KimKim turned out to be a great asset to me. Where other travel companies had set itineraries, KimKim let me tailor my trip to exactly what I wanted. My agent, Christina, was wonderful. She worked with me to create a great itinerary, was always available (even when she wasn't on the clock) to answer any of my questions or address my concerns. She patiently offered different trip plans until I found the one that suited my interests. Her assistance did not end with the accepted trip plan, Christina continued to be in contact throughout our trip and even afterward. Christina also incorporated the travel I was doing on my own into our travel plan making for a concise plan. We did 12 days of public transportation and everything was worked out to a t. Location, location, location! This couldn't have been a more beautiful location in a historic building. The hotel and room were charming. That being said, it did have its drawbacks. There is no elevator in the historic building and going up and down the stairs got old quickly. The walls are paper thin, we heard EVERYTHING from the couple nextdoor. The rooms are pleasantly attractive but could use an update. Beware of the hot water, it is scalding. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, the dinner buffet was a bit disappointing.

Full Day Geiranger Fjord Cruise

The trip is three hours out, two hours at Geiranger and three hours back. The only interesting scenery was within the last hour near Geiranger. Geiranger is very touristy and other than a beautiful little walk to a spectacular waterfall, had nothing to offer.

Eliise organised an awesome 7 day trip in Norway for us. Communication and payment was easy in lead up to travel. Support during travel was great over whatsapp. We were a little unlucky with the weather (strong winds and heavy rain) which obstructed some of the views for our hikes with blanket fog - but we still made the most of our time. Some of the hikes were challenging but rewarding (many stairs!!). We found the local people in Norway very friendly and polite, and fresh Cod was delicious - recommend ordering fish on the menu!
We enjoyed the icy mountain tops of the Lofoten Isands and even tried out Arctic surf lessons which was very fun and a bucket list item! We would go through Kimkim again for travel.

This was our first time booking a trip and we decided to give KimKim team a shot. Christina was awesome and helped us every step of the way. She made edits to make sure we went on adventures we wanted and put together activities that were so much fun! Our trip to Norway would not have been as fun nor as easy without her and the team. This was our first time booking with KimKim and it was an excellent experience all around. Tom especially did a great job with planning. Absolutely worth a special trip. A gorgeous church although it is smaller than it looks in the photos. We had our taxi wait on the other side of the Vindhellavegen and walked up and over the top. It was not a difficult walk and was a very cool experience.

This trip was so much better than I ever expected it could be, and I have to send massive kudos to our trip planner Christina. We told her what we wanted to see and do, she over-delivered. There’s a restaurant in Oslo I wanted to experience, but was told by friends “there’s no way you’ll ever get a res there”. They were wrong. Christina took care of it. I wanted luxury accommodations. Christina delivered. How about seeing the fjords, too? Of course. She set us up at 29/2 Aurland. I NEVER would’ve found this on my own. Never. Our guide there, Anders, was an absolute gem. He anticipated our needs without us even having to ask. Truly an amazing person. And the property was just beyond. We’d travel back to Norway just for 29/2 and Anders! Christina, you truly went over and above for us and the result was the trip of a lifetime. Can’t wait to use kimkim again, hopefully our next planner will be just as wonderful as Christina. Btw, I didn’t even mention her lightning fast responses to my every inquiry during the trip planning process. Christina definitely the gold standard.

I can’t recommend this destination enough. Easy transport from the train, and hugely authentic accommodations. The real deal, not faux. Amazing dinners in a beautiful setting. If there’s a candle shortage in Aurland it’s because of them. Be sure to ask for the wood fired hot tub. The experience of a lifetime. But, moreover, be sure to ask for Anders as your guide. He’ll customize an itinerary for you and treat you like his best friends. We’d go back just for Anders!

The farm tour was amazing. The woman who owns the farm took us on a hike on her property and showed us a summer cabin where she made us Norwegian pancakes. We learned about her family's life there and how she is trying to preserve it for generations. It was a unique and special experience that we wouldn't have had as average tourists.

My family and I absolutely loved our trip to Norway! A few major highlights and thoughts:
1. Our walking tour guide, John, walked us through Bergen and it was absolutely amazing. He gave us some really great suggestions of where to spend our free time in the city and an overall history of the city. We walked over 30k steps that day which was a record for many of us!
2. Our day full days in Aurland were the absolute best. Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri had the most amazing views over the water and was a dream come true for us, and their Gastro Pub was some of the best food we had on the trip. While we were in Aurland, we taxi'd where we needed to but if we could back and do the trip over, I think we would have added a day to the this portion of the trip and we would have rented a car in Bergen to get us there and give us more exploration freedom while in that region. The kayak and boat tour in the fjords were the absolute highlights of our trip!
3. Constitution day in Bergen was absolutely insane, I thought Americans partied hard so that was really fun to see and celebrate with them on that day. We were staying in the city center so we got a great view of all the festivities.

