so many great moments. If I had to choose a few, I'd say the cooking class in Vamos is an absolute must. The atmosphere was so unique, the food delicious and the instructor, Mrs. Koula was very warm and inviting. Another highlight was the Jeep Safari from Rethymno to Prevali beach. It was so enjoyable to go 'off the beaten path' to smaller villages in the mountains and to a very private, beautiful beach. Dionysus, our guide, was a lot of fun and had great information to share with us!
All of our accommodations were centrally located, which was so great as we ended up walking most everywhere. Speaking of walking......we did A LOT of that but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way as it took us to some places that we likely wouldn't have ended up at otherwise. All of the tour guides we had were exceptional; very knowledgeable and friendly. The preset transfers were convenient and very prompt. All of the extra recommendations given by the company (restaurants, neighborhoods, sights, etc) were an added bonus.
Overall, I cannot recommend this company enough! If you're thinking about planning a trip, don't hesitate to reach out to them!!

Our trip was wonderful and perfectly planned and executed by this company. I would recommend them to everyone. All of the tours were personal and our tour guides were exceptional with immense knowledge. We loved the cooking lesson in Vamos, the jeep tour excursion in Rethmyno, and the sea kayaking in Santorini. We probably enjoyed Chania the best with all the beautiful architecture, history, terrific fresh food, and our place to stay was beautiful. All of our hotels were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. AND we did a lot of walking and climbing!!! Also, our transfers and tour guides were always very prompt! It was probably a once in a lifetime vacation for me, as I'm 73, but I don't think we missed anything!

We enjoyed the attention of the chef and how he explained each dish. He lavished is with so many unique dishes! We had a dessert stop first in Plakka and I’d recommend doing that last!

We rented a car/van. We had a free day in Naxos on this day to explore villages. We enjoyed Chalki.

Fantastic trip that included nearly all of the main Grecian highlights, travel was impeccably coordinated with luxurious Mercedes sprinter vans and clear instructions on who to meet at which locations. The tour guides were truly outstanding especially Zakia at the Athens sites, Giannis and Nektaria in Crete and Iota in Santorini. The company was flexible in shifting our plans while in country to accommodate preferences. Would absolutely travel with Kimkim again

Dimitrios was excellent to work with. Our trip was wonderful. Hotel staff, drivers and guides were courteous, prompt and welcoming.

This was my first time traveling out of the country and Eirini made it such a stress free experience! From us coordinating our trip she truly wanted to ensure my husband and I had a great experience by booking awesome activities such as a wine tour, food tour, acropolis tour and many more other activities. She was prompt in communication, i never felt alone, it was comforting to know i could reach out at any time. I had such a wonder experience that I am looking forward to booking future travel with kim kim!

Everything about our trip to Greece was exceptional, thanks to Chris. He clearly used the planning phase of our collaboration to understand us and what we might enjoy. Every hotel, tour guide, activity, and reservation was perfect - and extra details made the trip easy and luxe for us. Chris booked not only great hotels, but the best room in the great hotels. He chose the best seats on airplanes and the ferry, the most exceptional tours and guides, fantastic drivers - the list is endless. Unforgettable anniversary trip to Athens & Santorini! Thanks to Antonis, Dimitrios and the whole Be a Greek team. We enjoyed being able to create a custom itinerary and the planning and booking process on kim kim was easy. We'd never done private tours before but we loved it--no waiting in lines, waiting for others, or navigating transportation! The guides were excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable. The drivers were timely, helpful, and did a great job navigating the traffic, especially in Athens. Excellent communication from the whole team made our vacation from planning to on-site so fun and stress free. The two hotels we stayed at, Eli Ermou (Athens) and Asha Suites (Santorini) were great choices, recommend both. Greece is a beautiful...the place, the people , the history...the trip exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend to others.