Overall, everyone was super welcoming and helpful when we needed it and it was an amazing trip. I'll definitely be using KimKim again in the future for more international trips! Christina was so amazing with answering all of my questions and keeping us in the loop while we were on our trip.

We just got back from our honeymoon in Norway and the team here was nothing short of amazing. Within our 10 day trip we were able to see so much and go to so many places thanks to the help we received. Our local specialist was Krista and she was extremely helpful from the very beginning. There was a lot we wanted to do in a short amount of time and we were able to get so much done due to the planning she did. We also had help from Julia, Fenne, and Meree before our trip and during our trip when we had questions. One of the best things were the tours they helped us set up. Seeing the beauty of the fjords as close as we did is a memory we will never forget. Going to Cornelius restaurant was also a highlight of our trip. When we went there we were not sure what to expect but as soon as the food started coming out we got to try food that I probably would have never tried before and I am so glad I did. We still talk about how amazing the fish was. I tell anyone who asks to book through here because they are so knowledgeable and helpful. We are already talking about when we will be going back and how we will be using here again!

Day trip to Nærøyfjord, Flåm and Stegastein

The scenery on this trip is beautiful. We had an amazing tour guide Steg, who kept us entertained and gave us so much information. When there was construction at a tunnel it messed our time line up a little and he rearranged our day a bit and you would have not even known the day was not as planned.

the trip through Kim kim was a breeze . Worth mentioning is Anna who was so patient planning and really tailoring our trip to the experiences and the places we wanted to go to. She made sure that we had exactly what we needed. She was very knowledgeable of the place and suggested the best places and best alternatives if we needed to change our plans. She was so enjoyable to work with.

the trip plan was well detailed including the activities we can do on our own, how long exactly our trips are, how close our hotel was to the train station etc. the tickets we needed to have were all ready! no hazel. Even the hotels ! All awesome.

everything was memorable. i enjoyed the Flamraiways train ride and got to see the most awesome view of norway!! the Wooden houses in Bergen which is a unesco heritage site....
the sculpture park ..... and how can you forget the view of the opera house in oslo while we did the floating sauna!!! Just amazing.

We arrrived into Oslo Norway April 18, 2023 by bus from Sweden. We checked into the nice Thon Hotel Terminus at 1400. We set off on foot to go to the Marina to visit the KonTiki and Fram Museums. Oslo was abuzz with people enjoying the nice sunny day. We had difficulty finding our way due to lack of street signs. The museums were very interesting.
After a wonderful breakfast at the Thon Hotel we had a short walk to catch the 8:25 train to Myrdal. After leaving Oslo
the train has amazing views of the snow in the mountains. Our train was stopped on the tracks for 78 minutes and I emailed Anna that we were not going to make our 1445 kayaking trip that afternoon. Anna rescheduled Kayaking to Friday morning (which we had free anyway). Because half of the people had to get off the train at Myrdal to get on a bus to stay on schedule, we had great views on both sides of the train on our amazing trip to Flam.
We checked into the Fretheim Hotel and had to switch rooms because (surprise) ours did not have a tv or a shower.
On Thursday we took the amazing Naeroyfjord Cruise to Gudvangen. We were going to see the Viking Village in Gudvangen but we were advised by another tourist that they were not open (surprise), we jumped back on the cruise so we didn't get stuck in Gudvangen for 5 hours with nothing to do. I counted 12 waterfalls out of Gudvangen.
On Friday was the highlight of our trip with a 3 hour kayaking trip in the fjords. Our kayaking guide was highly trained and made sure we were safe and entertained on our trip. Being on the water on a beautiful sunny day with that scenery is something we will never forget. At 15:30 we boarded the Ferry for a 5 hour boat ride to Bergen, That boat ride was really nice thru the fjords without having to go out in the open seas.
On Saturday after having another great breakfast in the Bergen Bors Hotel we waited in the hotel lobby for 45 minutes for our Bergen 3 hour walking tour guide who never showed up or even called (surprise) we just took off and went shopping. After lunch we took the tram up Mt Floyen. The views of Bergen from the top were stunning. After walking the wrong way up the mountain against traffic, we turned around and walked for 2 1/2 hours down the mountain.

We had an amazing trip and Norway, I liked KimKim because we could pick and choose what we liked to do. Anna was very helpful in planning our trip. Anna could have been better at scheduling but we were flexable and had a great time.

We added Norway trip to our Iceland trip towards the end. Eliise jumped in gave us options. We went back and forth few times to nail down what we wanted based on our liking and budget. She was very open with the options and suggestions. She even guided us in things that we decided to do on our own. We landed in Oslo and then spent most of our time in Bergen. There was an issue with hotel reservation and had to call emergency number. It was resolved eventually. Hotel was fantastic and location was just dead center. Loved the cruise and train rides. Only thing I would say is that there was not much follow up from the planner like our other trips.

We had an early flight so it was perfect that this hotel was right across from Oslo airport. Staff was friendly and guided us with trip to Oslo city center. Trash can in bathroom was broken but other than that it was comfortable.

Cruise was very comfortable and some great views of the near by village, Bergen bryggen and water falls along the way. Ship was comfortable with ample space on the deck and inside heated cabin. Restrooms were there too. They had a cafe with lots of food and drink options. The crew gave a treasure hunt/bingo for kids to spot and gave ice creams. Only improvement would be better windows for the inside cabin for better view.

It was my first time using KimKim and I would definitely do it again! My travel advisor, Tricia, was fantastic! She was super responsive and made planning our first trip to Norway so easy and enjoyable! With a little information from me, Tricia put together a fantastic tour that took us from Oslo to Flam to Bergen. Our hotels were fantastic! Even with a little blip in the plan in Oslo, she easily changed our hotel to The Thief which was wonderful. Our tour guide in Oslo, Stig, made Oslo come to life (and the city was closed due to the Easter holiday!). The train to Flam was stunning! Tricia took care of our tickets for everything - it was 5 star from beginning to end!

This was an amazing trip, and I am so grateful with the help in planning. That said, the booking process was a little rocky. It was hard not clear along the way what was booked, and one hotel we were booked into ended up being closed for the season. When problems did arise during the trip, Julia was on point to fix things right away. So I would give 5 stars to Julia for help during the trip and Marie for her help planning, but ultimately I could have done better booking the hotels and excursions on my own.

Check this one off the bucket list! My wife and I have wanted to get to Scandinavia for a while - hunt for the Aurora Borealis, see Reindeer, stay at an Ice Hotel, be a 'musher' on a Dog Sled, etc . This trip to Norway, with the help of KimKim / Ezdi exceeded all expectations. All the things we wanted to do, we did... and more! Oslo was beautiful; we stayed at a 5-Start hotel: The Thief - for our 1st few days in Norway. The staff was MAGNIFICENT …. the dining SUPERB! The area is on a man made island and includes museums, galleries, businesses, restaurants, shops and more. Everything you need is within walking distance. .. even the Nobel Peace Center, the HQ for Helly Hansen, and the Royal Palace - residence to the King and Queen of Norway.

Then, we head north, inside the Arctic Circle - an hour and 45 minute flight to Tromso. After landing, we took a 10 minute bus ride through the mountains via a tunnel to Tromso city and our hotel: Scandic Ishavshotel - right at the marina. Views were spectacular. Tromso is a cute 'village' with wonderful and ample shopping, restaurants, site seeing, and, oh yes, The Troll Museum!! We used the Scandic as sort of our 'home base' as we ventured out on day and overnight trips to places like Camp Tamok for a night stay in the Tromso Ice Domes (Brrrrrr), snow shoeing, dig sledding, and hunting (WITH SUCCESS) the Northern Lights... and a night stay at Lyngen North and their Glass Igloos - this time with heat and unparalleled views of the Lyngen Fjord and Lyngen Alps through our floor to ceiling AND ceiling windows! Also, another beautiful night to soak in the Northern Lights! The staff at both Camp Tamok and Lyngen North were wonderful! ... Oh, I can't forget the reindeer we saw at Camp Tamok and the moose at Lyngen North.

Fantastic trip from start to finish! Oslo is a beautiful walking city with such focus on history and art. Tromso a must see and highly recommend overnights to Tromso Ice Domes and Lyngen North Glass Igloos. People of Norway are amazing! Friendly, helpful and very welcoming!

Meree was incredibly patient and a wealth of information. We were trying to meet long-lost family AND keep up with my daughter's surprisingly fluid (their itinerary kept changing) school mission trip. Meree was able to make suggestions according to what we thought we wanted and what we ended up needing and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Return to Oslo, Explore

We returned to Oslo from Stockholm towards the evening just before shops closed and there wasn't much to do other than go to our hotel and get ready for our return flight. We booked our flight to Stockholm and back and chose a later flight on purpose so not a reflection on Meree or the Kimkim team at all.

We reserved our own flights to Norway and then within Norway and to Sweden. We booked the flexible/refundable tickets which came in handy as we ended up rescheduling once. They are a bit pricey but worth it if you at all think you might need to make adjustments along the way. Also learned that the less expensive tickets increase in price substantially about 2 weeks out from the date you want to fly.
